Not much to write on this: Instructions were easy enough to follow, and if you have, or are stuck with Cadet Baseboard heaters with integrated thermostats, this will not only properly regulate them, but being dual-pole will also enable them to be turned completely off, which can save some power.

Product arrived in new condition and was easy to install.

I have been looking in getting a small fryer, the size is perfect for me, but the basket inside is way too small for the size of the fryer, the oil is never hot enough, just warm, so your food absorb the oil. I am very disappointed, I don't want it, just complicated to send it back and get something else.

I have been wanting to get a new deep fryer for a couple years now, but I was unable to find what I wanted within the price range that I wanted to spend. This met all my needs, the large capacity is double the amount of my 10 year old deep fryer and it had the mechanism to raise the basket out of the oil without opening the lid (which is a lot harder to find thatn I thought it would be). Also my old one was white, super hard to keep clean. The black and stainless steel is relatively easy to keep clean between uses. It heats up pretty fast, which I love! There is only one downfall, it takes a while to cool down. SO if it gets stored in a cabinet it sits on the counter for at least an hour or so before getting put away, but I can deal with that. Probably one of the best 60 bucks I have ever spent!!

I just received my fryer today and I used it about 5 minutes after the mailman dropped in on my doorstep.

Let me tell you this.

If you love to fry, love fried foods, and want crispy delicious foods without a buttload of grease because your fryer does not make heat, then you NEED this fryer.

I am so beyond impressed.

It heats up to 375 in under 10 minutes (took about 6 I believe).

I tried frozen french fries, a real potato, fish sticks, pot stickers (not a good one, it was my husbands idea, don't do that), and egg rolls. We're going to try shrimp, chicken, zucchini, and eggplant next.

Cooking time is SHORT!!!! The frozen fries took less than 2 minutes to get HOT and CRISPY, and you could still get a mouthful of potato instead of grease! I cooked the rest at 375*, so it got a bit OVERcooked, 350* would be better for the other foods we did, but they also cooked in under 3 minutes. The eggroll took about 5 minutes at 375*... and I hear chicken legs/wings/breasts (small ones, not huge ones) need to cook for close to 18 minutes at 375*.

They come out tasting delicious, crispy, and wonderful.

I AM VERY HAPPY!!!!! If yours comes and doesn't work right, GET ANOTHER. These are the best I've ever used!

This fryer is great. I can't stress that enough! It's worth the money, every penny. It holds a lot of oil but it cooks a lot of food at once. The basket is quiet large, but you can raise and lower it with the lid shut (reduces splatter). It heats up real hot, does not take that long to heat up either. We've made all kinds of things already: chicken wings, french fries, perogies, chicken strips, onion rings, deep fried oreo's, fried reeses, and more!

Now yes you can make all those things in any other fryer, or even a frying pan... but this fryer is so convenient. Between the lid, the temperature settings, the built in timer, the basket (that you can lower and raise with the lid shut). I read some other reviews that the lid doesn't close right with the basket up but I've not had any problems with that at all. I actually wonder if the person had the basket pushed all the way into the unit (it sorta clicks down into the front by the handle to hold the basket in there).

I WOULD recommend this to a friend.

Honest reviews on Oster CKSTDFZM70 4-Liter Cool Touch Deep Fryer, Black and Stainless

I purchased this deep fryer last week and have been enjoying it ever since. I had a fish fry with my family over the weekend and this deep fryer did not disappoint. We fried fish, shrimp, and french fires and the food turned out crispy, not oily, and with that nice golden brown coloring. I must stress as others have, read the instructions before using this appliance as you'll save yourself a ton of headaches and frustration. I followed the instructions to the tee and did not experience any of the problems others have mentioned (inability to close the lid while frying food or the unit taking too long to heat the oil. The basket provided with the unit is large enough to handle one medium size bag of frozen french fries, or 10 to 12 chicken wings, or 4 to 5 good size pieces of fish filets. Some of the Oster's Cool Touch other strengths are: it fries the food in a reasonable time, doesn't take up too much counter space, and is easy to move. If you're in the market for a deep fryer I would strongly suggest this one!

We have used it a few times in the month we have had it and everything works exactly like the description says. We used olive oil in our previous fryer and decided to try it with this one too (the book recommends against it). No problem no smoke at 375 degrees.Food comes out crispy and tssty. I bought this same griddle from on sale and returned it immediately after opening the package. The unit is cheaply made (drawer and trim plastic is not substantial), the surface is not as large as most griddles, the surface was scratched, and the depth of the drawer might allow for a stack of one pancake. Great idea, poor product.

Click Here For Most Helpful Customer Reviews >>

Having a large family, and owning several griddles in my lifetime, I know what is a good griddle and what is not and I would not recommend this griddle.

1. The design is poor the warming draw takes up the entire front, so the grease catcher has to be in the back, making it inaccessible if you would like to use some of the grease to cook in.

