This heater is phenomenal and for only 43.00 bucks! I have a kitchen and 2 large rooms downstairs, this heater heats all three rooms nice and toasty. I come home from work, turn the heater on and the whole downstairs is warm within 15 minutes. I don't understand the people that gave this poor reviews. It's very pretty and it does a heck of a job heating up even large spaces. The odor that comes from it comes from all heaters including my baseboard heat when 1st turned on for the winter. The smell from this heater goes away after a few uses.

This heater has a timer feature, oscillate on/off, hi/low settings and temp. settings from 60 to 85 in 5 degree increments. No remote, but seriously do you want to pay an extra 10 bucks to have a remote for your heater?!! Seriously!!! Also I like this heater so much I'm getting 2 more for the basement and bedroom. Instead of having my baseboard heat all the way up to 74-76 in the winter I have it set to 68 and just have the Lasko on. That's all I need.

Also, forgot to mention this heater is whisper quiet. No louder than a purr!

I had a different Lasko space heater for a few months before this one. all the power settings and wattage are the same, but this one performs much better. I appreciate the smaller size and pleasant aesthetic design of the 6405.

This one heats the whole room, where the other one was very directional in it's heating. I like that it has a variety of thermostat settings, and you can keep it plugged in when it is not in use. I thought I would miss not having a remote control, but it turns out to be a non-issue.

I highly recommend the Lasko 6405.

I waited until after I had used this an entire winter before writing a review. I admit that my house is kept pretty cool because of the expense of the propane we use to heat it, which over the previous three years averaged just over $3100/yr. I used this heater in the living/dining/kitchen area (about 500 sq.ft.) during the day while I was up and about and left the thermostat for the entire house at 55 degrees 24/7. At the end of the year my heating bill was down $1600 and the electric was up $140. And this past winter was colder than usual! I've already talked my sister and my niece into buying one of these.

The unit heats a very large master bedroom in less than 15 min. and its immediate surroundings in about 5 minutes (no kidding). I have another one, a Garrison tower, which I use in another room and it is nothing near the efficiency of this one and I had paid the same price.

Was expensive as it does not sell in Canada so had to pay shipping, etc. But so so stylish! Like no other. Matches my Tuscan décor perfectly! But was concerned I was paying for the style. Thank goodness it is AS EFFICIENT AS IT IS STYLISH.

This little heater is mighty. We live in a 900 ft apartment and when this heater is on the furnace doesn't work near as hard. I do wish I had bought the same heater with remote control though. Looks good too.

Based on the only 2 reviews available at the time, I was willing to take a chance due to the price. Unfortunately, the second reviewer was more closely accurate to my experience. We tried this waffle maker on 3 separate occasions and each time the waffles were cooked in the center but uncooked at the edges. Uneven cooking is the major complaint but expectations are that evenly cooked waffles is the prime job of a waffle maker. Bells and whistles mean nothing if the waffles are badly prepared. The best I can say is that after 3 uses they released fine...no sticking...but what they released was inedible at best. Turns out the heating element is very small and heat doesn't conduct through the thin aluminum casting. It heats only the area covered by the element. Needs a larger element or better conductors. I'm scrapping it for a much pricier model...Calphalon No-Peek Waffle Maker...also available on Amazon. We've only used it once but OMG...it's incredible. After a few more uses, I'll be willing to review it.

The waffle maker is unforgiving when it comes to the amount batter you put in. Too much and it's making a mess, too little and there are gaping holes in the waffles.

Also, the machine has hot spots. Each side of the waffle maker has a spot where the waffles start to burn before the edges are fully cooked.

I've used this waffle maker four times now and tried two different waffle batter recipes. They were "okay" at best. Better than frozen waffles from the grocery store, but nowhere near the restaurant-quality I was hoping for.

I generally don't purchase "one function only" appliances, as they inevitably end up in my appliance graveyard. However, it seemed like a fun holiday activity for the children and their cousins so I risked the ten bucks and bought it. Technically, it performed the basic task of making waffles, but the heating is very uneven so if we wished to avoid burnt middles, we ended up with the doughey corner that had to be discarded. If you add enough batter to prevent holes, it overflows onto the counter. In short, the kids had fun with the waffles, they put blueberries in the holes, so it was probably worth the effort. Unfortunately, the iron probably will not even merit a stop at the appliance grave yard.

My husband bought this for me for Christmas and if I hadn't threw away the box, I would have returned it. It does not brown the waffles evenly and I broke the little (plastic) latch the first time I used it. Terrible product!!

This is a terrible product!!! Yes, the price is nice but if you use it often it will not last long. It does not cook evenly, can be very messy if you use just a little too much batter, and eventually will start smelling like chemical when you use it. That's what made me toss it in the garbage. The only bonus to this waffle iron was it made perfect size waffles for my toaster so I could make large batches and freeze them for a quick breakfast.

Probably better options out there than $120 for a simple timer and thermostat but I didn't want to spend a ton of money on new setup so fixed what I had.

If you need to replace yours this is as good a place as any to get it. Leslie's wanted over $400 for a whole new box, they wouldn't sell just the internals. Came as quickly as I paid extra to receive it next day and worked out of the box in just 10 min to swap out the old one.

But there is one down side witch is not a big deal but when ever you touch a button on the remote or on the face of the heater, it makes a loud PEEP. But other wise this heater is perfect.

