It works just like you need it to. Do you have a cold room? Cold feet? Then don't hesitate buy this electric matress pad. As many have stated on their reviews, it takes a few minutes for the heat to be felt. They all do. So put it on 5-10 minutes before getting into bed and you will have a warm toasty bed waiting for you. I set it on HIGH setting 5 minutes before and then cut it down to 4 at a comfy level or risk waking up BURNING from too much heat! If it overheats, the mattress pad has a shut off circuit that kicks it to ERROR mode and shuts off. I like that safety. To reset it, hit the power button off and on again.
