Heater works well in a small or medium room. Heater is very safe and I don't mind the kids playing around same.

I just (unfortunately) bought this heater on ebay. Luckily I didn't pay a lot for it. The heater has trouble keeping the set temperature and there is NO factory warranty that comes with it. It's pretty bad when the manufacturer won't even put a warranty on their product. If you buy anything on ebay, check it out at AMAZON first to see how its rated. It might help you save some money.

Well, it can't keep a 14 by 24 room warm.

And it consumption of electricity is toooo high!

realize that all electric heaters put out a max of a little more than 5000 btu's per their 1500 watt rating. so do not be fooled into spending more on features to get nothing. it is good to have a thermostat for auto temperature control but beyond that money is wasted on remote controls and the like. up to 50 dollars for a fan forced or oil filled heater with thermostat is the sensible way to go.
