I bought this for our vacation home. The furnace warms the ground floor fine, but there is only one heating duct on the entire second floor. This warms the bedroom nicely, and it is very quiet, with a remote. Good buy.

This item is not a fan at all...it is simply a heater. I ordered it because the advertisement stated that it works well for both summer and winter. This is not true! The fan does not blow cool air...I don't know how the heater works because it has been 100 degrees in Chicago! I am very annoyed that this product claimed to do something that it does not do. IT IS NOT A FAN!!!!! And I am NOT A FAN!!!

I bought this product to solve a tough problem in an old house. The thermostat that controlled the upstairs heat was located on the first floor. I did not want to pay to have wires run upstairs etc etc. so this seemed a good solution. I read about the complications of installing and the need for the "C" or "Common Wire" which my existing thermostat did not have. When I got the unit, I realized that is just a 24 volt circuit to power the send and receive unit. The furnace control circuitry runs on 24 volt and I was able to easily locate where to connect the unit's C wire. It took 10 minutes to figure out. (You want to put the send/receive unit down by the furnace. It's too big on the wall.) Product works beautifully.The thermostat itself and it's program-ability are fantastic. All the internet control stuff is a plus. I highly recommend this product.

Installation is simple, even though HVAC is what I do for a living, a knowledgeable do it yourself rr should be able to handle the installation. Wireless thermostat placement means there is no wire to pull if relocating the thermostat. The smart phone and online setup was effortless and the remote software is simple to use. The ability to control the home environment is awesome.

For the situation I was in (house construction making it really difficult to replace an existing 2 wire thermostat control with a 4 wire), this setup does what you'd expect: you can simply wire their Electronic Furnace Interface up at the furnace, and then wirelessly link the main thermostat to it remotely. Simple to install, and it works.

Add in the included Redlink gateway, and you can control the thermostat remotely via the web or a mobile device.

That said, I found a few limitations that are worth pointing out:

1. Some of the product literature for the YTH6320 implies that the thermostat may enable a circulation mode in which the fan is run periodically. This functionality isn't included in the YTH6320.

2. While you can control the fan (on/auto) with the main thermostat, the Redlink interface doesn't allow this.

This setup got me 90% of the functionality I want (I do much of my heating with a wood stove, so it's useful being able to circulate air with the fan when not running the heat), but it would be nice if it did the other 10%.

I've just finished the install, but here's a few observations: 1) "Interface module (dp)" -My instruction book & a you tube video indicated the green light would immediately start blinking when I push the "connect" button. I was VERY sad for about 5 minutes :( Then it started blinking and all is well :) 2)"System Test" via the thermostat -I could only "check the system status" by pushing the >up< arrow for each "system test", not either, as written. I must write later to give a true "star" rating

What I don't like so far--in my opinion: 1) Apparently I >must< access my thermostat (over the Internet) only thru Honeywell computers and, I cannot have a copy of the software to access my thermostat via a local (lan) computer. 2) Apparently, when I created my required online account, I >had to< agree that Honeywell has the right to charge me for this service in the future.

Wow...I just got this throw and I love it. It is so soft and I have not had it over the low setting. I got this because I am very cold natured and now have a roommate from up north that thinks 60 is warm while if it is below 75 I freeze. I only wish that they had the ability to turn off the automatic shut off. Other than that, I am very happy with this purchase. The cost here is about twice what I paid at the store tho so check out other places before you buy.

I got this when it was priced at $20, the blanket is very nice for the price. the wire is a little stiff, the fabric a little "plasticky", and the cords are placed at the bottom-middle of the blanket (the opposite of where my outlet is), but it gets very warm which is what I was worried it wouldn't do. I previously purchased a $60 twin sized electric blanket that only felt warm when another blanket was on top, this blanket gets warm without any added weight (so warm my chihuahua has to move after a while). I came back to buy another one as a Christmas gift and was surprised at the price jump. Did a little researching and then drove to my local Walmart and bought one for $19.99. I would recommend this item, especially at the $20 price, but probably not at $40+

Floor to ceiling windows are only a good idea in places that get no deep winter they are like open refrigerator doors. I bought this throw so I could stand to sit in a chair through a whole movie. It's an ideal generous size,very lightweight, and the heat selections are great. High really IS high. The material has not instantly developed unsightly fuzz balls and seems cat hair does not stick to it. I should know since now my two very hairy cats have also discovered being warm is a good thing. I recommend it highly to anyone who'd like to stay warm and comfy anywhere in their house in single digit weather!

