I bought this heater because it has an all plastic casing surrounding the metal heating element. Therefore, I can put it on the floor and my young children will not be burned by it. It is also a very effective heater, easily heating a large bedroom or living room. However, with the thermastat on the heater, it won't overheat a room.

Holmes Oscillating Space Heater with Fan Review
I have this heater in my office at work and I had one at home. It is perfect for warming a nice sized space. My work office is about 10x10. At home I used it in the guest bedroom or my master bedroom if I didnt want the central heat on. I love that it rotates. With all the different heat settings you will find one that works for you. I'm buying another because I lent my home one to my parents and they plugged it into an outlet with about 10 other appliances, the breaker popped and burned the circuitry. (Not the fans fault). I would recommend to a friend.

This was one of the best purchases I have made. I was so tired of waking up in the middle of the night and having to walk downstairs to adjust the temperatute. This thermostat and remote control work exactly as advertised. The only slight difference I notice is that the temperature reading for the house does not seem to be quite as sensitive as my old thermostat, so sometimes you have to set it a little cooler than you would think to get it to click on. This is a great unit--easy installation (about 30 minutes for a non-HVAC expert) and good directions. The remote has a great range--I operate it across a 3,000+ SF home with no problems. Multiple channels are available, so if you're like me, you can install multiple remotes to control multiple thermostats.What heavily impresses me with this unit is how it conserves energy in a way that cuts my utility bill. When the air conditioning is activated (perhaps for the furnance, too--I don't know because it's September here in San Diego and I can wait to find out), the unit will spool up the compressor to cool the air and eventually turn off the compressor while still blowing.
In other words, you get the benefit of additional cool air while only paying for the fan and not the more energy-hungry air conditioner. I heard of this method of energy savings before but was highly skeptical on the actual benefits it would deliver. Suffice it to say that I'm now a believer.

Easy installation instructions provided and a video is also from Lux website.Both my wife & I dreaded leaving our warm bed to turn up the thermostat on those cold winter mornings. This programmable thermostat solves this problem on a regular basis (pre-programmed times & temperature settings). On those mornings when we wake before the std. time, our remote control allows us to set the desired temperature without leaving the warmth of our bed. I wish that this product was available in Minnesota when I was a kid in the 1960's!

This thermostat offers some pretty nice features. If you live in an environment that is prone to temperature and humidity extremes, as we do here in Arizona, then having a remote control is very handy for tweaking the thermostat's settings by a degree or two without having to drop your studies or get out of bed to do it. Since the remote is a radio frequency (RF) control, adjustments can be made from any room in the house. Walls do not interfere with signals that this remote control unit sends to the thermostat. When you adjust the thermostat using the remote control the unit automatically reverts to settings you have programmed as soon as the desired temperature has been attained. The remote also has a cancel button that allows you to revert to your programmed settings at any time.This unit can save you quite a bit of money if it is installed in an appropriate place and programmed properly. The ideal place to locate a thermostat is 5 feet above the floor on a wall that is in an open area such as a living or dining room, which is not exposed to drafts. The thermostat needs to sense the ambient temperature of the room. If it is placed in a drafty location, the thermostat will not be able to properly control the temperature, because it will send false readings to your air handling unit.
The problem I was experiencing prior to installing this thermostat stemmed from the fact that the thermostat was mounted in a hallway, immediately beneath the return air duct for the a/c unit. Subsequently, the thermostat would sense a perpetual flow of heat in the air streaming past it and would send false signals to the A/C unit telling it operate much more than it needed to. On a 110+ degree day the A/C unit would run almost perpetually. Thus, coolant in the unit was not able to rest and adequately recover from the heat it was absorbing during protracted cycles.
The solution was 15 feet of 4-conductor #20 AWG (Solid Copper) cable from a hardware store, which I butt spliced to the cable that was originally installed in the wall. This allowed me to locate the Lux thermostat on a living room wall about 8 feet from the location of the old thermostat. This has cut the time my air conditioner runs by about 20 percent, and the nice thing about this thermostat is that it monitors the time that the air handling unit runs, by providing read-outs for hours and minutes utilized on a daily basis -i.e. yesterday, today, and the total for the month.
Lux has great customer service, so if you need help installing this thermostat you may well be able to do it yourself. Even if you need to pay an electrician for an hour, 20 percent off of a few $400+ electricity bills adds up pretty fast.

