My boyfriend and I live in a basement apartment so we don't have a stove. I bought this brand because I bought him a different brand for christmas, after 3 months, the left burner stopped working. We decided to get a new hot plate that was a different brand. When we received this item, I used it the next day, it warms up so fast, the only issue I have is that it doesn't boil water well, other than that I recommend this product.
