This product goes hand in hand with GE Defrost Heater. May not be necessary but worth getting for a little extra insurance of having things work well.

DO NOT BUY THIS PART! The thermostat fails in the continuous position causing the fridge to overheat. It is supposed to switch off around 30-40F. Instead this thermostat didn't switch off until 100F !!! Returning

Honest reviews on GE WR50X10068 Defrost Thermostat for GE Refrigerators

If you are going to the trouble of replacing the defrost heater in a GE by removing the ice maker, the light, the condenser fan, and then melting all of the ice that built up, spend the few more dollars and replace this guy at the same time! In my refrigerator, I had to cut the wires between the old thermostat and the wiring harness, then use wire nuts to put the replacement into the circuit. So, be prepared to solder and heat-shrink, use electrical tape, or use wire nuts like I did.

This part works WITH the defrost heater, so replace them both at the same time and be done with the job!

The seller shipped FAST and it arrived well-packaged.

I bought a board assembly for $135 trying to fix the defrost problem because I knew it was easy to get to. In the end the coil still froze up, so I went ahead and ordered this wasn't as hard to get to as I feared, easy to install and fixed the problem. Could have used that $100 extra for a man toy .......................

These fans are overpriced, loud pieces of cheap plastic. I had it for one night and chose to sleep with it off rather than put up with the rattling and squeeking. The plastic is so cheap it feels like it's going to break while you put it together. Funny enough, these fans do well because they're more expensive than others people assume they're the best because they're the most expensive. I highly recommend going for the $40 envirocare fan it's solid, it's quiet, and it has an air filter built in.

I purchased this fan from Amazon several months ago and it is already in the garbage. The assembly is very easy and only requires a few moments and a phillips screwdriver. Unfortunately the plastic is very flimsy and thin and does not inspire confidence in the overall quality. The fan operated very well initially and the remote control was intuitive and easy to operate. Within a few weeks, however, the fan was making high pitched squealing sounds (imagine an old fan belt on a cold winter morning). I tried all the different speeds and settings, turing off the oscillation, positioning the fan on different surfaces, etc. Nothing fixed the problem.

I've never considered myself a high-maintenance consumer, but this purchase was very disappointing. I'd recommend one of the other brands or models, though many of the oscillating tower fans seem to have this same complaint. I have had good luck with Holmes products in the past (although this model carries the Bionaire tag), but I'd like to prevent other customers from the trouble I experienced with this model. Hope this helps.

Who would have thought of the technology innovations that could be applied to fans? This model requires some assembly and you'll need to pay careful attention to the directions, which is a large folded page. Read the instructions, look carefully at the pieces, and the assembly will take less than five minutes. All you'll need is a screw driver.

The fan itself it a remarkable piece of technology, made all the more remarkable by the fact that it comes with a remote control at such a low price.

When you first operate it you'll think something's wrong because it will oscillate, stop and seem to shut down, then pick up again. This is normal, and after you get used to it you will discover that this behavior was designed to move air in the most efficient manner both from an efficient use of electricity, and from an effective pattern for moving air and keeping you cool.

The on-fan and remote controls are easy to operate and give you a great deal of control over speed, oscillation, and even timing its turn-on time. Considering the price, performance and wealth of features this is one of the best bargains you'll find and worth any price on a humid, hot Florida night when you are enjoying fresh air on your patio.

This is a good buy. A bit noisy but well worth the price. Am now using in the livingroom for when we have company. Have no problems with it and have used if for more than a year. Definitely a good buy.

The Good:

The materials are excellent quality. The device has space for six vials of insulin which is plenty. It is March and I haven't used the device in hot weather, but the insulin has been kept cool. The operative word is cool not cold. Ambient temperatures are in high 60's and insulin is at mid-50's temperature. I wonder whether it will work in hot weather.

The power supply will work worldwide, and there is an adapter that runs in an automotive cigar lighter socket.

The Bad:

The device is noisy. I can't sleep with it in the room. It is really noisy. And it never shuts off. It runs 24 hours a day no matter what the external temperature. The device is rated at 15 Watts. This is a lot of power for so little cooling.

The Ugly:

The plastic and construction is good quality, but it looks like an expensive coffin. Somebody has a sense of (sick) humor and flaunts that diabetics will die early. The designers of this device don't want their customers to forget it.