I bought this remote to control my firegear ventless gas logs since I decided to switch to heating my house primarily by propane instead of my heat pump. This remote control units works well for my needs. I can set it to 70 degrees and it will cycle the logs on at 68 and off at 72. The only reason I did not give this item a 5 star rating is that you cannot adjust the swing setting, which is the +2 off and -2 on setting that controls the logs. I should have done more research, but I was able to compensate by playing with where I put the remote. I placed the remote a little closer to the fireplace, which effectively cycles the logs on/off how I prefer. According to my central heat/air thermostat, the effective swing is now only 1 degree. My actual temperature varies from 69-70 degrees.

Reviews of Weber Style 32908 Professional-Grade Barbecue Beeper Digital
All reviews indicating probe failure are consistent with my findings, which is an engineering design flaw in the choice of low-temp material for the wire insulation that eventually carbonizes with high-temp exposure (my opinion). The thermister sensor itself remains functional (assumming it was always inside food; I disassembled one probe to confirm how it failed). The failure will not usually occur immediately, unless exposed to very high temp, such as a grill on sear. As far as I can tell all probes of different manufactures are essentially of the same design (I have several, and they are interchangeable among the units). The main point to take away is that ALL of these will eventually fail after accumulating enough high-temp exposure time. You are essentially cooking the wire insulation until it carbonizes internally and shorts out the sensor. The silly part of this is high-temp wire probes have been around for decades, so this is just plain bad engineering, not rocket science, but so far (based in part on other reviews) I don't know of anyone doing it correctly in the consumer market (you need an industrial probe). The worst environment for these is the grill, which is why I put this review here; you may get only one use.
But so far I've gone through three sensor wires in that short time period. Each time they failed (reading of 199° immediately after turning it on), I've had to call Weber and request a replacement. I was always accused of closing the lid on the wire, which I never did -I would always make sure the wire was placed in one of the little notches on the side of our Weber grill. But to their credit, they eventually would agree to send me out a new one.
After the third sensor wire failed just recently, they sternly informed me that "this would be the last time" they would replace it since I've had the product for more than a year. The unit has a one-year warranty, but I guess it doesn't matter that I never got more than a year out of any of the sensors.
If they improved the durability of the sensor wire then they would have a great product on their hands. As it stands now, I'd steer clear of this product.
I have used this for cooking slow and you have to turn it back on after 8 hours as it turns off to save batteries. The range on the unit is very good and will go through brick walls and cement floors.
I highly recommend this if you take the easy precaution of wrapping the wire in aluminum foil from the probe and any area that will be inside the heat area.
The unit seems very accurate, and its great to have it remote. However, I have already ruined one of the two probes, as I inserted it into the meat immediately, while I was still searing. My grill temp must have been over the 480 degree limit, as the probe has now been damaged and does not work at all.

