Lux WP9000TS Thermostat Wallplate Reviews
I bought this to go along with the matching touch screen thermostat, heavily influenced by the positive reviews saying that it looks great. Well, it looks ok. But it makes an already pretty large thermostat even larger, and stand out more, and to me the color isn't quite the same as the thermostat, either.
don't hesitate to buy this if you need it to cover up something from the previous install (like if your last thermostat was even bigger or you are trying to slightly move it from previous spot), this does what it was designed to do.
Otherwise, skip it.

I purchased the Lux TX9000TS to replace an older unit that had been vertically mounted. Wasn't sure if the new unit was going to be big enough to cover the old hole. Turns out it was, but I had already ordered this wallplate just in case. Even though it wasn't needed, I wanted to see how it looked. The thermostat already looked great, but the wallplate made the touchscreen stand out and look even better!!! I likened it to a picture frame. Sure, a picture in a frame looks good... but adding a matt to the frame makes it stand out and look sharp! Shipping was free and fast. $2 well spent in my book!Best Deals on Lux WP9000TS Thermostat Wallplate
Our house has plaster walls. After my husband removed the old thermostat, the new Lux thermostat did not cover part of the hole left by the previous thermostat. This wallplate is a cheap way to cover the gaping hole. It was very easy to install. Love it!Honest reviews on Lux WP9000TS Thermostat Wallplate
This wall plate adds a finishing touch to a LUX programmable thermostat. It was relatively inexpensive and a detail that is well worth it. By the way, the thermostat is great, easy to use and install.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Lux WP9000TS Thermostat Wallplate
This thing is worth the money. It makes the whole unit look better in my opinion. Also it costs so little, why not?Sunday, December 14, 2014

We needed a manual thermostat and this one had all the features we wanted: heat/cool; auto or on fan. Wiring instructions were easy to follow. It works great and is accurate.
I had to buy a different unit to put in my apartment because my apartment complex installed this cheap one. I did buy a Honeywell, but this is just the bottom of the barrel. Spend a few bucks more and get something you can actually use efficiently.

The controls are very touchy to say the least, but it works like a charm for my rental house. I would recommend it for simple control.Best Deals on Honeywell YCT51N1008 Standard Heat/Cool Manual Thermostat
You can't really tell what temp it is in your house or what temp you are moving the bar to. The way the spaces are between the number reading and the bar is just bad. It's hard to explain, but I'm not the only one in the house with this same problem. You just have to guess and move the bar until you hear the a/c turn on with no idea of what temp you just set it to or what temp it is.I had to buy a different unit to put in my apartment because my apartment complex installed this cheap one. Honest reviews on Honeywell YCT51N1008 Standard Heat/Cool Manual Thermostat
I always found Honeywell products to be reliable I was dissappointed with this thermostat. There is four to five degrees diffenence from the temperature it turns the fireplace on and when it shuts off. And on occassion it sticks and doesn't shut off until I tap the thermostate or shut it off manually. We turn the thermostat off when we leave home because of the poor reliability of the thermostat. Our previous thermostat was digital and a different brand, but we could set it for a certain temperature and the temperature did not vary over 1 degree and we never had to manually turn it off. I would not recommend this thermostat.Friday, October 10, 2014

We bought this item originally as an inexpensive, alternative heat source in the Winter, when we can lose electricity for hours, even days, when a bad storm rolls through.
It quickly became our main heat source -as unlike the two, 15,000 btu, electric space heaters we'd been using -this can heat a cold room within 30 minutes. And, all by itself, heats the entire house better than those two other heaters running together. And we only once turned it to the third setting. It usually stays on 1.
To clarify, we live in a very small space: 750 square feet in a very old, single-wide, with windows that no longer seal well. The weather here is moderately cold -we drop into the teens rarely, but stay solidly in the mid 20s-early 30s at night in winter. Days stay in the 30s. With the exception of if we have one of those storms, then all bets are off.
We ran this, with a little supplementary electrical heat during the day -I suspect if we'd got the 30,000 btu one, it would have heated the house completely, even on the colder days.
We don't run it at night, as it's in the living room. And because we're a little chicken of running propane when we sleep. But, in the morning, it brings the room quickly back to toasty -never more than 30 mins.
We installed it ourselves -with a bit of help from my uncle. Runs with two 50 lb=10 gal tanks. One tank lasts just about a week in the colder weather, and costs $24 to fill. So it's only a hundred a month -half what our heating bill was last year.
Last year, even with 3, electric, 15,000 btu heaters running, the house was never as toasty warm as it is with this propane heater.
Only note: If you use the tanks, only turn the knob slightly on. We found it eats through propane quicker if turned fully on. But has no apparent ill effect if the tank is only barely turned on.
And?
The blue flames are just lovely. :)
Highly recommended!
My only complaint on this heater is that the built in fan doesn't move any air. I'm not even sure why they put it in there, because it really doesn't do anything. I just bought a separate fan to circulate the air and have been pleased with it.
Puts out lots of heat! I'm very happy with mine.

