I am using this fan in a small 12 volt refrigerator, in the freezer compartment. It is quiet, and keeps the interior temperatures very even, and allows a lesser setting on the thermostat to keep sub 40f temperatures.

A previous fan by Sunon that had twin ball bearings lasted 5 years in this use. It still works but got very loud.

This Fan was desirable for its very low amp consumption, among the lowest of any fan available, and the reported current consumption is accurate.

We are in the process of upgrading the thermostats for the electric heat in our house. The 20-year-old bimetallic thermostats have minimal utility--basically they seem to operate as on/off switches. Even when a temperature is set, +/10 degree (F) fluctuations are not uncommon. So, we want something a little more accurate as well as something that looks more contemporary. For most of the house, I have Aube or Honeywell digital thermostats. They are perfect--quiet, accurate, and reasonably attractive. I saw the Dimplex thermostat and thought I would try it. In the photos provided, it looks much more attractive than the digital thermostats by other vendors. It's also currently priced more than the digital thermostats--so, its selling point is really aesthetics. A couple points to note, however:

1) Make sure you get the right model. There's precious little description on the Amazon Web page, but there are two models depending on the Wattage requirements.

2) In the photos, it looks like the thermostat flush mounts to the wall. This for me was the real selling point: I can finally have a thermostat that's inconspicuous! As I installed it to my standard wall box, I quickly became convinced that there was no way to have a flush mount. Perhaps if the wall box was recessed into the wall and you could cut away the drywall around it, you might be able to get a flush effect. Instead, it sticks out from the wall (like every other thermostat), except the faceplate protrudes. This just looks silly. I have explored numerous ways to make this look better or to recess more of the unit into the wall, but I am convinced that this is not possible without a custom installation. Perhaps there is an optional decorative plate to go with it?

3) It's really loud when it clicks on or off. Louder than the old thermostats, and certainly lounder than the completely silent digital thermostats made by several vendors. The clicking could be quite distracting if put in a bedroom.

4) The plastic on the housing and especially the dial is very flimsy. The mechanism for turning on the thermostat entails pulling out the nob. The nob felt like it might actually break in the process. Similarly, the plastic is so thin on the faceplate that the LED status indicator actually lights up a good portion of the faceplate when there are no lights on in the room. It feels and looks cheap.

Bottom line: Save your money. At current Amazon pricing, you can buy nearly two nonprogrammable digital thermostats for the same price. I suspect they will ultimately look better and hold up better than this product.

Plus: Works with radiant and fan based heat. Electronic and therefore more accurate than bimetallic thermostats.

Cons: Poor fit to wall. Loud! Cheap materials.

Bi-metallic thermostats are a thing of the past. Our old thermostats wasted energy since they needed +-15 degrees variance to turn on or turn off. These thermostats are great replacements for your old bimetallic sets. They don't ground to the frame like the old ones which seemed weird, but they have nice long leads red and black. I have them running large cadet fan/element heaters in the walls. When the unit turns on, a nice subtle blue LED lights up just above the dial. Pull the dial out and the unit is active. Push the dial in and the unit is inactive. My wife is happy that I installed the Celsius rings instead of F. We set them to 22 degrees as a back up if the fireplace would run out of wood. Every degree clicks into place for exact temperature and I it's accuracy with a room thermometer. It was off only 1 degree. Fits into a standard box, but you will want to insulate the box since the unit will allow you to see into the box through the main panel. They really kick butt! Remember, these are 16a max. I guess that's why they can use only two wires for a single pole. Very nice product. Simple and accurate. Replaced three of them, box to trash, in under 30 minutes with a Phillips head screwdriver. Awesome!

It's small, doesn't raise our electric bill much, and heats out big living room all by itself, and quickly. I've always preferred space heaters to whole-house heaters and nearly always buy one every season -never the same kind. If this one ever breaks down, I'll get another of the same kind. One of the most impressive things about it is the "low" setting. It goes low enough that I can put it right next to my feet and it warms without overheating my skin and making it itch. My cat also can comfortably sleep with it inches from his face without problems. I absolutely love this heater. (Below is my original review.)

Here in southern California, we don't need heavy duty heaters. In fact, I virtually never use the whole-house heater because I prefer, even in winter, to have a cold face and warm feet. I've been using little space heaters like this for at least 20 years.

We have a 13X20 foot living room and I set this Bionaire heater up in the usual place: beneath the edge of a very large double-decker glass coffee table. This way, my feet get hit, my husband, sitting kitty-cornered from me in his Laz-E-Boy gets a nice blast, and the table warms, which is an absolute necessity according to our cats. Some heaters accomplish only these requirements, but the Bionaire also easily heats the entire room, and quickly. The oddly rotating grill definitely amps things up, too. It's perfect for our needs.