It works great but only when you wrap the sensor wire with heavy duty aluminum foil/ I made sure it was wrapped with 4 layers. This stops the direct head that it will get. Weber should be ashamed to have their name on this. No timer, the temperatures are already programmed (rare, med rare, well done), you can't adjust them. After the first hour it lost the signal and I could get it back, turned it on and off, nothing. Spend a few extra dollars and get the Redi-Check, it has a timer, you can set the temperature, and the remote sensor has a temperature read out. The 16" size of this Presto skillet actually ended up saving room in my kitchen because it replaced both an electric griddle and an old 12" electric skillet. This pan can be used for all kinds of cooking: griddling, frying, grilling, braising, roasting, even baking. The sides are high enough to use it as a chicken fryer or for stirfry. I can check how bacon is frying through the glass lid, minimizing spatter, if any. The temperature control is accurate and the pan heats up quickly, unlike my electric stovetop. In fact, you can get a perfect simmer by turning the knob down just till the light goes out. Also nothing sticks to it. The only two things you have to remember are: 1)spray it with Pam or some other cooking spray the first time you use it (just the first time), and 2)to maintain the nonstick coating, never soak it in water for extended periods (you won't need to soak it, it cleans up fast and easy). I really like this skillet and recommend it highly. I bought it in February and have used it regularly ever since.
NOTE: It is now May 2008 and I still use this electric skillet at least once or twice a week. It has held up beautifully and still looks new. I have to tighten the leg screws now and then but I'm not complaining. I would give this pan six stars if I could.
NOTE: It is now October 2008 and we still use this skillet a couple of times per week at least. It takes about 3 minutes to clean after it cools. I can cook just about anything in it. I like its temperature accuracy and the quick control I have over the heat. I use it all the time.
NOTE: It's now February 2009, and two years since I bought this skillet. I still use it at least once a week and it is holding up just fine. Other than tightening the leg/handle screws now and then, it works as well as the day I received it.
NOTE: It's now January 2010 and the skillet is still going strong. No problems with it at all. We use it every weekend for egg & pancake breakfasts with all the trimmings.

I have owned at least three electric skillets so far, and while they all had their nice little features (one had a thingie to hold the lid, another had a low-profile for storage, etc.), NONE of them were as high quality as the Presto 16" skillet. The non-stick coating is far superior to Teflon. So far I have only used a flexible, gentle nylon spatula on it, (OXO Good Grips 65191 Nylon Flexible Turner), but the way that the food behaves when on the cooking surface is wonderful. Even eggs don't stick!This skillet cooks the most evenly of any I've ever used. The center is a little bit cooler than the edges, due to the placement of the heating element. However, the majority of the skillet heats evenly, and makes the BEST hashbrowns (and stir fry, and fried rice) ever. Things don't burn as easily in this skillet, and yet the response to heat adjustments is very quick. I love knowing that the glass lid isn't releasing dioxins into the condensation which collects on it to be dripped back down into the food.
My only beefs with this model are: a lack of rubber feet to prevent sliding (although it doesn't slide around much when full of food), and the glass lid doesn't have a vent. (So far, though, I've done mostly lid-less cooking, so it's a moot point.)
In short: an Excellent Quality skillet in a size that will feed my growing family (six with one on the way), with room left over. I have a feeling we might be ordering a second model so we can cook breakfast all in one fell swoop (one for hashbrowns or pancakes, and one for eggs & bacon). Even if you don't think you need something this big for just one or two people, it's wonderful to be able to cook or fry things with plenty of room to spare. Not a lot of frills, but does the job better than any I've seen.
If you're wondering which skillet to buy, wonder no more. This is the one.

I bought the Presto 16-inch electric skillet with glass cover(06852) on 8/24/06 from Amazon.com. I was very satisfied with this product until yesterday when it was being used to heat chicken on the Warm setting. Without warning the cover exploded, spraying glass from the center of the cover everywhere. If I had been standing near it at the time I could have been seriously injured. I checked on the Internet and discovered that other people have experienced the same problem with other glass covered electric cookware. We use an electric skillet about 3x's a week. So, this Presto skillet was used on a regular basis. The concept is great...to be able to use the skillet to serve in...is a nice plus. It's attractive enough to put on the table for family dinners. But, the coating began to flake off after about 3 months. The skillet heats quickly and the thermostat was precise. I just wish these manufacturers could get this non-stick coating to STAY ON the skillet. Non-stick is a great plus in a electric frypan...but, I'm looking for Calphalon to introduce an electric skillet. This was my last purchase...i've gone through about 6 different skillets. Buy Sunbeam Royal Elegance Microplush Throw
Amazon rules! The only positive thing I can say about this particular Sunbeam electric throw is that it is indeed made of microplush fabric. The prominence of the wiring is atrocious. Imagine putting the contents of the trans-Atlantic telephone cable in a 50" X 60" throw blanket. For me, the 3 hour auto shut-off is a pain. If I had no other choice but to order this one again, I wouldn't pay more than half of it's selling price. Trust me, in the future, I will physically put my hands on the next electric blanket/throw I purchase.
It's icky, slimy feeling polyester, but what am I gonna do? Dislike that.
It's a very convenient size if I wanted a full-on blanket size, that's what I would have bought. I'm thankful for this convenient size. Like that.
The plug is in a most awkward position (several inches away from the blanket's border/edge) in addition to the cord being toooooo short, so it's very annoying to try and get situated and comfy while staying on that short leash. REALLY Hate that.
It's only warm towards the middle and has too much non-heated space. Hate that, too.
All in all it's only OK as in "better than nothing". It's even better than OK if used on top of a cotton lap blanket to help insulate against the cold air that seeps in through the unheated areas of the heated throw. Eh, what?
BUT...It's a very beautiful, rich IVY green color. Love that.

