I had one of these installed when I had my a/c system replaced. This unit talks to you and instructs you on how to set everything. Most other programable thermostats I had were difficult to figure out how to change and set. This one is simple.

I highly recommend this unit. It is a little pricey but worth is.

I bought this same griddle from on sale and returned it immediately after opening the package. The unit is cheaply made (drawer and trim plastic is not substantial), the surface is not as large as most griddles, the surface was scratched, and the depth of the drawer might allow for a stack of one pancake. Great idea, poor product.

Having a large family, and owning several griddles in my lifetime, I know what is a good griddle and what is not and I would not recommend this griddle.

1. The design is poor the warming draw takes up the entire front, so the grease catcher has to be in the back, making it inaccessible if you would like to use some of the grease to cook in.

2. The warming drawer is a good idea, but if you pull it out enough to put something in, it comes off the tracks and is VERY difficult to put back on. Therefore, my warming drawer ends up sitting on the counter under the unit.

3. If I were designing a griddle, I would assume people would use it with the warming draw in the front where they can access it so why did they make this griddle with the cord facing the front so it is bending back on itself to plug it in??

4. All the edges are rounded, so there is not a place to break an egg.

If, after all these bad reviews, you choose to purchase this product, please do not follow the temperature guidelines in the owners manual all your food will burn! I can't have the dial any higher than 250 degrees, and then I have to watch it closely. I have burned whole batches of bacon, pancakes, and eggs.

This foods will burn before they are even cooked through!

I was given this item as a gift, and am slowly adjusting to it, but if you're looking to purchase a griddle, don't waste your money on this one!

The warmer on this grill is a laugh. It is way too small for us. Even though there are only two of us, we prefer our old grill (without the broken greaser catcher). We are able to make enough so that we can sit down and eat together. The way we interpreted the advertising it was much larger,

Get the Cuisinart, or some other better made griddle (with or without attached warmer) if you can afford and "heft" it, which I couldn't and can't.

Pros:

1) Price

2) Weight (I have autoimmune diseases, swollen hands, pain early, every day, so I can move the griddle and warmer without having to really "grasp" anything too tight or too heavy for me.)

3) Easy to wipe off if you're making pancakes (my husband is a vegetarian and I don't eat bacon, beef, sausage anytime but once a year, for my birthday, I like a prime rib, and I sure wouldn't fix it on this griddle).

I let it heat up really hot, wipe Country Crock on a paper towel, smear the griddle with it, being careful not to burn myself "too" much, and after I've got three 5-inch pancakes cooked completely and put in the warming drawer, I take the same piece of paper towel and sort of shove the little crispy pancake leftover pieces toward the back slot (my husband cleans up the griddle after it cools completely, and he says it's easy to do), make the next three 5-inch pancakes, and so on, until I've got 11-12--you can't completely control pancake batter spread, or at least I can't, so sometimes I get 11 and sometimes I get 12, but I never have more than three stacks across--the drawer won't hold any more than that.

4) This would be good for a dorm room--if the administration would let you have it in your room or for any single person just starting out. If you're eating something else, made in the microwave, on or in the stove--like the bacon or baked beans mentioned in an ad for this griddle--the warmer will hold (I counted) eleven 5-inch pancakes, stacked three to four high, and nothing else with them.

5) I'm not anxious making pancakes on this the way I was in a non-stick skillet when I had no way to stop the pancakes from getting dead cold in minutes, so I would serve my husband his first and eat after just like my mom used to do--and I felt left out, like a cook and waitress, not a wife and companion, while my husband relaxed over the newspaper and his breakfast.

OK, now for the cons:

1) The warmer, which was the second reason I bought this and not any other that I looked for--the first reason as noted above was the price--doesn't keep food "really warm" as the marketers imply, thought it does keep the pancakes from getting stone cold or even cool.

As my husband says, he can melt butter on his, so that's not "too" bad, but the warmer is made of thin plastic and set so low and loose under the griddle that when I touch it, it moved around, I can push in under further, which is a good thing, so the pancakes stay a little warmer than they would if I let the tray sit flush with the front of the griddle.

2) There is only enough "cooking area", as opposed to total area, for three 5-inch pancakes: one to the very left, one in the center, one to the very right. The manufacturers, based on engineer directions, I imagine, put an "inner frame" on top so you've got dead space, and with just the two of us, not being giant breakfast eaters, it takes me four batches--each batch kept in the iffy warmer below, to finish making our pancakes.

3) The temperature gauge is wonky. I have to put it up really high and then crack our front door (we live in Utah) to let the chemical smell dissipate. It does not wear off after the first use, and also to let the fumes from the non-stick surface mixed with very high heat, to not get trapped in our very small kitchen. Well, I do set it higher than indicated, pour the pancake batter carefully (left, right, center), and watch for the tops to bubble and the outside to dry "just enough" before flipping the pancakes over. (It shouldn't take so long to cook just 11-12 pancakes, and it didn't take me that long when I did them in a non-stick skillet, but as I said, I couldn't join my husband at the table to eat with him, so I prefer this griddle and it's luke-warmer to the alternative.

RECOMMENDATION:

If you can afford a Cuisinart or any other griddle that is made better, buy it. Then put one of those bread stones in a basket, stack your pancakes in the basket and cover them up with a heavy cloth. But if you're single, on a tight budget, have to handle the griddle yourself and can't lift heavy things as I cannot, and you're planning to make just pancakes, maybe some bacon, buy this until you can get the better, or best, on the market. This is definitely a make-do, stop-gap item; I wouldn't buy it for anyone else, but I'm grateful I can sit down with my husband to eat with him, and this particular griddle at this particular price allows me to do that.

got it for my daughter for christmas she loved it when she got it, but it does not cook evenly. make a pancake half cooked and other part raw. very disappointed

Our aging Kenmore gas dryer was still running, but there was no heat. I did a little bit of online research and discovered that this fuse is usually the culprit. I was very happy to find this part in-stock at Amazon. I ordered the fuse with next-day delivery via Amazon Prime and I had that old dryer fixed within 24 hours and I also saved a ton of money by doing it myself. It was easy! Pull the dryer out from the wall, unplug the cord, remove the vent hose, remove the back panel, switch the part and put everything back together again. Done! Hey, I followed the utube video's and this darn thing worked like a charm! It saved me from having to buy a new dryer.