This has been a good little heater for me so far, I am using to heat a fish house. I'm not sure about the review stating that it need to be professionally installed though, to connect it to a 20 lbs cylinder (BBQ tank) you need buy a separate house with a regulator. It is available through Mr. Heater, part # F273072 (12' Propane Hose/Regulator Assembly), I purchased this at my local hardware store. My only complaint on this heater is that the built in fan doesn't move any air. I'm not even sure why they put it in there, because it really doesn't do anything. I just bought a separate fan to circulate the air and have been pleased with it.

I recently installed this unit in my two car attached garage. I ran black pipe through the wall and attached it to a 20lb LP tank from my grill until I can get a bigger tank. The unit puts out good heat. It comes on at full so dont think you can adjust the output. But what it does do is bring the room up to temp then cycle off per the thermostat. Has some odor but I think that will disapate as it ages and burns off any newness. Battery operated ignition works very well. The only fault I find is the fan. It appears big enough but does not move a lot of air, design flaw perhaps. What it does do well is cycle on and off on it's own if you put it on the auto setting, good feature. I have not had it long enough to determin the gas usage, have my fingers crossed on that one. Overall I am very pleased as it out performs my electric ceiling mounted heater as well as a 23000 btu kerosene heater.Honest reviews on Mr. Heater 20,000 BTU Propane Blue Flame Vent Free Heater
I have one of these heaters that I bought locally. If you want to connect it to a BBQ type jug you have to buy a hose and regulator. This is no big deal and anyone that has ever turned a wrench can hook this up.Puts out lots of heat! I'm very happy with mine.

We are full-time rver's. Had a Glo Warm 10k propane heater for 14 years in our old 33 1/2' 5th wheel trailer. Worked great. Bought a new 38 1/2' 5th wheel. The old heater just didn't provide enough heat in sub-freezing weather. This Mr Heater 20k is great. Heats the whole place to comfortable very quickly. The fan is adequate (old heater didn't have a fan, so hard to compare). Best product for the priceMr. Heater 20,000 BTU Propane Blue Flame Vent Free Heater #VF20KBLUELPMonday, August 4, 2014

Buy Medi-Fridge Micro Refrigerator
The Good:
The materials are excellent quality. The device has space for six vials of insulin which is plenty. It is March and I haven't used the device in hot weather, but the insulin has been kept cool. The operative word is cool not cold. Ambient temperatures are in high 60's and insulin is at mid-50's temperature. I wonder whether it will work in hot weather.
The power supply will work worldwide, and there is an adapter that runs in an automotive cigar lighter socket.
The Bad:
The device is noisy. I can't sleep with it in the room. It is really noisy. And it never shuts off. It runs 24 hours a day no matter what the external temperature. The device is rated at 15 Watts. This is a lot of power for so little cooling.
The Ugly:
The plastic and construction is good quality, but it looks like an expensive coffin. Somebody has a sense of (sick) humor and flaunts that diabetics will die early. The designers of this device don't want their customers to forget it.

