Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program We've "suffered" with a Black and Decker iron for a few years. While it worked it just wasn't doing a great job and for the longest time, we didn't want to invest in a new iron if it wasn't broken. Well, it finally broke so we tried the Rowenta DW4060 and, wow, it is like night and day.
The iron is a joy to use. Not only does it heat up quickly, it also steams very well. I can actually iron without starch with this iron. The narrow tip is excellent for getting around buttons and tight areas. There are a lot of settings but we mainly use it on the higher settings and it has done a great job each time. Auto Shutoff works as normal and iron is rather lightweight.
This Iron has been excellent and I've not picked up a can of starch since having it. I can highly recommend this iron.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program This Rowenta has a lot going for it and is a lot better in many ways than my old Panasonic iron. This iron is probably 20 percent lighter, which makes ironing noticeably less tiring and labor intensive. I think this is because the smooth silver plate is thinner. Despite the lighter weight, I find with the help of the steam function, I don't need to press hard to get the wrinkles out.The steam feature on this iron is really effective. There are more holes and the steam comes out in nice big clouds and easily blasts out the wrinkles. However as a result, I find it goes through water about twice as fast as my old iron, but that is because it is actually steaming like it should. I always use distilled water to prevent buildup. I can probably iron 4 pair of pants on high steam before having to refill the tank.
Most of what I iron are cotton items like chinos and t-shirts. I simply set it to cotton and it heats up very fast and works like a charm. The nose plate is pointy which is an added bonus for getting into creases and other tough to reach spots. I like this iron very much and would recommend.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program This iron replaces the Black & Decker D2030 Digital Advantage we were very happy with. But that iron has seen use and now the spray nozzle is clogged. Just the excuse to get a new iron. So how does this one compare to that highly rated iron? Here are pros and cons:Pros:
* Precision tip works really to get into the corners.
* Cord stays out of the way nicely.
* Does a good getting the wrinkles out.
* Delivers a good amount of steam.
* Digital light telling you when the iron is hot enough.
* Electronic shut-off.
* Vertical steam function (probably not going to replace a dedicated steam machine if you need one, but nice to have in a pinch).
* Scratch resistant, stainless steel hot plate.
Cons:
* Steam is non-adjustable. Steam adjustment is not independently set from temperature. That was a nice a feature on the B&D.
* Light does not tell you when it is done going from a hot temp to a cooler one.
* Does not include a water pitcher to aid filling it. (A minor gripe but it's a nice to have.)
Debatable:
* Digital temp setting (Black & Decker) versus dial setting (Rowenta).
* Does not beep letting you know it is hot. Maybe you're used to this and are looking for this feature.
Summary:
This is a very nice iron that gets the core of what an iron should be good at right it does a great job getting the wrinkles out and includes some nice features to help in that area. Where it stumbles slightly is in not including some nice ease-of-use features that cheaper irons like the Black & Decker include.
Honest reviews on Rowenta DW4060 Auto Steam Iron 1700W with Airglide Stainless Steel
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program My old iron is 7 years old and was one of the best irons I have ever owned, but it was time to be replaced...and I selected this one. I was skeptical because it did not have a teflon-coated face so I was scared that it would scorch or melt if too hot. I have had no issues with it. It heats up fast and has worked as expected. I iron every morning and whether it is cotton shirts, wool slacks or silk tiesI have had no problems. The iron is slightly heavier than my previous iron, but is balanced so that you do not feel like you are constantly fighting it.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Rowenta DW4060 Auto Steam Iron 1700W with Airglide Stainless Steel
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I think I might be lucky. I don't know why other reviewers had issues with this iron, but as long as you start ironing after it becomes hot, there is no issue with the steam. It is heavy, non stick, does the steam well, and overall a very good iron.My only complaint is that the cable management could have been better, i.e.: many high quality irons have a "trench" that you can roll the cable around, but that's only a minor issue.
A decent steam iron with awesome steam is perfect for ironing. Not only are they lightweight to hold and easy to use, but they also can make ironing faster. Everyone have to use this kind of iron. Read More.
