Do get this! Otherwise the fan will run all the time that it has sun to run the solar roof fan. It was very easy to install and worth the few extra dollars.

It was a couple of weeks after we received this item that we had dry enough weather to actually install the Solar powered attic fan. It's working wonderfully well ... we have had 80 degree weather for several days now, and the house is not nearly as warm inside as it was before the installation. So........I give the product an A+.

Very simple installation. The length of the cable is fairly long, so I had to wrap it around itself so it wouldn't hit my attic floor.

This thermostat was unavailable for a long time unless you bought a two-pack. Once it finally came back I purchased it for my attic fan right away. It works perfectly and was quite easy to install. It hangs down into my attic but doesn't block anything. For tips on installing the attic fan check out the This Old House video they have where a similar one is put in.