Finally, and most importantly in our multi-cat household, if the heater tips over, it turns off. Last year I bought a heater for $60 -the Bionaire is only $35 -and it didn't have a safety shut off. (I hadn't even thought to check -I assumed it had one because of the price, and you know what happens when you assume...) Because of this, I couldn't leave the heater on for the cats as I normally do on the coldest nights. This year, our cats will be much happier. Recommended!

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I'm always scouting for a better space heater for our guest bedroom/sewing room. It's the "bonus room," the large room above the garage, and is very chilly during the winter.

I have been using the original little ceramic heater made by Pelonis, Pelonis B-6A1, Classic 4 Disc Ceramic Safety Furnace, Brown. The Bionaire is about 1/3 larger than the Pelois and is about half the price. The Bionaire threw lots of heat, enough to warm up the room in short order. The rotating grill did disburse the heat more evenly and seemed to spread the warmth quicker than the Pelonis. Nevertheless, the ceramic disc design of the Pelonis is probably still the gold standard for space heaters.

My Bionaire was missing the owner's manual. There was no documentation of any kind in the box just the heater. However, the operation is fairly straightforward and self-evident. Some instructions are printed on the side of the box.

The Bionaire has an automatic cutoff, so, of course, I tried it. Upon tipping over the heater, the cutoff switch activated. I tried to restart it and, nothing! Then, I read on the side of the box that you must wait 30 minutes for the heater to cool down before restarting. Probably, a good safety feature.

The cord of the Bionaire is long enough that you don't need an extension. Space heaters are not supposed to be used with extension cords. A nifty little feature is a cord storage area on the bottom of the heater. Neatness counts.

This is only the second product I've bothered to review, despite purchasing on average over two products per week on Amazon. I do, however, appreciate all those who do write reviews and wish I had the energy to pitch in. BUT this product is so wonderful, I just had to write. It gives off plenty of heat to raise the temperture in my bedroom, which is approximately 20+' by 20+' and has a little alcove, which I use as a study EVEN WITH THE BEDROOM DOOR OPEN as it is now.

I have a thermostat in the room and this little space heater can raise the temperature from 64 to 70 degrees and keep it there. It does not have an odor that is annoying and most important, it does not get hot to the touch ANYWHERE and is quite simple to operate. Some reviews say their unit failed in 3 or so months (or even in a shorter time). Well, all companies produce a lemon or two. I've only had this product about 3 weeks and mine's fine. But even if it fails in a month or so, I'd buy another next year. At this price, for this performance, it's worth it.

Believe me when I tell you I have several different makes and types of heaters . This one holds it own with the best of them. It has a pleasing shape and two heat settings. You can also turn off the grill rotation. I also like the tip over overheat safty feature.I put it on high and it warmed an open 12 x 13 ft room with 9 ft ceilings. The only thing that took getting used to was the way the grill rotates. It slowly goes around instead of from side to side. It works just as well as my tower heater and as an added bonus the rotation of the grill mesmerizes my dog. Give this one a try I'm sure you will like it.

I put it in the adjoining bathroom (they have a jack and jill bath with separate sinks) and it heats the room up nicely for when they get out of the tub (and start screaming at the top of their lungs how cold they are) and makes the drying experience much more pleasant for all of us. I recently tried it on our sunroom after a rug got wet and we wanted to speed up the drying. That was a much larger room (14x14) and it was not nearly as effective. Still, it did warm the room some.

It is very quiet and overall it works very well. For smaller (11x11 or smaller?) rooms it is very effective and seems very safe. No hot, glowing wires or anything like that. It is very "plastic" and doesn't look engineered to handle a beating, but it works well and I would recommend it for anyone looking to improve the heating in a room, or counter-effect a draft or for our use, of heating a small bathroom area it is great!

This vacuum began to short out on me after just two weeks of usage. Now, I can't run it for more than 5 minutes at a time without it over-heating and shutting off on me. It takes AT LEAST a half hour before it will turn back on again. Not very conducive to a productive cleaning session!

An interesting note: The vacuum I had prior to this one was another Shark brand, but a different model. THAT vacuum lasted all of perhaps not quite one whole year before it began to lose suction.... and shortly thereafter, it completely died.

Do yourself a favor and avoid this vacuum at all costs! Find the money for a really good Hoover Wind Tunnel or an Oreck! These cheap vacuums or maybe it's just this Shark brand(???) are not worth the money.

We bought this for doing our hardwood, tile & vinyl floors, and have been nicely surprised! It's inexpensively priced, and does a great job. The turbo brush works well on furniture; it's light enough to lug up and down the stairs.

