I bought this for the intention of a non-pressurized 5L keg use. I have to say, pain in the rear from the start. First unit arrived with no damage and look clean. I flushed the hoses and performed all start-up maintenance with the little mini-kegerators. After initializing the CO2 cartridge. All CO2 was pushing through the valve stem into the mini-keg. Pressurizing the keg and not the beer. Called manufacture and they told me that this was a known product defect and to send back. By the way, I could see why EdgeStar has a bad customer service repoire. I received the unit in 10 days to find that it was a refurbished unit. Rust on the faucet handle and scrapes inside the housing. Stainless steel not layered in a clean plastic for protection. Dead give away. Unit in fact, this time time pour when faucet was completely vertical. Checked the valve screw and was in as far as can be. Called customer service and they refunded without sending out another unit. DO NOT BUY. I don't have any suggestions for a better mini-kegerator. If you like to gamble, then by all means give it a shot.

I got this as a gift from my mother-in-law and set it up, instructions that come with it are very vague and poorly written for what is there, I figured it out, let it cool for about a day, and this thing is noisy, runs hot as it left my granite counter with a black mark under it due to this, finally dropped a pressurized mini keg of new castle into it, door would not close unless I removed plastic top off of new castle keg, no instructions on how to tap the pressurized kegs in manual, just says it will and shows the correct adapter, okay no worries, did just that and the tap just leaks the beer, tried the 2nd pressurized adapter it includes, and leaks more beer, tried to call customer service throughout the day and you get directed to voicemail during all business hours, got on website for live chat, after 5 min someone says hello but I type questions and get pre responses back.... LIVE..... right...... gave model # and problem, says work it out with retailer and that product is too new with no replacement parts available yet, sorry are you not the manufacturing company... and WHAT company tells you to work a problem out with THEIR product towards the retailer who I purchased THEIR product that is a royal POS, BUY something else and save yourself from this company who I hope goes down quickly with this type of product and service, they should be ashamed

I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my husband. It leaked from the tap immediately. When he called the manufacturer, the customer service person was extremely rude. He was finally asked to send it back. Still no response from the manufacturer if they are able to fix the problem, if they will send a new one or if a refund will be provided. The product was purchased thru Amazon, but the manufacturer requested it be returned to them.

I am a homebrewer and after brewing for about a year I decided to invest in a mini keg system. I needed something small since i didn't have room for a full kegging system. I wanted a system that would force carbonate my homebrew. That is what this machine is supposed to do. IT DOES NOT!

When the unit arrived i was like a kid at Christmas. It looked good and setup was easy. I already had a mini keg of my cherry stout ready. I installed the keg, turned on the co2 and waited. I gave it 24 hours and tried it. Nothing not a drip. I checked the connections and chalked it up to my eagerness and decided to give it more time. I gave it a week. NOTHING! I changed the co2. Nothing! I replaced my uncarbed keg with one that was carbonated with corn sugar. It was able to dispense with the tap on the keg but when i connected it. NOTHING! i gave it 24 hours. it did manage to dispense a half glass of foam.

I had really high hopes and I am very disappointed.

I like my draft beer Kegerator but I find the fan Noisy and it run's most of the time and the noise is very noticeable. Besides that it keeps my keg at a good temperature.

This fireplace is very lovely. It has multiple light and heat settings. It is very attractive!! However, it is also a bit too loud. For the price, I expect it to be quieter. Our other complaint is that the top is not a solid piece, but made of 3 pieces. However, it is cute and looks nice in our corner and I am keeping it, but it was expensive and I wish I could figure out how to quiet the sound a bit.

I just installed this heater a couple of days ago and have been using it the last two nights. Here are my thoughts on it: Installation instructions and operation manual are pretty straight forward. As is the install not a big deal. Only trouble I had was that the gas port on the bottom comes with a metal plug in it (to keep moisture out of the heater while it is being stored in the warehouse) and it was a bit tight to get out. A hex key came with the heater for plug removal but I had to put a 'cheater' on the hex key to get a little more leverage.

I have run it the last couple of nights and here is what I found: it only got down to the low 40's (Fahrenheit) here so I put the dial on "2" and the heater would not kick on until my room temperature dropped to about 68 degrees. It stays on until the temperature hits 70 and then it shuts off and the pilot light remains on. When the heater is running and generating heat it makes a small "shushing" sound that I find is pleasant white noise.

To sum up: I like this heater, it does a good job of zone heating for my bedroom and I recommend it.

We live in an old farmhouse circa 1905. No insulation. These little gas heaters are a life saver. I recommend!

I have a larger one of these and I really like it. I like this one as well, but I really want to see ProCom make a fan for it and include it in the price of this unit. The main reason being "It really would help to have the fan in it." It puts out heat very well, but you need something to help circulate it. So I use a a standing fan or something else to help move it around. They should at least offer a unit with a built in fan, even if it cost a good chunk more. If you're looking for good quick heat and heat that doesn't cost an arm and a leg, then you found what you want. Just make sure to get a small fan to help move the heat around.

