I used this wall humidistat to control a Fridigaire Dehumidifier in the basement, as the control in the dehumidifier had very little hysteresis and thus kept switching on and of every minute or so. This short cycling of the compressor in the dehumidifier would severely shorten its life. The Honeywell humidistat has a hysteresis of + and 3 percentage points so the the basement cycles between 47% and 53% humidity. The dehumidifier is on for approx 1/2 hr and off for several hours. While this is a more expensive way to control a dehumidifier if it saves the compressor it will be worth it.

The Honeywell switch was easy to install and the documentation was clear and easy to read.

The dehumidistat on my 4 year old Frigidaire dehumidifier quit. The part is unavailable. Instead of replacing the dehumidifier, I bought this, installed in in series with an outlet, and use it to control the dehumidifier with the dehumidifier set on "continuous" mode.

I've bought a number of house thermostats over the years, and have decided that I'll only buy Honeywell. They just work, and when they don't, their phone support people know what they're talking about, and they speak English. This was my first dehumidistat (how many does one person need?), but I couldn't be happier. It keeps my basement dry.

bought the dehumidistat and set it up to run Radon fan in baselment to accomplish two purposes: eliminate excess humidity as well as any potential radon that may be hanging around. Installation was easy and the unit worked perfectly for several monmths and then I had to crank it below 20% RH to maintain 45% level.

I bought this to control a basement dehumidifier. I mounted it in an electrical box with a receptacle and plug my dehumidifier into it. It seems to work well. Turning the knob all the way CCW is OFF and all the way CW is ON with markings from 80 to 20 in between. I have mine set at about 52, which seems to keep the humidity in my basement around 60 percent. I would say the markings are approximate so it's best to have a separate inexpensive humidity monitor so you know the humidity level is where you want it. I used a 2 gang electrical box but a 3 gang would have been a better fit as this device is much wider than a switch or receptacle so I had to trim the cover to make everything fit. This would have been avoided with the wider box.

I purchased this turkey fryer kit with home brewing on the mind. I am a novice home brewer and this kit allowed for me and the fellow members of the Rat Bastard Brew Club to venture outdoors to brew beer, instead of in the cramped kitchen. This product allowed us to do a full five gallon boil, which provides you with a better product than a 3 gallon partial boil on the stove. This is a nice set and worth every penny, but the same manufacturer, Bayou Classic, offers another set here, same fryer but more accessories like a basket and fry pot (for seafood boils and such) included for only another $10. Check it out before you spend more buying this one plus the extras if you'll use them like we do :)

I did a lot of research and if you follow directions , it is safe and fun.

It takes about 25 min to heat the oil and 45 minutes to cook an 11 lb. turkey. The pot has a maximum oil level mark and that was the correct amount for our bird. The turkey must be dried well to prevent spattering. Watch the oil temp. so it does not go over 350. Do it outdoors as the paint has to burn off the burners and it smells.

As another poster mentioned, the paint doesn't last past the first use of this product. What he didn't go into, however, is that this paint is apparently flammable. On my second use of the burner I had the gas flowing at about 90%, left to go inside to grab something to drink, came back outside and the entire unit was in flames. If you are going to buy this burner, make sure you keep a very very VERY close eye on it until the paint burns (not melts, burns) off. I'd even advise trying to scrape the paint off as a precautionary measure.

Other than that, the pot and accessories served their purposes well. Just wish that if the paint was going to burn off from the get-go that they'd just sent one without any paint on it at all.

I haven't fried a turkey in this (yet!) but I did use it for brewing beer I needed a big pot and a hefty outdoor burner to bring 6 gallons of beer to a boil. This brought it to a boil in about 20 minutes, when my stovetop (if it could even have done it at all) would take hours. This would've gotten five stars except for two things: the pot itself is a bit flimsy (though I don't much care if it has some small dents, as long as it holds water) and the paint on the burner burns off the first time you use it it smells terrible, but doesn't really affect anything else. I've used it again since the first time, and there was no more terrible smell, so it's just a one-time thing. Seems silly to paint it if it's just going to burn off, though.

