I can't really say much about this item because I only replaced my original working part based on the recommendation that this part, along with a few others, should be replaced when your dryer stops working properly. My original part was still testing good with a multimeter but I replaced it anyway and tucked it away as a spare part. This new thermostat worked as advertised and is still holding up fine after 7 months.

I bought these in an attempt to save $180 repair bill. It took the better part of a day to take the dryer apart and put it back together but it was well worth it
