I picked this part up because my house was hit by lightning. I looked at this part on my kenmore stove, and it looked burnt in spots. So I figured that's why my oven was not working. Replaced with this thermostat, and it fixed the problem.

Just what we needed to fix our oven and not pay for a whole new oven. Our oven was not heating and cooking the foods all the way. The temperature for the oven was not going as high as it should have been. We replaced the old thermostat and now our oven works great!

I bought this part to replace the thermostat on my GE XL44 oven. However, the part shipped DOES NOT match the image for this product.

The item I received had the control knob in the *center*, rather than on the top of the switch, meaning it doesn't actually fit or line up in the oven properly.

With some tin snips and a bit of ingenuity I was able to get it wedged in there and functioning, but I wanted to warn other buyers before they make the same mistake.

Of course, the packaging states that once opened, the item can't be returned.