If I decide to fry a turkey, I'll come back and update this review. 'Til then, it's definitely a cheap way to bring a whole bunch of liquid to a boil.

The cold air is nice, however you have to drain the unit hourly. I read in the specs that it is not required to have a drain tube, and that is wrong, I get so tired of seeing the "P2" message all the time (drain needed). There are two drain plugs 1 is about 1cm from the floor so impossible to drain without getting water on the floor, and the other is right above the elect board so when you unplug it, water goes all over the thing!

I ordered this portable A/C unit after much research. I decide to go with the highest btu rating available since portable units are not as effective as large window A/C units... and I'm glad I did.

It arrived promptly, in good condition and it blew cold air right out of the box. Living in the arid desert climate of Las Vegas, NV we often get temps in the 110-115 F range (or even higher). This A/C unit kept the temps in the mid 70s to low 80s in a 540 sq ft 3-car garage all summer (I only run it when I'm working out there). I have the unit safely positioned on top of a 6 ft high metal storage cabinet with the exhaust hose exiting through an existing wall vent at that height (the ceilings in our garage are 9 ft). That way, the air intake on the unit is pulling the warmest air near the ceiling and blowing the cold air down... makes a big difference. If the unit was on the floor, it would be pulling in cool air from the floor, never clearing the warm air from the upper half of the space.

Everthing was going great for 3 months until the unit chimed and presented a code P2 on it's display. The product manual said that means the unit needs to be drained of any accumulated water/condensation inside. There are 2 drain plugs on the back of the unit. I got a bucket and opened the top drain and there was nothing more than a drop of water there. The bottom drain was dry... no water. Regardless the unit would not run, still displaying the P2 code. I wrote to the seller (supermarket88) through the Amazon e-mail contact system and they responded the very next day with an e-mail followed by a phone call. The bottom line is, the problem had apparently resolved itself overnight. It had been extremely humid here for almost a week with lots of rain (unusual weather for us) and the unit just needed to dry out. I was told that the internal moisture sensor is very sensitive and that it must have been fooled by the extreme humidity.

The A/C is working just fine again and I'm pleased to have received such great customer support. I would recommend this product and supermarket88.

My refrigerator was dripping water from the upper freezer into the lower section, caused by the drain passage freezing up every couple weeks. This required repeated emptying & "defrosting" of the freezer (Just like in the "good old days").

I found my frig. schematic inside near the timer device, & did some research on the web. I'm a technician by trade, so understanding what was happening was easy enough & there are only 3 items in the defrost circuit, 1] the heater I was able to verify OK by an Ohm meter test, 2] the timer I could see the gears spinning once the cover was removed, and 3] the thermal switch (aka defrost thermostat). My frequent defrost excercises made me familiar with access to the back of the freezer where the thermostat lives. It was wired into a connector, but I simply snipped the wires at a convenient spot (leaving the connector intact) & wire-nut spliced the new thermostat into the original wires. No muss. No fuss. Frig. works great now & the part cost was about 1/6th of local supplier, & I wouldn't even guess what a service call would have been. Do it yourself. It's easy.

Bought this fireplace for a newly remodeled area of our living room in October. We heat with an oil furnace and wanted to supplement to save money this Winter. We have not had a cold Winter in New England so far, but it has been cold enough to determine that I rarely hear the furnace turn on. I keep it on low and it heats up our living room area very quickly(about 650 sf) and a lot of heat goes upstairs too. Running our ceiling fans helps to circulate the warm air. We have run this unit everyday in the morning when I get up and all evening when I get home from work. My gas bill has increased 10 dollars a month. I can only imagine how much oil we have saved using this fireplace. The cabinet looks like a well made piece of furniture and it adds a lot to my home. My two cats take turns sleeping on top of it. There is a little smell to it when it is operating, but not any worse than when my gas oven is on in the kitchen. Very cozy watching the flames and feeling the warmth.