I purchased this thermostat based on it's 7 day progammability AND the option to turn OFF the function which heats or cools the house to the set temperature by the set time. That function is advertised as an off/on option on the manufacturer's website and in the programming guide. However, my unit simply skipped that step in programming mode, rendering the early start function permanently on. White-Rodgers customer service was at times curt and borderline rude. I was told to reset the unit to no avail. I then bought this Lux thermostat and am very, very happy with it.

I bought this thermostat from Amazon based upon our experience in our previous home in which we had the multi-stage version of this White-Rodgers thermostat, and which ran flawlessly. The operation of these thermostats is simple, and when they function as advertised, they have several features that I like, such as the ability to calibrate the displayed temeprature (e.g., so that control can be made relative to a temperature elsewhere in the house other than the thermostat's location). I also like the "early-on" feature. Finally, our previous White-Rodgers thermostat did a fantastic job of maintaining a comfortable temperature in the house.

Unfortunately, I had to return the 1F87-361 because it was constantly failing in its duties, requiring daily resetting (and reprogramming) to get it to work. Also, as stated by another customer in this thread, the "early-on" feature (called Energy Management Recovery or EMR by White-Rodgers) was not available as a setting in the thermostat's Configuration Menu. In my particular thermostat, EMR was always off (according to the manual, the factory default for this setting is supposed to be ON).

All this said, when it worked, the White-Rodgers did a much better job at controlling temperature in our house than the factory-supplied (nonprogrammable) Bryant thermostat, which I have had to re-install until I can replace it with a better thermostat. The difference in comfort achieved by the two different thermostats is so great that I am -stillconsidering getting a White-Rodgers thermostat, but only after much more research.

Easy to install, with a simple 7-day program (each day can be programmed differently). Takes 1 AA battery so settings are kept during a power outage. I'm using this to control 3 electric baseboard heaters in a large (26 x 20) room (through a relay; this is a low voltage unit). I've been using this thermostat for just over 4 months now without any problems at all.

Purchased the WC-1682. Received the unit promptly and the unit itself was in good shape. Nice looking unit, everything fit well and plenty of space for the wine.

Pro's

-The unit is reasonably priced.

-It presents well.

-Runs quietly.

-Cooling system is efficient.

Con's

Like all of these thermoelectric systems, it runs continuously. No getting away from this particular design and my guess is all of the manufacturers use the same guts. Given that these are relatively inexpensive, they must save some money by not putting in a relay to actually shut down the unit when it reaches the proper temperature. There may be other reasons for not stopping the cooling and fan completely, but it is not obvious to this engineer why they wouldn't do so except costs for putting the fan on a separate circuit and to keep the fan running for air circulation. An extra few components would be required to separate the fan control from the thermoelectric cooler. The fan and cooling systems slow down significantly when they reach the proper temperature, but neither actually stops. Hence they are inefficient.

The unit itself is poorly calibrated. The unit I received runs 7 degrees hotter than indicated by the display. I set it initially at 65 degrees and it was actually running at 72 degrees. I didn't run a complete set of tests to see the variation. The temperature was calibrated against a Fluke 971. There is no method or adjustments on the board to adjust this calibration. You simply have to live with it. Also, this will limit the lower temperature range since it can't be set below it's rated temperature.

The unit cannot be kept in a cool room. Since the thermoelectric cooling unit runs continuously, if the room gets at or near the temperature set point, then the temperature in the unit will drift downward because the unit cannot shut off. For example, if the room temperature is 66 degrees, and the unit is set at 65 degrees, the temperature will actually drift down to around 59 degrees or so because the cooling system never shuts down.

So far, the unit has been reliable and quiet. Minimum of movable components (only two fans). I would recommend the unit, with the caveat that anyone purchasing this separately calibrate the unit. Also, if you need to run the unit at or near the lowest temperature settings, this would not be recommended due the significant difference between the settings and the actual temperature.

There are no controls for temperature calibration. Once powered, the unit only cools below ambient temperatures of the room. THe ambient temp in my house is 68F, the internal thermometer of the wine cooler registers at about 41F and does not deviate this despite re-setting to 55F. I would not recommend this to anyone

Plenty of room for Pinot and tall napa cab bottles. In the month since I own the cooler it began by cycling between the set temperature and one degree lower then after about two weeks it cycles between one and two degrees below the set temp. I suspect thermometer is not that accurate. It is all in the correct range for red wine and probably not that critical. It's quiet and unobtrusive. Overall a good value. I would buy it again given my experience so far.

We where looking forward to this wine cooler, we ordered with express shipping, 2-3 days, but the cooler never arrived. Amazon promptly refunded our money, but we never found out why we did not receive the cooler?

In the meantime I received a replacement part for our Vinotemp Cooler, their service dept. sucks, but the cooler works now, let's see for how long.

Sorry, can't tell you about the Sunpentown cooler.
