So far it has worked to our satisfaction. The one that came with the new trailer went out unexpectedly on a trip, fortunately we were only 1 day from returning home. Certainly a DIY job, but you also need to have, or order a water heater tool(Camco 9883 Element Wrench)to remove the element from the water heater, which is also available at Amazon. Without it you will have a very difficult time getting it out and then screwing it back in.

This element is easy to screw into your old element's bung, requires a large socket that most people do not own. the socket can be "borrowed" from most Auto part stores. It is a "shorty" element, not very long but works nicely. That is why I only gave it 4 stars.

Not getting the hot water I have had in past. Tank is clean and it may not be fault of this element. I am thinking maybe thermostat not working properly.

This was a replacement element for my RV. Very reasonable price and a good quality product. We used this for the whole winter in Montana and never had any problem. If you need a new heating element for your RV this is the way to go.

Installed it but haven't used it a lot. The proof is in the pudding, and if it lasts longer than the original, I will be pleased.