I would have given it 5 stars but I have to say that the controls are not that easy to operate as you have to get down on the floor and use two hands to turn it on and off. A remote would have been nice. Another thing is that it should come with the heater fan already installed not as an add on for another 100 dollars. Heat rises and there really isn't any way to disperse the heat efficiently without using a fan. Also, I had to have my plumber run the gas line, which cost another 200 dollars, but he was nice enough to put the whole thing together for me and helped figure out how to run it. We both had to read through the instructions several times to figure it out.

All in all, I would recommend this product. We have really enjoyed the ambiance it creates and the savings it has already provided.

The only problem with this product is the control knob for setting the heat. It's crude and has numbers on it. I have been trying for a month to get it where it is comfortable.

We purchased this product for our Florida room. It has turned a room that was unusable in the winter into a favorite winter retreat! It looks beautiful! The wood is real, not laminate. The fire is relaxing. We all clamor to be the one to get to sit closest to it!

Pro's out weigh the Con's

We used the corner conversion, which is just a triangle of wood, two support bars, and a wall mounted bracket. It was easy to do and looks natural. I was concerned about how much weight it could handle, but it seems to be able to support ample amount.

The thermostat is a little touchy. At first we thought it controlled the flame size, and to some degree it does. Setting one is low flame, setting two is medium flame, and setting 3 is high flame. Setting 4-6 is the same as three. But what we realized is that it is actually controlling the thermostat. The flame will shut off once it reaches a certain temperature. However, this was one thing we changed. The thermostat is located at the bottom back of the fireplace, which does not make it very accurate. I would suggest moving it higher, if your fireplace never seems to turn off or over heats the room.

As with any vent-free fireplace, it makes water. You will get condensation on any cold surfaces (like windows). The benefit to this is the house is somewhat humidified. The bad news is you will have to wipe down your windows & window sills. We actually really enjoy the moisture in the air.

This unit does not come with a blower. We have found it doesn't need one. We leave our ceiling fan (blowing up instead of down) on low. This is all it needs to evenly heat the room. Without the fan, the room heated fine. It just took a little longer for it to warm it all up.

This product does hook up to natural gas, so you will need to purchase any of the pipe that would connect your natural gas to the fireplace. And have the skill to connect the new pipe to an existing line. Also, as with any natural gas fires, it will have a bluish hue to the flame at the bottom and an orange hue to the flame at the top. We think that is still far prettier then no flame at all!

I bought these heaters about a month and a half ago. The fan on one of them stopped working and smelled like it was burning. Contacted seller on Amazon who said they only have a 30 day warranty through them but there is a 3 year warranty through the manufacturer. Contacted the manufacturer who told me they would send me out a new fan and I would need to install it myself. I replaced the fan that they sent me and the heater still did not work. The 3 year warranty is only for parts, they do not replace or fix the unit itself unless you pay to ship it to them and back. There is a reason they only sell these heaters online and not in stores. I'm now stuck with a useless piece of junk.

Obviously, 5100 watts is 5100 wattsIf you are trying to heat a 1200 square foot barn you will not be happy regardless of product because of the porosity and massive heat loss at low temps. On the other hand, if you have a well-insulated 1200 square foot space these little heaters will be fabulous. They are easy to set up and easy to control with the handy remotes. Understand the settings before complaining about how they work. You are NOT reading room temperature. A separate accurate thermometer will give you that info. Well designed, easy to look at and use.

I bought this to replace a broken chiller made by Waste King. The old unit had a broken compressor and fan and the parts cost plus labor exceeded the cost of this Clover C12E so I decided to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised. The unit is slightly bigger than the one being replaced but shaped like a large block of wood so you have a flat surface on top to put things. I didn't quite like the unfinished surface but it is meant to go inside the cabinet so it really does not matter. The hookup is a snap. I had to get the 2 quick connect connectors that would fit the 2 outlets and connect the tubing to the old connectors. The fan is a bit noisy but quieter than the old one. All in all I am very happy with this product.