* Control not as easy to set as the Sunbeam, but OK
* Cost $20 less than Sunbeam [I asked the gift giver]
Would have returned Sunbeam, even before having received 2nd as gift, but others had noted difficulties with return process.
Will see how the 2 compare after washing and how they endure upon use, but wish I had returned the Sunbeam throw.

I bought this for the intention of a non-pressurized 5L keg use. I have to say, pain in the rear from the start. First unit arrived with no damage and look clean. I flushed the hoses and performed all start-up maintenance with the little mini-kegerators. After initializing the CO2 cartridge. All CO2 was pushing through the valve stem into the mini-keg. Pressurizing the keg and not the beer. Called manufacture and they told me that this was a known product defect and to send back. By the way, I could see why EdgeStar has a bad customer service repoire. I received the unit in 10 days to find that it was a refurbished unit. Rust on the faucet handle and scrapes inside the housing. Stainless steel not layered in a clean plastic for protection. Dead give away. Unit in fact, this time time pour when faucet was completely vertical. Checked the valve screw and was in as far as can be. Called customer service and they refunded without sending out another unit. DO NOT BUY. I don't have any suggestions for a better mini-kegerator. If you like to gamble, then by all means give it a shot.

I got this as a gift from my mother-in-law and set it up, instructions that come with it are very vague and poorly written for what is there, I figured it out, let it cool for about a day, and this thing is noisy, runs hot as it left my granite counter with a black mark under it due to this, finally dropped a pressurized mini keg of new castle into it, door would not close unless I removed plastic top off of new castle keg, no instructions on how to tap the pressurized kegs in manual, just says it will and shows the correct adapter, okay no worries, did just that and the tap just leaks the beer, tried the 2nd pressurized adapter it includes, and leaks more beer, tried to call customer service throughout the day and you get directed to voicemail during all business hours, got on website for live chat, after 5 min someone says hello but I type questions and get pre responses back.... I am a homebrewer and after brewing for about a year I decided to invest in a mini keg system. I needed something small since i didn't have room for a full kegging system. I wanted a system that would force carbonate my homebrew. That is what this machine is supposed to do. IT DOES NOT!When the unit arrived i was like a kid at Christmas. It looked good and setup was easy. I already had a mini keg of my cherry stout ready. I installed the keg, turned on the co2 and waited. I gave it 24 hours and tried it. Nothing not a drip. I checked the connections and chalked it up to my eagerness and decided to give it more time. I gave it a week. NOTHING! I changed the co2. Nothing! I replaced my uncarbed keg with one that was carbonated with corn sugar. It was able to dispense with the tap on the keg but when i connected it. NOTHING! i gave it 24 hours. it did manage to dispense a half glass of foam.
I had really high hopes and I am very disappointed.

FK24 Fireplace Blower Kit for Majestic, Vermont Castings, Monessen Reviews
Great blower. Lot of air movement. Easy to install. Quiet running. Would recommend is blower to anyone looking to purchase.
I may still measure my blower and they told me they custom build their units so I may give that another try.
First, get yourself six 10-24 nuts with attached lock washers. The kit includes two 10-32 nuts which are incorrect.
My fireplace had studs already mounted for easy assembly. Just bolt up the fan, speed adjuster, and heat sensor. I was disappointed that the heat sensor had such a high temp setting to kick on that i just bypassed it and I just turn the fan on with a wall switch.

