Have now used blanket for several weeks and found that it performs well. Called manufacturer and was told that the internal wiring of their various models of electric blankets are the same. The difference is the control and covering. Microplush is said to be and appears to be a durable covering. The controller is simple on this particular model and the reason for the low price compared to other models from Sunbeam. The controller does not have a pre-heat feature. Warranty is 5 years so having the old rotary mechanical type controller is no problem for me give the considerable amount of money saved.

DO NOT BUY THIS. I bought one for my mother for Christmas. The deep red colored blanket shed like crazy and damaged her existing sheets. She said it was such a hassle. Now I am returning it and not only do I have to pay for shipping but for a 15% restocking fee. So not worth it. Buy a different blanket and definitely do not buy from DealYard.com.

Very soft blanket but could be a lot thicker. Its really thin fabric but it does work well. They don't make things the way they used to.

I was very disappointed in this blanket, first of all it is extremely heavy, and it has no control for off while it is plugged into the

outlet. The wires can be felt through the blanket. I am sorry I purchased it.

When we recieved it it would not heat and at first we thought we just wanted it repaired but then decided against it. Have been dealing with too many people "DealYard" says they have to have the blanket, the mailback form came from Jarden and I bought it thru the Amazon website. I want a refund. I already mailed the blanket to Jarden.