My daughter had an electric blanket which I really enjoyed using when I visited her recently. I hate being chilly and have a hard time sleeping when it's cold but my husband hates being too warm and having an electric blanket so I wanted one I could just use personally, so my daughter got me this throw last week. WOW! Perfect sized and it is warm! I don't need it higher than the LOW setting. I was surprised that there is a 3 hour auto timer shut off instead of 10 hours for a blanket but I guess that is the nature of a throw vs. blanket. Doesn't deter from the usefulness of this. I do feel the wires in this but it is not too prominent, and the fabric pattern is pretty and very soft. I think this throw is more comfortable than my daughter's blanket was!

The new Honeywell Prestige t-stat in the HD format is really a cool idea, I purchased this t-stat to replace the white rogers big blue, being certified to do A/C I thought this was going to be easy, some things to remember, 1. you need a 5 or more wire system on your A/C / Heat this thermostat takes a common wire to power it up, if you have only 4 wires then it will NOT work you will have to pull new wire from your control board to the t-stat, and forget about calling Honeywell customer service they are no help what so ever, after pulling new wire and doing the traditional hook up it was very easy to get this thermostat up and running it is very easy to program, I purchased the outside remote (wireless) to let me see what the weather outside was doing all in 1 place, this is a cool feature. I like the screen it is very well lit, it has very easy programs to operate through, like setting time, date cooling days ect The best feature is the clarity of the screen, at night in the absolute dark there is the thermostat all lit up easily read with the lights off, and you can adjust the screen brightness. There are a myriad of applications that can be chosen when programming, something I have never seen before in any programmable thermostat, I would suggest staying from installers mode, in that mode there are too many things you can mess up that are important that are pre set, I went in and only changes 1 thing, which was to let my A/C system had 2 stages, it comes set to 1 by the factory. All in all a great purchase if you can get over paying for cutting edge technology. I would highly recommended this thermostat!!!

Bought a similar model (HONEYWELL THX9321R5000) from another supplier about a year and a half ago. There are many things that I love about this thermostat. Easily read, great programming options, wireless remotes, and more. Recently the temperature readout has become erratic making the thermostat useless. Honeywell advertises a 5 yr warranty on this unit and provides a number to call for service. I called and was told that the unit can only be returned to the contractor that installed it. Even though the warranty specifically states that one can call the 800 number and have the unit replaced, Honeywell refuses to replace it. I informed them that I bought the thermostat on line and thus had no contractor. They are adamant about this item being a contractor item saying that only a certified contractor can install it. Garbage! I installed and programed this unit in 10 minutes. There is nothing different about installing this thermostat over a retail model. Just a marketing ploy! No where on the warranty does it state that the unit must be replaced by a contractor if defective. I have a useless $400 thermostat! My advise DO NOT BUY!!!!

I have reviewed the Prestige HD Thermostat at its own page. This is a kit, combining the thermostat with the external temperature sensor. The setup for the temperature sensor was easy and the range is good. All of my thermostats all over the house get their updates with nary an issue.

One thing I found curious is that all thermostats have to be hooked up individually to the external sensor. So, every time you get a new thermostat, you have to retrieve the external unit, press its "pair" button and then you're good to go. Since it's a one-time thing, it's not a big deal. On the other hand, I'm surprised that Honeywell cannot design these thermostats to create their own local network, so that once the thermostat joins the network that it automatically gets the external temperature data. After all, they came up with their own proprietary network, right (redLINK).

To recap some of the points from my other review (full a full rundown, see the link above) keep a couple of things in mind:

1) Honeywell only supports the trades on this unit. You will get NO customer support as a end-user. You have to call a licensed installer.

2) This unit will not work as one would intend with a hydronic heating / AC cooling system, especially if you have a humidifier, unless you execute a workaround (see the other review for detailed instructions).