This vacuum is like a super DustBuster, all grown up. It's lightweight, but more powerful than a DustBuster style, plus it has a HEPA filter and is easy to empty. But, other reviewers are right -no good on carpets. Carpets really need an upright vacuum with a beater brush.

Now I have TWO vacuums. For years, I had a canister vac with an attachable beater brush, but I got tired of hauling it around. (If you have a canister, you know what I mean.) It was flexible, being good for both bare floor and carpet, but every time I switched floors, I needed to take on & off the beater brush. So I'd do all the bare floors, then add the attachment and do the carpets. I really like my current arrangement: this Euro-Pro Shark for bare floors, and an upright for carpets, both lightweight. I just haul out whatever I need, and there's no need for an equipment change.

We enrolled in the "Shark Free Filter For Life" Program but haven't received a filter in over a year (the program stipulates one every 6 months). When I called the toll-free number, the agent was unfriendly and unknowledgeable. She never apologized once about the missing filters. When I asked what had happened, all she was willing to give me was that I didn't receive the filters because of "some technical problem." I would NOT get another Shark vacuum for this reason.

1. I paid Seneca River Trading for expedited shipping and it went USPS Priority Mail from NY 13027 to TN 37923. It took 10 days for delivery but even UPS ground would have gotten it to my door in 3 days.

2. Seneca River Trading put the product in a padded USPS flat rate envelope instead of a USPS flat rate box plus some bubble wrap. The thermal cutoff had a bent prong and the thermostat had something that looks like a pop rivet that had busted. Both items appear to work OK but the packaging allowed minor damage and only luck prevented them from being damaged enough that I'd have to pursue another replacement part.

3. The screws in the kit don't thread into the holes on the dryer. Not a big deal as I had plenty of computer screws from PC builds lying around that did fit just fine. But for someone with less spare parts laying around this could have been an issue as the provided screws wouldn't turn more than once until the thread was in a bind and the thermostat was still wobbling around.

4. I've edited this review 3 times now. Amazon doesn't want me to link to the youtube video that gives instructions for modifying the wiring to use the new part since the old part is wired differently. Please note that the instructions provided with the kit are not clear. Google the part # and watch the video on youtube since I can't link to it from here. With the tools I had stripping the wires and crimping the new leads was a hassle I wouldn't wish on anyone with poor coordination or poor tools. If you are not the Do It Yourself type you'll want a friend to do the wiring work for you or you'll want to pay someone to do it. The orange wire barely had an inch of slack and a mistake replacing the end on that wire could complicate the repair.

On the whole I got the parts for about half price vs the closest appliance store that had the part in stock but I did without my dryer for two weeks and had to haul laundry to the laundromat during that time and spent more time than I'm happy to admit tracking the package and checking the mail every day.

Amazon Prime has me spoiled for things showing up in 1 or 2 days from time of order and USPS tracking and delivery speed on this were sub par.

I held onto this review until I caught up on my backlog of laundry and I'd given it a week or two to stop working. The dryer still works so I'll give this 3 stars. If it had arrived undamaged and in less than 5 days time like I expected I would have given 4 stars.

The high limit thermistor is not an oem equivalent as it indicates. The temp for the switch is lower than the OEM and will not function. Double check the temperature marked on your oem thermistor before installing this one. I found this out only after the repair man came out and discovered that it was the wrong part.

This part works like a charm! The instructions seemed a little cryptic I felt I was going to break something, but then finally got it . . . it seems the dryer is designed to fit this part (has the outline and screw holes for it) but the original installed part sits at a different angle and is secured by a tab, not screws, adding to my confusion.

I had tested the thermal cutoff and ascertained that was the problem. The kit also includes a thermostat and all instructions (included, on Amazon and the Web) recommended replacing both. They were right! I did a test BEFORE replacing the thermostat and the dryer definitely ran too hot probably what caused the thermal fuse to blow in the first place!

I was very pleased with the delivery time it only took a couple of days, even via USPS. I am now a hero in my wife's eyes!

I bought it to replace my programmable Honeywell (older model). Installation was a breeze, set-up quite easy if you have documentation handy. Recirculation feature is the thing that made me buy this model and I'm delighted to say that it works. Temperature throughout the house is more even than before, and in wintertime having some air circulation is a nice thing too.

I have had it for almost 2 months and am quite satisfied with my purchase.

I did a lot of research before picked this one up. At $55, this one has all the advanced settings that only available on the Profession version of some other name brands. Other than being accessed remotely (WIFI or wired network), it has all the functions one will ever need. Of course I picked this model because I don't want the network feature.