As long as you understand what this product is used for, you will love it! It is just what it says it is: a foot warmer, not a full mattress pad. The measurements are missing from the item description, which is bad marketing. The Twin/Full sized pad measures about 24x34 inches and it sits on top of your mattress pad and under the top sheet. Even though it doesn't have straps that wrap around the corners of the mattress, it doesn't move around at all. It also has nice long cords for the plug in and the controller. The controller has three settings and each setting has a different color so you can tell what the setting is without having to read the printing (very handy at night). My problem is that I can't sleep if my feet are cold and I don't like wearing socks to bed, but I don't need a full electric mattress pad or blanket. This foot warmer keeps my feet warm and I fall asleep faster. It is just what I needed.

The idea of having an electric foot warmer is wonderful and just what I need. However, the design of this product makes it almost unusable for me.

First, even on the lowest heat setting, the warmer gets so hot by the middle of the night that it is unbearable and has to be turned off. It seems not to be thermostatic. It has only 3 heat settings, not a continuously variable dial for adjusting heat.

It has no automatic shutoff.

The control to change the temperature and turn the unit off has blindingly bright lights that make my whole bedroom bright. Pushing the button successively (there is no dial) to make the unit turn off or change heat setting is VERY noisy, waking up my spouse. The control also doesn't have a flat bottom, so it won't rest in a reasonable position on the side table. The bottom is rounded for some unknown reason. No sensible person would put something like that under their pillow, so I'm not sure where the manufacturer thinks you are going to put it.

Finally, the place where the cord plugs into the warmer itself is a HUGE lump that is right in the middle of the warmer, exactly where my feet constantly hit it. Why would it have been hard to put it off the edge of the bed or off to the side of the warmer?

Unfortunately, I'm not aware of any competing product.

I bought this last year and it has worked great, although I use this as a heated pet bed and not as a foot warmer. When placed under my dog's normal bed (which is about 2-3 inches thick), it provides a very soft and subtle heat that he seems to like. He is a very large dog (~85 lbs) so to buy an actual heated pad for him would have been close to $100. The only problem is the cat now sleeps in the middle of my dog's warm and cozy bed, and my dog is too polite to do anything about it so I might need to get another one. :)

Honest reviews on Sunbeam Foot Cuddler Heated Mattress Pad

I love this product. I bought the twin size (because it was cheaper), even though I have a california king size bed. (I'm the only one in the bed.) I was used to sleeping with a heating pad or two. I agree that the description is lacking and it is a flat pad that goes under the sheets, but it works great for me, and I think that the twin size might work for 2 people. The only other thing that I would mention as a negative would be the place where the cord plugs into the pad creates a bump which might bother some people.

Update 1/2/13. The picture has been updated and now does show the correct product. I am still using my foot cuddler. It is not as warm as it once was, but it provides enough heat to keep my feet warm. I have found that any of these type of heaing products will wear out, (especially if you use them as much as I do) so I expect that I will have to buy another one soon. They never last as long as the warranty (heating pads and electric blankets). so I will have to start keeping track of the receipts, etc. (I sleep much better in the winter with the extra warmth, so I would purchase again without the warranty.) The price has gone up since I purchased my first one in December 2009. Hopefully the price will be lower in the spring.

Purchased two foot cuddlers to add a little warmth in the foot area of our beds. So far, results are so-so. We pre-heat the bed on high, then turn the controller on low or sometimes medium, which we find to be more than comfortable. There are three heat settings and no auto-shut off. We agree with the reviewer who said, "The control to change the temperature and turn the unit off has blindingly bright lights that make my whole bedroom bright. Pushing the button successively (there is no dial) to make the unit turn off or change heat setting is VERY noisy, waking up my spouse. The control also doesn't have a flat bottom, so it won't rest in a reasonable position on the side table. The bottom is rounded for some unknown reason. Finally, the place where the cord plugs into the warmer itself is a HUGE lump that is right in the middle of the (bottom edge of the) warmer, exactly where my feet constantly hit it." We find these things to be somewhat annoying, but have not found any other similar product. The picture online is wrong and the description is vague. This is a rectangular pad with rounded corners, which is 45 X 24" in the twin/full size. It just lies on top of the bed. We put ours under the mattress pad and sheet. The heating wires do not extend right to the edge; instead they stop about 2-3 inches, all around, from the edge. I'm not sure how you would use this on a twin bed, as the instructions state to NOT bend the pad/wires and a twin bed is only 39" wide. It would work well for a full-sized bed. We use one on a queen-sized, as the queen version was unavailable. The one other problem we have had is that one of the pads was heating very unevenly. Almost nothing on one side, much more on the other. For that reason and the fact that it doesn't really fit a twin-sized bed, we returned it. We have kept the one we use on the queen-sized bed, will update on reliability, if needed, in the future. At this point, would probably purchase again.

