I recently purchased this item in "Coastal Dune" color for my Grandfather and couldn't help but pick up another one for myself. I was not disappointed! As usual, DealYard offered amazing customer service and the product arrived flawless. I have no idea how they offer their prices so low, but it is not at the expense of quality.Best Deals on Sunbeam Heated Red Plaid Throw Blanket Warm Electric
Electric Blankets have NOT come a long way since their inception. That's OK though because what they do, they do well! This blanket is the exception though: The material is VERY soft!
I bought this for my son as a Christmas present. You can imagine the look on his face when he said "Blanket? Ug..." and tossed it aside for the good stuff. When he realized it was an electric blanket though, that changed things.
Now he goes to bed when it gets cold in the house. I love this thing! A secret to other parents: If you want to get your kids to bed, spend $30 on this blanket then turn the heat down to 60 around 7pm...by 8-9pm, watch what happens. he he he...
ANYHOW...
PROS
Light...Easy to blend with other blankets and not feel too heavy
Warm...not too hot. It works well. Child loves it and cannot get hurt by it.
Quality: The stitching is very nice and the electronics are sturdy but not heavy. Washing it will not hurt it.
Cheap! For the money, it's a great product.
Saves money! Turn off your thermostat and use this. It's very, very efficient.
CONS
None...this is why it gets my coveted 5-star review
I will say: Pay attention to the product description. Dimensions: 50" x 60" This is very small. It is not intended to be the ONLY blanket on your bed, folks. Use it with other blankets. For best use, I recommend a thin sheet/blanket for layer 1, then this blanket for layer 2 then a throw or feather top to top it off. That will keep you warm and let you turn the heat down!
Did I mention it was soft? I wish I had this in the early 1980's. My Electric blanket back then was made out of sandpaper, I swear!
