Bought this to mount on the back of my 46" Samsung TV because the TV overheats and then flickers.
Does a great job cooling TV but by mounting it on the back plactic cover, the noise level is pretty high.
Rubber shock mounts might help reduce the noise level, but I opt'd to try another slower speed fan.

This is a good, well built fan, that moves a lot of air. The only potential problem might be the noise. I would not use it in an application where noise might be a factor. I tried it in cooling my stereo receiver, but I had to switch to a quieter fan, because of the high noise level. As I have said, this fan moves a lot of air, so if you want to cool a nuclear reactor, this is the fan for you.