Discount Mr. Heater MH75KT Forced Air Kerosene Heater
My heater arrived yesterday. One of the warmer days we've had. But I wanted to use it anyway. It works nicely, BUT IT IS LOUD. My air compressor can not even drown out the noise, but I will get used to it as I do wear ear protection when I operate the machines in my shop. The thermostat controlled shutdown and start-up is a plus.
I use this product in my two car garage when I service my vehicles. It puts out a lot of heat quickly. The only draw backs are it's very loud and when it first starts it will spit out some fuel on to the floor. It works good for me the way I use it. I have had it for over two years now.
Well the fan comes on the spark ignites but no flame. When looking at the fuel lines they were all cracked and almost broken in half. They must have used really crappy fuel lines as I used the correct fuel for the unit Kerosene. Looks like I wil have to take apart the unit and replace all the fuel and air lines. I would figure this would be the least of my problems fuel lines. Hell fuel lines last for decades on automobiles. Seems like they used really cheap materials on this unit. I am holding my breath to see if other parts are as crappy as the fuel/air lines.

This is a great heater, puts out alot of heat in a short amount of time . I use it in my garage, it's a little noisey , but most blower heaters are. I bought this EXACT model in 2001, and along with steaming, blanching, roasting, etc., it clearly advertises itself as a "deep fryer" of which it does an excellent job. The manual even includes full frying instructions!
If Presto has decided to now say "don't fry in this", it is strictly a legal move. The problem is that Presto's "fry daddy" line has no temperature control, and it's preset low enough so that you can't set any frying liquid on fire. But these also have no versatility.
The multi-cooker can do so much more, because you can set the temperature from "warm" to 400 degrees. This is higher than the smoke point of some frying mediums (lard and shortening in particular) and therefore IF you don't know the smoke point of what you're using, you can get in trouble. This is probably why Presto's lawyers decided to say it's not a fryer anymore, although it clearly is. I, however, will happily continue to use my multi-cooker to make great fries, fried shrimp and chicken, donuts, etc. in addition to steaming and blanching vegetables, as well as braising. It's the most versatile appliance I own!

I just got this today at Walmart for more than 1/3 off Amazon's price and it says plain and clear that it IS for frying among other things..I tried it an the temp was accurate too. IT also has one of those new magnetic type cords for saftey and you can stick all of it (the pot and lid) in the dishwasher except the cord and thermostat thing. This is a great deal! IT does the job off a fryer, steamer and a crock pot and cost less than most of them do by themselves. I tried the steamer fuction too and it works great! I highly reccomend this, Try it , you won't be dissapointed!Best Deals on Presto 06003 Options Electric Multi-Cooker/Steamer
I come from a large family, so i do a lot of cooking. This year everyone came to my house for Christmas, and not only was my mom impressed with my cooking, but also the way everything taste coming out of the steamer. She actually tried to take it home with her.... A week earlier, some of the guys came over, and my wife made her famous deep fried hot wings. The guys went nuts, especially, my brother Jarrick, he loved that there was little mess and because of the drop basket and tempature gauge, not mistakes.I'm buying one for my mom and my brother, at least that way i know i can keep my own! I gave this for a Christmas present to my wife The Cooking Fiend in 2007 and she "purely loved" it. The temperature control was the best feature. She could perfectly sear a small pot roast and braise it in the same pan. It made soup outstandingly every single week. She used it many times every week. It worked great for deep-frying bluegill too. She cleaned it occasionally in the dishwasher but usually by hand, no abrasives. Imagine our dismay when she saw the non-stick finish flaking off. She just about cried, because while some may call us flaky folks, we do not use flaky cookware. So I'm on the hunt for something more durable. What a shame!Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Presto 06003 Options Electric Multi-Cooker/Steamer
I, too, bought this cooker at Target believing it was a fryer and was disappointed that the instructions noted it was NOT a fryer. Unable to find anything I liked better (the plastic machines seem flimsy and clunky), I took the advice of the last reviewer and tried it as a deep-fryer for tofu and eggrolls. It works! The thermostat seems reliable, and it heats up quickly enough. Plus, it's dishwasher-safe and nonstick. The only disappointments include the fry-basket, which isn't optimum for draining oil and is awkward to handle with a removable pinch-handle-but I improvised with tongs. And it would be nice to have an airtight lid to store the oil-but the glass one does just fine if you change the oil occasionally. As someone who usually avoids frying foods for health reasons, this little pot allows me to cook the few fried goods I'd normally go out for as well, or even better, than how I'd get them at a restaurant-and it makes my "it-ain't-good-unless-it's-fried" husband feel like he's got a place in the kitchen.Sunday, December 1, 2013