So far, I could not use this water chiller unit because the water drains from the bottom out of the service drain. Now we've been at it for more than three hours trying to figure out how to stop the leaking: tightening the valve, passing water into the unit to find if there's a crack, etc. The only thing we could not do was open up the unit to find the actual problem, in fear of voiding the warranty.

Instead we asked the distributor of this item for a replacement unit. Turns out that same unit has that same leaking problem out of the same exact place.

I found this item to have wasted more than two months of my time. I do not recommend this item in fear that more units will be just as defective.

I have about 10 portable heaters between my house and my office. I have several Honeywell models which are ceramic. I also have the Honeywell model 709 oil-filled heater.

This model, the 370 ceramic heater, is the best so far. The thermostat works the way it should. The older models that Honeywell makes like the 339, and 341 work well, but the thermostat doesn't work the way it should.

This new model, the 370, works absolutely awesome.

Don't buy the oil filled model. I did some detailed testing with thermometers and timers. The ceramic model heats the room twice as well as the oil filled.

I use all my heaters every day for about 6 months per year. Take my word for it, this model is great.

The plastic will smell for a few weeks though. That seems unavoidable with any model unfortunately. Just run it in the basement or garage for 15 minutes per day for a few weeks and the smell is gone.

Buy this model and you won't be disappointed.

We bought several heaters and tested them out over the last 3 years. We have 2 little girls and use them to keep their rooms at 69 degrees at night (Wisconsin has some long winters). The others we tried were complicated to set or program, but this one is easy as pie. push the center dial, turn to the desired temp and if you want eco mode. That's it!!!!! It heats their 13'X12' bedrooms with ease, I would even say it would heat rooms up to twice that size. The first one we bought over 3 years ago and it is still going strong.

In Closing, if you are looking for a heater, look no further, spend a little extra $$ and get this model it is worth it

Hi, My name Is Mr. H. Patel and this is my first review on amazon. I never get a chance to write review. But i like this heater so much. I bought this heater from Walmart in clearance for $20 in March-2008. Since 2008 i am using it in 18 X 15 feet room and it's work's great. I am living in northern New jersey where winter is so brutal. sometime temp. drops down in -10 degree Fahrenheit. But this heater never gave up. It has nice thermostat control which turn on of in +/2 degree range of set temperature. Looks tiny but very powerful. also it has tip over safety feature works great. I have carpet in my all room. and i am putting this heater on small stool in corner it works for me.

After 3 winter i used i just cleaned it by opening it's panel from backside. Obviously it has lint kind of stuff clogged on top of ceramic element. I cleaned it now it's ready for 2011 winter.I recommend clean it every 2 years so it will not use extra electricity to heat it up room and work efficiently.

The Honeywell HZ-370 GP Electronic Ceramic Heater is "just the right size" if you are looking for a compact heater with a stylish design. It can be used for both floor and table top. I especially like the modern, streamlined body of this heater. There is a digital window which shows the room temperature, an energy saver button, a timer which can be set for 1, 2, 4, or 8 hours. Also, the temperature can be set from 45 degrees to 80 degrees, and the heater will turn off when that temperature is reached; it will be displayed, and then blink. It will then turn back on when the temperature drops below the desired setting. There are two heat settings 1500 watts on high, and 900 watts in the energy saver mode.

By pressing the button on the top, the heater will oscilliate. There is a recessed handle on the top for convenience. It is equipped with several saftety devices and has a tip-over switch that disables the heater if tipped over. An Alert Heat Indicator Badge on the grille turns from black to red when hot. A high temperature safety control prevents overheating, and a back-up thermal circuit breaker will shut down the heater if operated a higher than normal temperatures. Also, the heater runs fairly quite for the amount of heat it puts out.

I was impressed with the many features of this heater and how efficiently it performs. It puts out ample heat for the size. If it came with a remote, it would have received 5 stars. This is the only feature it lacks, and I would have preferred to be included. Great little heater!
