This vent replaced one that leaked even after extensive attempts of sealing. The installation instructions were clear and simple. The installation was very easy. The fan is quiet but effective. The vent lid is a nice shade of blue but clear enough to add some light to that area of my RV. I did not opt for the vent with a remote control as I would not use it enough to justify the extra cost. I am not sure I will use the reversing fan feature but thought it may come in handy at some time. If you are in need of a replacement vent or adding a new one I believe this Fan-Tastic Vent is as good as it gets.

This vent replaced one that had an invisible leak that was not stopped with new caulking. It was very easy to install and works perfectly. The new feature of the reversing fan direction will be quite usefull and the tinted cover keeps out the harsh sun. The more expensive model with a remote control feature was determined unnecessary. I am very happy with this vent; it did the job.

This is the best fan we have ever had in an RV and we have had RV's for over 15 years. If you want the best quality and nice snug fit with little or no hassle getting it installed get this fan. The worst part of a fan replacement is the old sealer removal which you get a small plastic tool to do and it takes a few minutes. The install was worth the effort and the fans system is awesome. We set the tem on it so if the inside is a little warm it vents automatically when we are not there. This is the one to buy!

Not that this is a simple plug and play device but if you are a genius like me and hook it up to the 110 rather than a 12v power source and try to flick it on, the small built in fuse will quickly let you know with a puff of smoke that you've done something rather extraordinary and NOT followed the instructions. Not a problem, just pop it out, replace it (rewire it properly) and it fires right up. There is even a dummy proof sensor that won't allow you to run the fan with the vent 10% closed!!

This thing looks amazing on my 1958 Shasta and fit right in place without drilling, sawing, or complex wiring. Great Product
