I was surprised how easy this was to install. You just label the existing wires and then match them to the new thermostat. The instructions walk you through everything.
While the touch screen isn't the greatest (resistive touch) it works and the menu/programming is pretty easy. I think the device just looks good on the wall and the smooth light dimming is a nice touch.
The energy saver button was very smart. It's easy to hit that as you are leaving the house.
Overall awesome thermostat, especially for the money. You can pick these up on eBay all day for 30 bucks.

works as advertised. Once programmed runs flawlessly. Highly recommend for baseboard heat, I imagine all applications are as easy to set up.

Once I figured which unit I had and where the colored wires connect, I must say it was pretty simple to install. I am no electrician or a/c repair man but so far so good. I was lucky enough to buy this product for 1 cent, you read this right, 1 cent at Home Depot! I took the last two and I must say that it's pretty easy to use if you read the instructions. Great product!

Once I figured out which circuit breaker was attached to my old unit it was smooth sailing. The instructions were great and very helpful. It included stickers to mark wires while removing the old unit which help me out quite a bit. It is nice to set the temp different throughout the day to save energy while I am at work or on vacation.

I bought my Filtrete 3m-30 at Home Depot and is the same listed here on Amazon.com. The thermostat has nice features for a budget thermostat. However, my thermostat does not keep very good time and losses about 10+ minutes ever 3-6 months. When you replace the batteries the low battery indicator light will only go away if you hit the reset button. Customer service seems to be OK. If you are looking for something cheap with good features this thermostat will satisfy you. My is a year old and is still functioning.