Ordered the same FK24 model number referenced in my owners manual but it was "way oversized" for replacing the broken blower in my fireplace. I was provided with a prompt refund however and they did try to help me with my needs.I may still measure my blower and they told me they custom build their units so I may give that another try.

Mine came with instructions, as well an my gas fireplace also had instructions.First, get yourself six 10-24 nuts with attached lock washers. The kit includes two 10-32 nuts which are incorrect.
My fireplace had studs already mounted for easy assembly. Just bolt up the fan, speed adjuster, and heat sensor. I was disappointed that the heat sensor had such a high temp setting to kick on that i just bypassed it and I just turn the fan on with a wall switch.

Best World Marketing/Kozy World Model # KWN321 Wall Heater - Natural Deals
I have one of these to heat up a space that is pretty drafty, solid stone little living area. Wood is free on my land (lots of dead trees) but I wanted something that would be positive, not negative for ventilation. (Wood burns, needs air, air goes up chimney, cold outside air comes into house, repeat.). So I put this backed up after sealing the fireplace as soon as the temperature drops enough.
This heater works great. My notes are:
1.) First firing: this will get hot and you'll smell a strange smell. That's normal, you are smelling the coatings used to protect it.
2.) After hooking it up, you *are* going to have air in the line. So be patient with starting as it needs to purge since the pilot uses hardly anything. You only have so much life in that ignitor.
3.) Get the fan unit. It's worth it. The grease in the bearings seems to wear out; after the 3rd year I had to remove it and use some 3-in-1 on the bearing. (barely moving/slow to speed up when cold). So if wall-mounting this, do so with the mindset that in a few years you may need to take it off again.
4.) You *can* make this portable if you get an LP gas regulator (similar to one used on RV's, visit a shop or look online) and good rubber LP hose. Just use common sense and get a length so the tank and hose are not near nor routed near anything where they can get hot.
5.) The feet shouldn't cost that much, but they do, and are flimsy to boot so watch out; don't over-tighten, don't leave them loose, use oversized nylon washers if you got 'em laying around somewhere. After one started to crack I made my own set out of rolling casters and metal legs from an old desk chair that was trash-bound. Bad mold design and brittle (when cold) for lateral movement, could've been avoided with "X" inserts. If you aren't moving it much for cleaning or anything, they'll do.
6.) The ceramic will get brittle with age and moisture. Ceramic is fragile.
7.) If you have a ceiling fan set it to the winter setting, this thing pumps out lots of hot air via convection as well as radiant heat.
8.) If you wall mount this, when not in use my advice is to shut off the gas to it completely (after that, let the pilot run out) and put a cover over it. If portable and disconnected, just throw a large trashbag over/around it and stuff a little bit of plastic in the gas inlet. Mounted or portable, anything to keep moisture, dust, bugs etc. out; spiders will hole up everywhere.
9.) For an idea of fuel usage: I ran this test twice. First for burn-in in a garage, second just for the heck of it the next year. I hooked this up to a 20lb (5 gal) propane tank (filled by someone in front of me, you only get 4 gallons in the "exchange" ones at stores) and let 'er rip till it ran out. I got just a hair under 24 hours of continuous use. At anywhere between $2-$4 per gallon for LP (depending on where you live), you can do the math, but roughly this will be hitting your wallet within the range of $0.75/hr. That's for the 30k BTU, but I don't really think it's truly 30k. Maybe when it's operating in 70f ambient; the ceramics don't really get to optimum temp at *really* cold temperatures.
Definitely worth the price, definitely a solid unit. If you take care of it this will bring warmth into your heart and home for a long time.
While heater is inexpensive, plumber bill was $545 to hook it to gas line with 20ft of flexible gas hose and all the fittings required, including those to connect to heater. Pilot lit at first "click" and heater operates at three settings: 6,000, 18,000 and 30,000 btu. The settings light independent burner elements and instructions say NOT to try to operate between settings.
