I purchased this electric throw to help keep my electricity bill down. I have one on my bed and I keep one in the living room to keep me warm while I watch TV so I don't have to keep the main heater on so much. This electric throw will shut off automatically in 3 hours when you first turn it on. It has 3 heat settings. Have any of you ever put your sweatpants/shirts in the dryer for a few minutes to get them warm and then put them on immediately and enjoy the warmth for a few seconds (that's all it lasts)....well imagine that feeling for minutes or hours. That's what these electric throws are like. These throws are so warm.

I gave this blanket to my mother for Christmas. I was disappointed at first at how the wiring inside the blanket made the blanket so stiff, the fabric is soft though. My mother is thrilled with it and uses it every evening while she knits or sits at her computer. Her legs are always cold regardless of how high the temp is set in the house. Now she is so cozy in the evening!

Very soft and great for the couch. I wish it were a little longer (I am 5'6), but it gets really warm and if you have pets, they will be all over you (and te blanket). I would buy it again.

I live in central NC and initially I was thinking 'space heater or electric blanket'. The blanket won out due to less drawbacks and I'm glad I got it. It also has more applications: put it on high to treat sport injuries/stiffness, warm up the 'pups' after a cold walk, snuggle up to watch movies, warm up the bed.... In the month I've owned it I've been nothing but happy with its performance and appearance. The dark blue looks great and cleans up well, just shake it off is all I've done. The 3 hour auto shut off is a great feature and the 3 heat settings are practical and all you actually need. If you are in the market, get this one and you'll be glad you did.

I bought this for my elderly father who was always cold following open heart surgery. It heats up fast and keeps him toasty warm. He had suffered for months trying to get warm and a regular throw just wasn't working for him. I ordered this for him and he has been very happy with it and tells everyone how good it works for him. He keeps it on 1 so it didn't take much unlike some other electric blankets.
