For the price, you'd think it would work properly. The device I have has a problem in the Cool-OFF-heat switch. I have a terrible time tweaking the switch between "off" and "heat"; for some reason the fan starts working continuously and no heat is coming out. I need to nudge the switch just a tiny bit between off an heat to get the heat to finally come out.

The beauty of this thermostat is that you can set the temperature differential from 1-3 degrees. Most thermostats kick on when the room temp changes one degree the one we had did this, and my a/c was running every 5 minutes. I could not find any t-stats that had a variable temp differential at Home Depot or Sears, so I ordered this one. I could not be more happy. It is absolutely perfect, and now my a/c kicks on only 2wice per hour!

I ordered this thermostat to replace an old Maple Chase thermostat that we have had for years. I was excited when I saw the photo because it is identical to the one we have, except for the logo. When I opened the package, it looked nothing like the one in the photo. It is much more difficult to program and use than my old thermostat. When I contacted customer service, I was told that they were aware of the situation and they will give me a full refund.

I wanted a thermostat with an adjustable temperature start. This one does it. The a/c guy installed a good thermostat but when the temperature dropped by one degree that machine kicked on. I want two or three degree variation before the machine would start. Sometimes that save a few pennies each month.

This product failed after 1 week. The thermostat ran the temperature up over ten degrees above the point where it was supposed to turn off. I had to turn the

furnace off via the emergency switch. This continued for at least 2 hours of testing. Imagine if no one was home! Also the battery contacts are cheaper than

my granddaughters five dollar toy.
