I replaced the defrost thermostat in my refrigerator with this part along with a new defrost timer. I really do not know for sure which old part was bad but the fridge works perfectly now. This thermostat is a perfect replacement fit. The only thing I would do different next time is to use my own shrink tubing since the ones provided with the thermostat are too rigid and do not shrink completely around the supplied crimp connectors, which could allow moisture into the connection. But I am happy with the product itself and especially the good price.

After going through a process of elimination to find the culprit that was causing my refrigerator problems, I came to the conclusion that I either needed a defrost thermostat or a defrost timer. I decided to purchase both from Amazon for less than $30 total even though I was 90% certain it was this item (defrost thermostat). Anyways, the installation was easy with the help of my refrigerator's parts diagram I found on the web.

I saved literally hundreds fixing my 5 year old Frigidaire myself and it should be good-to-go for at least another 5 more years! I'll keep it at 'medium' temperature instead of super cold and hopefully it will not die out so quickly this time around.
