Comparing with three other digital thermometers in my home, the Venstar reports a temperature about 3 degrees lower than the rest. It needs calibration. The manual doesn't seem to include any option to do this.
Programming behavior is odd. I simply want to turn on at a select time then turn off at a later time. The manual refers to morning, midday, and evening programs. Huh? Does this mean I need to use the "morning" program to turn on and the "afternoon" program to turn off one hour later? Again, the manual could use more detail here. Perhaps some examples as well? Even on the Venstar website, I cannot locate any additional info.
It's good enough to forgo an inconvenient online return process, but I suspect there are better wireless thermostats out there.

This is a replacement for the same thermostat. It didn't work after being accidentally dropped in water. The only concern I have about this is the process to set the times/temperatures/days. Definitely not intuitive. Still, I'd buy it again if need be.
