Worked fine for the first couple of weeks. That is, until the nipple on the side where the power cord plugs in came unscrewed. Over the last couple of years, I've had several of these; different brands/designs. But most all have that nipple the power cord plugs into and that always seems to be the failure point. There will be a nut on the inside the nipple threads into and due to vibration, etc., it always seems to come loose. Until the Chinese manufacturers of these things figure out how to use lock washers, this is probably going to be the ongoing story. Doesn't matter what brand you get, if they have the nipple the power cord plugs into, that's what's going to happen. I haven't found one of these that was worth a whit since the one my wife got me from Avon a few years ago. That particular mug lasted about three years before it eventually burned out. Unfortunately they no longer seem to carry that item. Which I believe was either made here in the USA or in Europe. I don't remember, for sure. If some enterprising produced a quality product like this, right here in the USA (or, even China, for that matter) that didn't fall apart or burn out in the first few weeks, I think they'd sell a bunch of them.

I bought a pair of these for my husband (OTR driver). Unfortunately, the pair didn't even last 4 months. The heating elements just kept burning out. He loved the style of these, but they didn't hold up.

I just order this product and found out the analog temperature gauge just a symbol, no needle to display the current temperature. Hope the seller will return all money plus shipping.

This is a great mug. I use it almost everyday and get a lot of questions on where to get one. You plug it into your car or truck and keeps you beverage at a drinkable temperature. Does not get too hot like some of the other mugs I've tried. It has a thermometer to tell you what temperature your beverage is. Still haven't figured out why it is call cold mate should be hot mate.

I have had several heated travel mugs. Let's face it, none of these are top quality (less than $20), but this one is the best of the lot. It has lasted for two seasons so far (double that of any other mug I have had) and is still working well. It also heats coffee the warmest of all of them. In fact, its top temp. is too hot for me. It lacks a temperature control, so you have to turn it off when it reaches the desired temperature. But it reheats the rest of my coffee after my morning workout in pretty good time, and it's worth it. If it lasts another season, I'll add the 5th star.