Don't buy the advertised feet for floor setting. Gas hookup is vertical thru bottom and extends about 6 inches out of bottom (with required sediment sump and shutoff valve). I used two 8x8x16 concrete blocks ($1.42 each) which work fine for basement.
What instructions don't say is that carbon dioxide (CO2)is a principal product of natural gas combustion. I bought the SUPCO IAQ50 co2 meter(on Amazon) and the Kidde KN-COPP-3 carbon monoxide (CO) meter. Heater may produce CO (a stealth killer)when not burning properly. CO meter has not budged....reading zero at startup and zero 5 hours later. However, carbon dioxide reading went from 465 parts per million (ppm) at startup to 3,668 ppm after 5 hours on highest output. I read on internet OSHA max for residential house is 5,000ppm, 30,000ppm make most sick and 40,000 ppm = get the hell outta there. CO2 meter is about 8 ft from heater, out of line of sight.
According to owner's booklet, water vapor output is about 1 ounce per 1,000 btu of gas input. So, when burning 30,000 btus per hour, you are putting 30 ounces of water into the air per hour. On two separate hygrometers about 8 ft from heater relative humidity at 61F was 40% before start. After 5 hours on HI, it was 50% at 70F. Doesn't bother me because I have a dehumidifier to the side of the heater if I want to bring humidity down.
CO2 is a concern to me. I'll be keeping an eye on the meter (which sounds an alarm if a set ppm is exceeded). I think this heater is too big for a small room, while it heats my office space in an open 2,500 sq ft basement just fine. I turned it off at 70 F because CO2 was over 3,600 ppm and I was warm enough.
JAN 4, 2012 FOLLOW-UP: It was 13F with 20mph wind outside this morning and 58F in basement. Turned heater on full blast when CO2 meter read 456 ppm. Two hours later, office space was 69F with CO2 at 1895 ppm. After 10 hours on highest setting, office space at 71F, CO2 at 3090 ppm. Temp at other end of basement, about 40 feet from heater, is 68F. Water vapor not a problem. Relative humidity at 30% after 10 hours on high. Carbon monoxide meter has not budged off zero. CO2 no longer concerns me. Pilot lights on first click every time. I love this heater for its intended purpose. Now 5 stars from me.
One thing that is nice to know is that the lowest setting on this uses 7,000 BTU's, so plan accordingly. Get the right size for your room, do not get a larger one just because it is only $20 more or so.
Installation is easy, they give you all the screws, and you can even hang it only on sheetrock if you have no studs available. It only weighs 29lbs or so.
No gas line is included with this, and the input size thread is 3/8".
Our house actually had 1 gas log natural gas heater, but we needed another one to heat the other side of the house. After a lot of investigation, I chose the Kozy World KWN321 because it had a great price for a vent-free natural gas heater that had a lot of BTUs (30,000). Also, I measured carefully, and it fit perfectly into the other fireplace we had but which had been without a heater in it when we moved in.
We just recently received it and have had a few very cold days (at least cold to us down in Texas). This heater has worked beautifully! It's easy to use, starts putting out heat immediately, and provides heat for a large portion of the house if we leave it on high. It even got the house so warm that I had to turn it down off of high and down to medium, and then low. The 3 different settings allow you to use only as much energy as you want. I haven't had time to check my gas bill yet, but I know it will be a lot cheaper than my electricity bill at this time last year.
The Kozy World KWN321 is a great long-term investment if your house has a place for a vent-free natural gas heater. I highly recommend it, especially if you want to save on your winter energy bills year after year.

The water vapor could make real problems in your house so you have to be careful about this. These heaters also burn the little dust particles in your air so the room will start to smell a little. I am certain there is also a little bit of CO, or carbon monoxide but I have used this heater for a year and similar ones for years and have never had a problem. I do have a CO monitor in the room where this heater operates but it always reads 0.0.