3) The unit setup functions are locked out by default, i.e. in order to access the installer menu, you have to look up the date code first.

4) The Honeywell universe is a walled garden. Yes, you can control this thing from an iPad with the right interface, etc. but you're locked into the Honeywell hardware to do so. Other advances thermostat systems are not as restrictive.

I bought a new home about 1.5 years ago with a requirement to have a furnace with zones or a dual upstairs / downstairs unit. We were sick of drastic cold/hot spots in our previous home. Even with a separate unit for our upstairs the furthest room where our youngest daughter sleeps was still ~4 degrees colder in the winter than the rest of the home. AC company came out and and confired air flow and insulation. I even crawled in the attic to confirm that there was ample insulation in the attic. The house is all blow-in insulation.

The AC company recommended a few products to help with but not fix our problem. This included 2 of prestige HD thermostats (one for upstairs and one for downstairs) along with the remote tempurature sensor and two whole house humidifiers.

I ended up purchasing two of the prestige thermostats (one from amazon) and installed myself after watching a few on-line tutorials. This saved me about $600 from what the AC installer wanted to charge me.

This thermostat has some additional controls for the fan cycle that my previous and very basic thermostat did not have. By cycling the fan more frequently we have been able to keep a more consistent tempurature in my daughters room at the end of the vent run. As the AC company stated it would help but not fully solve the problem. I will likely add the remote tempurature sensor so we can maintain temp based off the conditions in her room rather than ours.

Over all this product delivers a user friendly device with all the features you could ask for in a thermostat. I highly recommend so long as you can install yourself and save the inflated price of having an AC company mark-up and charge for instalation.

First, I've bought about 12 smaller Atomic clocks over the years and usually end up giving them to friends.

My biggest question about this clock was does it have a Wave button to force it to look for a signal, and the picture everyone uses to advertise this clock makes it appear to have a backlight. It does have a Wave button (see my pictures of the backside controls), and it is not backlighted (see my picture of the giant and normal clocks with a $10 bill for scale).

I first bought a smaller clock from Amazon model "La Crosse Technology WS-811561-W atomic digital wall clock with solar-powered sensor" but it was missing Wave buttons for the time and temperature, and the solar-powered thermometer didn't take batteries and was poorly documented in the manual -it just felt cheap compared to other clocks I've owned. The deal breaker was when I called La Crosse Technology for help minutes after taking it out of the box -I was left on hold for 30 minutes and then disconnected. I then used Amazon to Return the item and was given a return tag, postage paid.

Next I called Amazon's seller "American Science & Surplus" and got right through to a customer service specialist who answered my questions in less than a minute -and then I ordered the giant clock from Amazon because I felt good spending the extra dollars for the big model, and after a week now, I highly recommend it -it is a first rate product sold by a professional business who answers its phones.

I took the time to post this (my first review) because I really use other reviewers' feedback and no one posted any reviews on this product.

Great digital clock. Just purchased my second one. First one is in the office at work the second will be for our warehouse. The large digital numbers are easily readable from across any large room or warehouse. Very accurate as it updates itself nightly. We have issues at work punching in and out on time as most of our clocks are set at different times. Not anymore. I am even thinking of getting one for my elderly mother to use at home. Easily 5 stars.

I purchased this clock for use in Kingston, Jamaica and I was not disappointed at all. Following the instructions precisely I allowed it to set itself. The batteries were put in one afternoon at about 4 p.m. and sure enough the next morning the display said "Wave OK." That's a sign that it synchronised with the NIST clock. If you want to know whether the clock will pick up the radio signal where you live then you may find the information on NIST website to be very useful. The article gives a very good background information about atomic clocks in general and how they synchronize.

I would highly recommend this product to anyone who wants to forget about resetting their clock at home or work.

This is the best radio-controlled "atomic clock" I've ever owned. Too bad the temperature display is inaccurate.