I purchased this heater to provide heat to a room that my daughter receives therapy in. Because she receives phototherapy, as much skin as possible has to be exposed and it is important that the room is warm. Unfortunately, after having the heater professionally installed and with a direct line to prevent any overloads, it will not heat the room. It turns on, but I believe the heating element is near the thermostat so the temperature showing spikes into the 90's and then the unit shuts off. I emailed the seller and got no response. I spent a great deal of money on something that does not work.

Lux LV1 is a reasonably priced line voltage "Heat Only" thermostat. I ordered the product and it shipping very quickly. The instructions that ship with the device are "limited". But given the simplicity of the device, this should not be a concern. The installation went off with a hitch. I installed the device into a standard single gang electrical box. The device is functioning as expected, which is when the room temperature drops below a pre set value, say 65 degrees, the themostat supplies 120 VAC power to the target load. In my situation, this is a ceiling mounted / fan based electric heater. I have not performed any exacting testing to determine how accurate the thermostat is compared to the actual room temperature. But I suspect it will be sufficient for my application. +/2 degrees. I'll post an update if it falls outside of my tolerance levels.

I needed a line voltage thermostat so I could use it as a replacement on a small baseboard heater, I installed in my workshop. I did not want to use one that mounted inside the wall heater. I bought this as a replacement for my aging wall heaters. I found it to be a very well made bi-metal switching thermostat. It looks nice on the wall, is easily cleaned, and installation was a snap. All the material you will need comes with the device and it has a well written instruction pamphlet. The only negative issue seen was the scale on the thermostat is not accurate to temperature. But, the LV1 does hold the temperature at a controlled level without over-cycling the heater on and off too quickly.

one thing to keep in mind with any heating blanket, make sure you don't walk on it, crawl on it, or what not, because the heating coils inside the blanket can break very easy, which means less and less of your blanket will heat up. take care of this blanket and it will take care of you.

I purchased this blanket to pre heat my bed at night before getting into it during the winter. So far, I have not been disappointed. The blanket is a nice heavy weight, which I prefer and warms up quick. It is a pretty good quality compared to other electric blankets I have had in the past. The down side is the blanket is not as fluffy or thick as it appears in the picture, though this does not bother me, but would be good to know. It also doesn't have the satin edge, that many blankets of this variety tend to have, which may be a down side for some, but I find not to be a negative.

After having this blanket for two months, it is NO good. Seriously, I had to keep hiking up the temperate to even be able to feel the heat from my blanket. At first when it was on 3, I would feel a nice warmth, now on warm, I could barely feel anything last night. That's not good. In the picture you see a nice flush, warm looking blanket but what I got was an itchy, uncomfortable full of WIRE blanket. I honestly would like to have my money back because I feel like it was wasted. Do not buy.

We had been using a Sunbeam electric for years and it finally decided to give up the ghost. We had been looking for a new electric blanket for some time when we saw this one at about half the price of the others. We ordered it and it arrived within just a few days . . . much quicker than we had expected. We weren't really expecting much based on the price, but when we opened the box and put in on the bed and tried it out . . . it was way beyond our highest expectations: very soft and comfortable (even without the heat), heated quickly and evenly (10 heat settings and a 10 hour auto shutoff), dual controls so we each have our own comfort levels. I bought this to keep people from turning the heat up. I thought it was working well until I noticed it was getting warmer! I checked the thermostat and to my suprise it was turned UP!! I asked around and found out that someone had simply "popped off" the lid! The lid is NOT fastened to the back part of the box! It comes apart in two pieces and the person popped off the cover at the top where it's not fastened together! I am not happy at all! I did not buy this from amazon but wanted to warn everyone! I paid $19 for this piece of junk and am taking it back to the store where I bought it! My advice is to look for one that is one whole piece-so the lid does not come off from the back!

IT'S A PIECE OF JUNK... unless you're using it to guard against children since they're not strong enough to pop off the top!

I bought several of these for work (too many people thinking the temperature needed adjusting). They were easily installed and covered the 5 different types of thermostats more than adequately. I'd read a review that said the locks are shoddy, but did not find this true with my purchase. The way they are made prevents paperclips or nail files from being used to circumvent the cover. Exactly what was needed!

I just installed this heater a couple of days ago and have been using it the last two nights. Here are my thoughts on it: Installation instructions and operation manual are pretty straight forward. As is the install not a big deal. Only trouble I had was that the gas port on the bottom comes with a metal plug in it (to keep moisture out of the heater while it is being stored in the warehouse) and it was a bit tight to get out. A hex key came with the heater for plug removal but I had to put a 'cheater' on the hex key to get a little more leverage.

I have run it the last couple of nights and here is what I found: it only got down to the low 40's (Fahrenheit) here so I put the dial on "2" and the heater would not kick on until my room temperature dropped to about 68 degrees. It stays on until the temperature hits 70 and then it shuts off and the pilot light remains on. When the heater is running and generating heat it makes a small "shushing" sound that I find is pleasant white noise.

To sum up: I like this heater, it does a good job of zone heating for my bedroom and I recommend it.

I have a larger one of these and I really like it. I like this one as well, but I really want to see ProCom make a fan for it and include it in the price of this unit. The main reason being "It really would help to have the fan in it." It puts out heat very well, but you need something to help circulate it. So I use a a standing fan or something else to help move it around. They should at least offer a unit with a built in fan, even if it cost a good chunk more. If you're looking for good quick heat and heat that doesn't cost an arm and a leg, then you found what you want. Just make sure to get a small fan to help move the heat around.
