My thermostat quit operating on the 2009 home I purchased a year ago. I was thinking of calling a repair specialist, etc when my partner suggested I see if there was a replacement on Amazon and try to install ourselves. I searched the item using models numbers, ordered and we replaced it ourselves in less than five minutes for a brand new fully operating thermostat! Could not ask for a better product or money saver!

It was a replacement for an identical item I hadn't realized there were AA batteries inside, and the ones in my prior unit leaked out. The new one was easy to replace.

Easy operation and easy to install.

Only down side is that when it calls for heat from the furnace it makes a loud click.

I have ten of these in my house, and I have had to replace three of them because sections of the display stopped working. Another drawback is the loud click when the thermostat turns on or off but the sound is easy to get used to (so long as it is set to 20 minute intervals instead of 15).
