I really like this thermometer. It's accurate to within a half-degree as far as I can tell. I've checked it against two other mercury (bar) thermometers that are calibrated, and it's almost spot on. However, since we live in a two story house, temperatures vary by several degrees depending on the room we're in, the season, and the HVAC. I can't fault La Crosse for that. I'll give them a 5 for the thermometer AND design.

The humidity is a totally different story. The La Crosse's hygrometer is 5-15% off from the other two hygrometers we have, both of which read identically. Usually, I would make the analogy of the guy with one watch always knowing what time it is, while the guy with two watches is never sure. This time I'm sure. The hygrometer of the La Crosse is not that accurate which makes the "Comfort Level" read "Dry" all the time even though the humidity in the house is set at 55% and is fairly constant throughout the house.

So the "Comfort" scale is like the guy with his feet in the refrigerator and his head in the oven, and on average he's fairly comfortable.

This is a nice little temperature and humidity station. I have many La Crosse weather instruments and the readings seem to be in line with the more complex weather stations that I have.

I purchased this product about 2 weeks ago. I like the fact that it gives the temperature in 10th of a degree, such as 68.3. Its hard to know how accurate it is since i only have my digital wall thermostat to compare it to, but both seem to be about 1/2 degree apart.

I like the humidity reading. When the heat is on, the humidity reading in the room is in the low to mid 30's which tells me i need a humidifier in the winter months. The reason i purchased this was to get a temperature reading near the area where i sit which is about 5 feet from the wall thermostat. The numbers for both temperature & humidity are big enough to read in low lighting. I like the fact it only needs 1 aaa battery. The reviews for this unit were very good which led me to buy it.

It can be hung on a wall or it can stand on a flat surface. It can also give the temperature in celsius. Overall its a very good thermometer.

I purchased 3 of these, because I wanted three and to be able to compare them to each other. As expected, the temperature is on the money. The humidity is not accurate. All three when placed side by side are 1 or 2 % points away from each other, If you don't need or want accuracy but simply want a benchmark to guage the rise and fall of humidity, this will certainly work. Reasonable price, fast shipping.