The clock found the radio signal within two or three minutes of my inserting the batteries, during the *daytime*, faster than any other I've tried. That includes an old Radio Shack clock that needed to be set outside for at least half a day after time changes, and a La Crosse Technology clock that I just returned to Amazon because I couldn't get it to lock on to the signal after more than a week of moving it around all over the place. I did put this new clock near a window, but no other special treatment was required.

On the other hand, the temperature display is high by at least two degrees. I've compared it to three precision mechanical thermometers, and to our digital thermostats which were recently calibrated by the installers. I never intended to rely on this for temperature readouts, and I don't want to get involved with returning it after just having returned the La Crosse clock, but the numbers are really big so I glued a square of black paper over that part of the display. That looks dumb, but at least I can say I bought this from a "surplus" reseller on Amazon for $40 less than retail.

I just ordered one of these to replace an old one that we had in our office for over 7 years. It had stopped showing the correct date and temperature. I looked all over trying to find something that was this big, but also showed the outside temperature. After about 3 orders/returns, I gave up and purchased another one of these. This is the only digital clock that you can easily see across a large office. The numbers are also very bright.

This works better than the electric blanket. A few hours before going to bed I turn it on to about 5 and turn it off once I'm in bed and the warmth remains til the morning. Also I don't have to have the thermostat on so high which can be uncomfortable. Now every bed in the house have one for the winter and it works wonders!

This is my first time using a heated mattress pad, and I'm pretty satisfied with it. It has 10 heat settings and an Off button on each control, separate controls for each side of the bed. The padding is light and I can feel the wires that're about 3mm diameter. Since I have a mattress pad already, I put it under my own mattress pad and I don't feel the wires anymore. This also keep the heat milder, which I like. I turn the heat setting to Hi 40 minutes before bed and turn to Low when I get in bed, that keeps me warm throughout the night. The reason I give it 4 star is due to a few' It's warm under the pillow which I don't think is necessary for energy saving purpose' power plug isn't at head side of bed but at foot side (I followed instructions and made sure the orientation is correct); wire is kind of big; control isn't stable on night stand due to its light weight and big wire attached to it; control is warm even when turned off (still using electricity). After all I paid $68 for King size, I'd say it's a product with good value!

My soft-sider waterbed heater doesn't work anymore and I decided to try this product. Wow! It's nestled between the featherbed and the attached pillow topper. Thirty minutes before retiring I turn it on and when I get into bed I'm so comfy. I set it at ten at first,then turn it down to five. Regarding the complaint about the controller, since I no longer even tuck in the ends of my top sheet, I just dangled it at the foot end. No lump to bump into. Who wants their pillow heated anyway? Obviously, I didn't use the portion that would usually be snapped into place around the bed. The pad stays flat because of the compression it gets from the featherbed. I have a queen-sized but only ordered the full. I don't have to heat the edges of the bed. The warmth from the pad radiates enough.

My son is very cold-natured, and doesn't like cold beds. I tried flannel sheets, warm footie pajamas (he still sleeps with both)and he has a warm blanket-he still complains the bed is cold (mainly when he get's in). I have an electric blanket on my bed, which he discovered one day. He loved it so much, I let him "borrow" it that night. I planned to order a second electric blanket so we would both have one, however I discovered online that it is dangerous to let young kids sleep with electric blankets mainly due to the blankets getting crinkled upthe wires can get damaged and bent, so it's a fire hazard. Yikes! I went and turned his blanket off for the night as soon as I read that, next I ordered this heated mattress pad for him. The next morning I saw that the electric blanket he had slept in had indeed become quite wrinkled and bunched up in his bed, so I knew the heated mattress pad was a better choice for him.

This heated mattress pad really is the perfect solution for him. I pre-warm his bed before he gets in, then turn it off (or sometimes on the lowest setting) for the night. When he first gets in the bed, the gentle warmth is soothing to him. He snuggles himself into a cozy position and says, "aaahhh I love my bed," and for what it's worth to other tired mothershe actually lays still, and GOES TO SLEEP!I no longer have to pray to the nap/sleep gods like I used to ;) Unlike a blanket, I don't have to worry about it getting twisted up, and the fit is perfect: it fits securely over his deep pillow-top mattress. I put a thin, waterproof mattress cover over the heated mattress pad to protect it. (
