I bought this A/C at Menards during our current heat wave in MN. It was for my daughter's room which only has 3 very small windows and is only about 80 sq ft. I was worried that 10,000 BTU's would freeze her out! So I hooked it up and ran it all evening and through the night. When I walked in this morning, it was slightly cooler than our hallway and less humid but it was still very hot in there! Way hotter than our bedroom which is about 150 sq ft and is cooled by a 8,000 BTU window unit. To be fair, it was over 100 yesterday with the heat index and maybe there isn't an air conditioner that will work in her odd room in this old house. That's why I gave it two stars. However this particular unit seems cheaply made and didn't cool even close to expected.