It took me about 15 min to install. I use battery since I don't have the wire installed to provide the power to the unit. It turns on and off precisely at the temperatures I set. It also provides restart time delay and restart temp range setting to protect the AC/Heating equipment and for energy saving. The LCD is well lit. It is crystal clear reading from top down, but not from lower angle up. I want to believe the viewing angle is a design feature since a Thermostat is usually installed below the eye level of an adult. The kids might be less encouraged to mess with it, since they can't see anything looking up or at the eye level. Buttons are responsive. I don't find the setting is any hard to navigate at all.

The only thing I can't find is the battery level indicator and filter change alert on LCD which the manual stated it has.

I have not used any support, so no comments there.

I will buy again to replace the rest of the thermostats in my house if this one proves to be reliable and long lasting.

UPDATE (10/28/20012):

Works well. Love it! Replaced two more with the same model in my house.

This thermostat (Aprilaire 840 series) was installed with a new furnace.... and initally worked fine, but as fall began, we felt unaccountably cold... the mystery was solved when the furnace guy figured out that the thermostat was turning on the air conditioner even though it was set for heat.... this is the second one of this brand that failed him... he isn't using them any more... neither would we.

Started out by replacing a toilet and ended up with a new floor and a new heater. And other things. The Nautilus was a good style and fit for what I was dealing with. It is quiet and provides more than enough heat for any bathroom. The thermostat works properly and the style is unobstrusive.

It is easy to access the wiring and to take out the innards so that you have access to mount the box in different ways (not all installations are new construction as you may know!). This also makes it easy to service it and I was happy that it came with a parts diagram, always a good sign.

I found it to be a good and thoughtful design for a decent price. It is recommended.

It fit the existing opening within a sixteenth of an inch.

Bought this for a homemade styrofoam cooler egg incubator, in which the temps prior to installation swung from 85-112 using only a lightbulb and no fan. (Still miraculously got a couple chicks to hatch!) Installed this baby (plus a CPU fan) after reading mixed reviews on it's comparison to a wafer thermo and am thrilled! My eggs are now comfortably incubating with no more than a 2 degree swing! Hooray! Hopefully it stays this way with time..we shall see..

I made my own incubator using a water heater thermostat. The temperature range was too varied. I had some chicks hatch but most didn't. If I were to venture a guess it was probably about 25%. Some chicks got stuck to the egg membrane and despite my best efforts died. These were usually my Jersey Giants. With the new thermostat I probably get about a 75% hatch rate now and I've had far more Jersey Giants hatch than I did previously.

I have had my Yogourmet for about 15 years now, and it still makes great yogurt. I bought an extra container so I can make a fresh batch while the other is still in the fridge. This item is an incubator that keeps the milk at the optimum temperature to produce the yogurt. Any problems with the finished yogurt are due to failures in the other steps of the process.

The big advantage of this yogurt maker is that it makes one large (2-qt.) batch of yogurt at a time. You don't need to fiddle with small, difficult-to-clean glass jars. I used to use the special Yogourmet starter, but recently I've been able to save money and make wonderful yogurt by buying 8-ounce cups of high-grade yogurt with live cultures to use as starter. I make my yogurt with powdered milk and a can of evaporated milk, and it's absolutely yummy, even when it's eaten just plain.

We purchased this product four years ago, and we can not tell you how much we have used this product! It is now like second nature to simply make a batch of yogurt every Sunday evening. The homemade yogurt is so flavorful, and we simply use a small store bought plain yogurt to use as the starter (this saves us money as the packaged freeze dried starters can be pricey). We would also recommend that you buy the strainer at the same time if you enjoy greek yogurt. This attachment makes the straining process so much easier than using cheese cloth. Plus, you double your health benefits by making it into greek yogurt--more protein per serving!

We have recommended this brand to several of our freinds and family members and they all agree that it is a GREAT purchase! In addition, we priced this out on various sites and at various stores and found Amazon to have the best price (no, we don't work for Amazon).

From what I understand this is false there is NO THERMOSTAT with this product. Amazon or the company needs to correct this error as it is misleading. Please note I have not used this product, just contemplating buying it. So I have no personal knowledge how good the product is, that's why a 1 rating for now since the description is inaccurate.

I wish someone, besides the Japanese, would make a yogurt maker that has a digital thermostat so one can ensure yogurt is incubating at proper temps.

Just finished putting it together and giving her a test run. Good to great quality. Looks great, easy assembly. They say "glass remains cool to the touch" which is 100% accurate and why we purchased for our living room thinking we wouldn't have to worry about our 14 month old burning himself. HOWEVER, what they don't tell you (until you get it and see the big warning sticker) is that the grid directly above the glass and exposed to everyone gets VERY VERY HOT. NOT good for kids or even animals. That being said, we really like it and still think it is a great value.

