We installed the thermostate for my elderly mom, who has poor sight. She still has a problem seeing the numbers on the dial, and the cool, heat or off switch should be made longer for a person with poor sight. The switch should protrude above the dial. I think my mom turns the dial instead of switching the switch, because she fumbles finding the switch located behind the face of the thermostat.
