On the plus side, the unit is attractive, keeps things quite cold, and is not very loud although I'm not sure I'd want it in my study. I have three problems with the unit. The first is that the packaging is terrible. Even though there was no evidence on the box of any trauma, the door of my unit was dislodged due to the upper hinge being displaced. It fortunately came back into line with a few taps using a light hammer. The cause of the dislocation is that the bottom of the shipping package lacks rigidity. In fact the whole thing lacks packing protection, being shielded by a miniscule amount of thin, low density styrofoam. It's been a long time since I saw a new product packaged this poorly. I consider myself lucky that the unit arrived in as good a shape as it did. Second, the exterior is painted with a matte black paint that is neither smooth nor easy to clean. Third, the front door sweats like crazy in a non air conditioned environment. The condensate then drips from the door onto the underlying surface. I have this in my garage. I've not yet figured out what I want to do with this item, but I'm not totally happy with my purchase.

Item shipped and recieved on time. Item functions well and look forward to many years of ownership. Previuosly owned an Avanti and owned over 20 years. It went to (2) colleges with my kids and spent many years in the Man-Cave.

keeps everything extra cold (much better than previous black & decker crap)
cons:
makes a "click" sound when it kicks on (not loud enough to annoy me yet ;)
the bottom isn't full space

Purchased this for a trade show exhibit client. Water storage only. Love the size. Turned to its coolest setting it is not very cool. But okay for the situation.