This was my 1st time ordering thru Amazon and my experience was rewarding. I was a little worried about ordering something on line without actually seeing it, pictures don't always give the proper representation of the product that is displayed. With that said, I am very pleased with the Electric fireplace that I recieved, it came in two boxes (one being the wooden console and the other the fireplace insert)and the UPS agent brought right into the house for me.

Now a couple of hints that will make the assembly easier: When you open the box, have a vacumm cleaner near by to remove the styrofoam from the items, due to static, the styrofoam is difficult to remove from the wood, but the vacumm will make cleanup easier as you remove from the packing. Inventory your parts and check off the paper as you locate them and then spread them out for easy recognition. Before you start assembling, spread a blanket on the floor to eliminate potential scratching, then follow the step by step instructions and take your time. Took approx 2.5 hours to assemble, this included removing stickers after the items were assembled (leave stickers on until assembled), the cam locks require a #2 phillips screwdriver, but I suggest using a #2 flat screwdriver to get the cams tight, then go back with the phillips to break the edges of the slots, this will allow the cover caps to be inserted into the cam. I utilized the corner shelf on the back of the console, so it would fit in the corner of the room and it is mounted on hinges, so if you want to eventually put it on a wall the shelf will just fold down.

The heater insert comes with a remote control that allows you to adjust the lights in the logs and also adjust the intensity of the flames. The remote will also turn the heat on / off as you need, there is a temperture switch located in a hidden panel that will allow you to set the heat and will shut off automatically once the temperture is reached. Very pleased with the realistic look of the logs / flame and also the adjustable shelfs that are located on each side of the console behind glass doors.

Downside: The media shelf is only 13" deep, did not allow my cable box to fully sit on the shelf without overhanging in the front, but by eliminating the back plate on the console, this was easily rectified.

Overall for the money, this was a great addition to my living room and the 55"flat screen looks great sitting on top.

This corner unit fireplace takes some time to put together. I would say at least 1 hour. The firebox had an issue when first plugged in, the heater blower sounded like a sneaker in dryer (clunk, clunk). We took off the back panel and discovered that through shipping a metal plate had fallen onto a rotating piece. We pushed it back into place and the unit is working just fine. It looks real nice holding a flat screen tv and the cable components and dvd player fit perfectly. Yes, I would recommend it.

This is a nicely designed console. It fits perfectly in the corner where I installed it and it looks good. But there are some

negative issues as well. The console arrives complely unassembled. Mine arrived with some damage. I contaced customer service and they were helpful but I decided to repair the damage myself rather than to pack it all up again and return it.

Assembly is not all that easy. A number of the pre-drilled holes were way to small to hand screw into unless you are a professional body builder. So I had to re-drill many of the screw holes. The assembly instructions are pretty good but the print is very small and difficult to read.

The burner unit arrives seperately. The manual specifies / suggests a dedicated electrical circuit, so for safety's sake I installed a new circuit. I already had a proper breaker, room in my panel, wire and outlet box. so it didn't cost me anything but time. If you can't do this yourself it might add a couple hunderd dollars to your costs to hire an electrician and to buy the necessary components.

I'm fairly handy and this not my first rodeo but it took me about 5 hours to complete this project. One more thing, the packing material flaked apart and made a big mess that was unavoidable no matter how carefull I was to not make a mess.

In spite of the experience being an overall P.I.T.A. the end result is a nice looking and relatively inexpensive corner electric fireplace / tv stand.

I love the fireplace but did have a problem with the remote. I called the company that made it (southern enterprises)

They would not even discuss it with me. They told me they were sorry they could not help (all they said) amazon

was wonderful they tried everything to help even calling southern enterprises to try to find a solution. Amazon was told the same thing. My advice don't buy anything this company makes. Amazon was great. I will buy from them again.

Very nice unit. Works like a charm. Low battery indicator. Easy and quick to install. Replaced an analog unit. Great warranty. Operates my a/c and heater. Button on top to light the display. The fan will run 20-30 seconds after shut off which is great. If you want a programmable one get the Venstar t5800. It would be nice if it had backlit buttons and a low-med-hi fan switch like the programmables but at this price it`s worth it.

I can't really say much about this item because I only replaced my original working part based on the recommendation that this part, along with a few others, should be replaced when your dryer stops working properly. My original part was still testing good with a multimeter but I replaced it anyway and tucked it away as a spare part. This new thermostat worked as advertised and is still holding up fine after 7 months.
