I was disappointed in the fact that all the internal pieces were made of aluminum. It claims that the pot is stainless steel, but it is not 100 percent. Even the inside of the pot itself seemed to have a coating that was material other than stainless steel.

To be transparent we bought this product to heat water for tea and other hot beverages for extended periods of time during our retreats.
It worked really well but was a little noisy while it "percolated" getting the water hot.
I am very satisfied with the product but cannot speak to it's ability to make coffee as we will not be using it for that purpose.

The urn itself is just what I expected. Unfortunately, it arrived with a broken handle. The good news is, it is possible to order a replacement handle. I am very satisfied with this product and like the fact that it is stainless steel instead of aluminum. It is sturdy.

This coffeemaker is probably used commercially as it doesn't provide any instructions for the best type of ground coffee to use or if you need to use a filter and if so what size. Simple instructions would have helped prevent a big problem during a party when the grounds were too small and plugged up the maker resulting in a big mess. The last thing a host needs in the middle of a party of 85 people.