Amazon states that this heater is 25x22x16. It is just over 13 inches tall and about 10 inches in diameter. This fan is about 1/4 the size I thought it would be. I don't know how Amazon came up with the dimensions they advertise.

The grills you see extend more than halfway around the unit. They oscillate in opposite directions, but they do not move far. The base itself does not oscillate, but it does have a step switch which turns the motion on and off.

At the strongest setting, one can barely feel the hot air blowing from the grills. Air only moves from the very center of the grills. I could not tell the difference between the 3 speeds, but when I adjusted the air speed downward, it quit blowing entirely.

Unlike other heaters I've had, the grills get hot enough to burn you if you touch them. I think they would also get hot enough to combust anything too close. I sacrificed a finger to it so that the rest of you won't have too! Interestingly, the sides of the grill where the heat doesn't blow were cool to the touch even though the center was extremely hot after running for a couple minutes.

I'm extremely disappointed in this fan. I would rather have 2 cheap fans from HD that would be safer and move more air. The oscillation is a joke since there is such a narrow range of movement.

I have pets and I don't want to take the chance one will bump into this and burn his nose. I don't see how the name "safeheat" applies when they use a metal grill.

This fan was engineered to LOOK like it works well, but it doesn't live up to it's promise. It does heat, however, so I guess it earned it's one star! Mine is going back to Amazon.

After 2 day with heater, it is way too small to heat anything too far away. I have to sit right next to it to feel any heat. Better put it on Max also. My unit for some reason the blows heat on the bottom, then cool air on top. Smart if you want a fan and heater at the same time in the winter. Oscillating doesn't do a thing but make small background noise...You think some kind of insect is in you house. Don't waste you money on this one. Return slip is filled out already.

It is smaller than listed, but a great little heater for a bathroom or to knock off the chill in a smaller size room, say about a 10 X 10 ft size. I bought 3 of them and they are great for my intended purpose. With natural gas going up 48% this winter, they will pay for themselves this season alone.

Honest reviews on Delonghi DCH4120 SafeHeat Ceramic Heater with Oscillating Base

The Picture of the unit does not clearly represent it. The size is way wrong. The grills in the picture make you believe that the whole area produces heat. It actually is only a small center area on each Grill. The Center gets very hot while the sides stay cool. It worked ok in a small room. I got this one to replace a tiny cheapo walmart space heater. The cheap heater produces much more heat, makes a less annoying sound, and evenly distributes the heat to the room. I paid $32 for this one which will be returned shortly, compared to the $19 I paid for the cheap one. I do not recommend this heater to anyone unless your going to use it in a small room (office). I find the noise it makes when it rotates too annoying to have it in a bedroom while your trying to sleep.

I feel that the description of the Item is inaccurate for these reasons.

1. Measures 25 by 22 by 16 inches (It really is a little over half that size, the box it was shipped in was 25X22X16 almost)

2. "this quiet appliance provides bi-directional heat flow for even heat distribution" Its only quiet if you don't have it rotating to distribute the heat, other then that it makes a squeak noise.

3. "the heater's extra-large grille covers a wider range for better circulation" the grill although it appears large, only gets hot in the middle part leaving about 2/3 of it unheated.

4. "The DCH4120 features an oscillating base" The base does oscillate, although the levels do.

Well, I hope this helps someone. I don't mean to sound as if I am some grumpy customer. I wrote this for others information. I rarely return items, as a matter of fact this is my first Amazon return in 4 years. But its going back.

Have a great day!

I thought this was bigger but was shocked at it's small size compared to the picture. It quit oscillating overnite and hardly puts out much heat. I am returning this one!