On my 4th day with heater set up in a 2,500 sq ft open basement. Heater throws plenty of heat, radiant and convective. This time of year, basement is about 61F with no heat. Most I have run heater is 5 hours at full blast and two thermometers about 8 ft away and out of line of sight (radiant works) registered 70F. I bought a few books on weatherproofing your house, and as I read these books I realized that since we moved into an old 3000 square foot house 18 months ago our electricity bills have been through the roof both in the summer and winter months.Our house actually had 1 gas log natural gas heater, but we needed another one to heat the other side of the house. MAX Fan Heater - White Review

It's absolutely great looking: hip, sharp and whimsical. Everyone in my architecture firm wanted one when it was delivered. But I bought it for a room in my home with a fireplace but without central heat. Sadly, it's much, much less powerful than the much less attractive ceramic heater I bought at Costco for 1/3 the price. It also off-gases really toxic-smelling fumes for several hours after you turn it on, so be prepared to put in a very well-ventilated place to begin with. (I had to plug it in outdoors.)
It still deserves rave reviews for its looks, but I'm swapping out the ugly black electric cord it came with for a white one...
Bizarre controls. I can't believe I needed to read the instructions for a device this basic.
While the heating element turns on consistently, the fan is less reliable. I can tell when this happens by the terrible smell it emits, at which point I run over and unplug it.
This thing could rock in Texas or Florida but would be little more than an ornamental decoration in most of the Mid-West.
Needless to say this thing is on its way back to the store !
The little MAX Fan Heater is a very cute and modern looking gadget. I think the retail price of $100 is too high because it is really just useful as a personal fan or heater-its not powerful enough to heat or cool even a small room.
However-if you have any menopausal co-workers (I can say this because I qualify!)-this would be perfect for their cubicle when they are fighting the constant " its too hot, too cold syndrome"!
One more drawback to this product is that it gives off a powerful odor when first used as a heater. I haven't had it long enough to determine if the smell dissipates over time.

Paid a premium for its looks but as most things pretty, this one fails to deliver ! Construction quality looked cheap for the price. Even with the heat control set to the highest setting and the thermostat control set to Max , the heater barely moved the temperature in our living room (about 150 sqft) with ambient temperatures of around 60* F.This thing could rock in Texas or Florida but would be little more than an ornamental decoration in most of the Mid-West.

I was very excited to receive this really nice looking product, but unfortunately after 1 week of use broke down and I've now to send it back... Very good looking but it does not really warm up the air so much because the air is warm but not hot when the heater is in action on 1500W AND worse it broke down after one week... Best Breezaire WKL-2200 Wine Cellar Cooling Unit -Max Room Size Deals
Mine is cooling a converted closet with about 700 bottles in it. The unit has worked fine for well over 12 years with only one recharge of coolant. A fan just went out so I'm replacing the whole unit after this long rather than start replacing parts.

Breezaire WKL-2200 Wine Cellar Cooling Unit -Max Room Size = 265 cu ft: Had a model WK1060 installed in 12/01. It ran 6 mos and but couldn't keep a 65 cu ft wine room cold enough (58 to 60 degrees F). In 6/02, the Company replaced it, free of charge, with a WK2200 (advertised as good for up to 265 cu ft) and that unit ran well for about 5 years. In 2008 the unit started to run 24/7 in order to hold the room temp at about 60 degrees F. Note that the wine room was specifically designed for its intended purpose (special insulation, vapor barrier, thermo door full seal gasket on 3 sides and a drop gasket for the floor), red wood bins designed for good circulation). In 2/12 the unit gave up and would no longer cool. It would seem that a refrigeration unit, as supposedly oversized as this one, should give you good service for longer than 9 years. But, since the installation hole is sized for this unit, i am going to replace it with the essentially the same thing the WKL 2200. Work well for the first ten days and then a sensor went bad. I had to go through weeks of back and forth with the company trying various fixes they suggested. I've had my existing Breezaire 2200 for 25 years and it has worked like a champ. I have not needed to do any maintenance to it. It is still cooling but the thermostat does not seem to be working because it runs constantly. I've been very happy with my Breezaire; it keeps my 6'x6'x6' cellar the perfect temp.