Just make sure you clean all the lint from the dryer.

I haven't had any experience with attempting to fix a dryer before so my initial thoughts were about how much it was going to cost to replace this broken dryer. I'm glad I checked the reviews and found this incredibly inexpensive fuse which solved my problem in a few minutes. I thought taking the dryer apart was going to be difficult but even that was really no big deal. BTW if you find this product in a repair shop near you it will likely cost 3-4 times as much at least that was my experience in NJ.

This is peachy warm and versatile. I've had it for a couple of weeks now. Couldn't be easier to use. I'm sitting on it right now, folded over my shoulders, and this works for me since I can get up and leave it in the chair very easily. The low setting is usually warm enough, and it gives a consistent comfortable heat. It is not very wide, but this leaves space for arm motion if sitting on top of it, and makes it easy to handle, so no complaints. If someone came up with an electric bathrobe, I guess that would be better, but I've also used this one as a leg wrap all the way down to the floor. I also got their king size bed blanket (which is huge and covers the entire bed from head to foot and sides) and it's as easy to use as this personal wrap, with more temperature settings, also consistent and comfortable heat. Both are fine products, with ample quality and convenience, a pleasure to find someone who cares more about the quality of their product and their customer than they do about their d*** stock options. Somebody really did some research on these blankets because they don't "toast" you at all, so there's no fine tuning required to get it right. Plug it in, push a button, and you're warm within a few minutes. Love 'em.

Salamander Chameleon Active Cooling Rear Panel for 30-Inch-Tall Reviews

I recently purchased a Salamander Chameleon 336 in "Oslo" trim and it is amazingly well built. I've had lots of other AV cabinetry and stands but this is my first Salamander and I have to say that they absolutely worth the price. This accessory active cooling rear panel is no exception. While you might balk at how ridiculous it sounds to spend nearly $200 on a simple panel with fans on it, think about what it does to protect your electronics. If you have an amp, receiver, or other heat-producing component, this is a must in lieu of the plain non-actively ventilated panel that came with the cabinet. Even if you have ample space around your separating your electronics inside the cabinet, stagnant air trapped on all sides including the rear can build-up a significant amount of heat and will cause long-term damage to your components. Trust me on this: I had a previous Denon receiver fail on me due to my disregard for proper ventilation.

Unlike the standard non-cooling panels that come with all Salamander Chameleon cabinets, the plastic on this active cooling panel seems to firmer and doesn't have a curvature built in to it. While this requires a bit more muscle to squeeze it into place, I'm assuming this was necessary to accommodate the mounting points of the dual fan unit. Once installed, the fit is perfect. However, Amazon's product image is misleading in how the fans are installed on the 30" tall version. The 30" tall active cooling panel I received has the fan unit mounted in the center, almost in line with the pinch tabs on the sides, and not at the top edge of panel like the Amazon's image shows. In my case, it actually works out very well because I have a source component at the top shelf while the amp at the bottom of the cabinet, which in this configuration provides more cooling for the amp since it needs it more. No complaints here. Perhaps the image is an older one and Salamander received customer feedback that pointed out how most people place heavy amps and receivers at the bottom of big cabinets anyway? It's definitely a welcome modification because I originally purchased the extended version of this active cooling panel that provided an extra 3" of rear clearance for large amps but that unit had the fans mounted at the top which wasn't ideal for cooling my amp sitting at the bottom with a shelf above separating it from the fans and partially blocking airflow for it. After I switched from a Yamaha receiver that was 18" in depth to a Denon that was only 16" in depth, I no longer needed the extra clearance of the extended version so the better fan placement was a welcome surprise.

Installation was a snap, literally. It really just snaps into place after you squeeze in the pinch tabs. No tools or hardware to fuss with, unlike the extended version. It basically mounts like the standard non-cooling panels. There is wire on the inside with a spade terminal that you can either attach to a component's casing screw or use the included magnet cube to secure it to the hottest part of the component or amp. This is a thermistor that will activate the fan speed based on temperature. Even at maximum speed, the dual fans are relatively quiet yet seem to move lots of air. With the door closed, the fans are virtually silent from in front. For power, there is a wall wart and cord that you connect to the fan on the outside. Hard to see where it connects to at first but once it's in, you should've have to unplug it again so no big deal. When the systems is powered-down for a while and everything is cool, the fans shut off automatically.

Be wary of which one you order. There is a 20" version of this for shorter cabinets that will only work with 2xx units. This 30" should fit in any one section of Salamander Chameleon 3xx units.

got this for my nephew who loves fire. he wanted to keep track of the flue temps on our wood stove and it works as advertised. I gave it 4 stars because of the instruction on drilling the hole in the pipe. don't drill what they say, go a size smaller and it should fit much better.

I have a wood stove and was always concerned about overheating. The regular stove pipe thermometers would not work on double wall stove pipe so I tried this. Seems to be very accurite and lets me know when the fire is getting too hot.

It works great . The only reason I didn't give it five stars was the bushing you push through the first hole before passing the probe through was too long and hit the inner pipe and didn't sit flush so I shortened it using my grinder . Problem solved .