2. The warming drawer is a good idea, but if you pull it out enough to put something in, it comes off the tracks and is VERY difficult to put back on. Therefore, my warming drawer ends up sitting on the counter under the unit.

3. If I were designing a griddle, I would assume people would use it with the warming draw in the front where they can access it so why did they make this griddle with the cord facing the front so it is bending back on itself to plug it in??

4. All the edges are rounded, so there is not a place to break an egg.

If, after all these bad reviews, you choose to purchase this product, please do not follow the temperature guidelines in the owners manual all your food will burn! I can't have the dial any higher than 250 degrees, and then I have to watch it closely. I have burned whole batches of bacon, pancakes, and eggs.

This foods will burn before they are even cooked through!

I was given this item as a gift, and am slowly adjusting to it, but if you're looking to purchase a griddle, don't waste your money on this one!

The warmer on this grill is a laugh. It is way too small for us. Even though there are only two of us, we prefer our old grill (without the broken greaser catcher). We are able to make enough so that we can sit down and eat together. The way we interpreted the advertising it was much larger,

Honest reviews on Living by Nostalgia NGD200 Non-stick Griddle with Warming Drawer

Get the Cuisinart, or some other better made griddle (with or without attached warmer) if you can afford and "heft" it, which I couldn't and can't.

Pros:

1) Price

2) Weight (I have autoimmune diseases, swollen hands, pain early, every day, so I can move the griddle and warmer without having to really "grasp" anything too tight or too heavy for me.)

3) Easy to wipe off if you're making pancakes (my husband is a vegetarian and I don't eat bacon, beef, sausage anytime but once a year, for my birthday, I like a prime rib, and I sure wouldn't fix it on this griddle).

I let it heat up really hot, wipe Country Crock on a paper towel, smear the griddle with it, being careful not to burn myself "too" much, and after I've got three 5-inch pancakes cooked completely and put in the warming drawer, I take the same piece of paper towel and sort of shove the little crispy pancake leftover pieces toward the back slot (my husband cleans up the griddle after it cools completely, and he says it's easy to do), make the next three 5-inch pancakes, and so on, until I've got 11-12--you can't completely control pancake batter spread, or at least I can't, so sometimes I get 11 and sometimes I get 12, but I never have more than three stacks across--the drawer won't hold any more than that.

4) This would be good for a dorm room--if the administration would let you have it in your room or for any single person just starting out. If you're eating something else, made in the microwave, on or in the stove--like the bacon or baked beans mentioned in an ad for this griddle--the warmer will hold (I counted) eleven 5-inch pancakes, stacked three to four high, and nothing else with them.

5) I'm not anxious making pancakes on this the way I was in a non-stick skillet when I had no way to stop the pancakes from getting dead cold in minutes, so I would serve my husband his first and eat after just like my mom used to do--and I felt left out, like a cook and waitress, not a wife and companion, while my husband relaxed over the newspaper and his breakfast.

OK, now for the cons:

1) The warmer, which was the second reason I bought this and not any other that I looked for--the first reason as noted above was the price--doesn't keep food "really warm" as the marketers imply, thought it does keep the pancakes from getting stone cold or even cool.

As my husband says, he can melt butter on his, so that's not "too" bad, but the warmer is made of thin plastic and set so low and loose under the griddle that when I touch it, it moved around, I can push in under further, which is a good thing, so the pancakes stay a little warmer than they would if I let the tray sit flush with the front of the griddle.

2) There is only enough "cooking area", as opposed to total area, for three 5-inch pancakes: one to the very left, one in the center, one to the very right. The manufacturers, based on engineer directions, I imagine, put an "inner frame" on top so you've got dead space, and with just the two of us, not being giant breakfast eaters, it takes me four batches--each batch kept in the iffy warmer below, to finish making our pancakes.

3) The temperature gauge is wonky. I have to put it up really high and then crack our front door (we live in Utah) to let the chemical smell dissipate. It does not wear off after the first use, and also to let the fumes from the non-stick surface mixed with very high heat, to not get trapped in our very small kitchen. Well, I do set it higher than indicated, pour the pancake batter carefully (left, right, center), and watch for the tops to bubble and the outside to dry "just enough" before flipping the pancakes over. (It shouldn't take so long to cook just 11-12 pancakes, and it didn't take me that long when I did them in a non-stick skillet, but as I said, I couldn't join my husband at the table to eat with him, so I prefer this griddle and it's luke-warmer to the alternative.

RECOMMENDATION:

If you can afford a Cuisinart or any other griddle that is made better, buy it. Then put one of those bread stones in a basket, stack your pancakes in the basket and cover them up with a heavy cloth. But if you're single, on a tight budget, have to handle the griddle yourself and can't lift heavy things as I cannot, and you're planning to make just pancakes, maybe some bacon, buy this until you can get the better, or best, on the market. This is definitely a make-do, stop-gap item; I wouldn't buy it for anyone else, but I'm grateful I can sit down with my husband to eat with him, and this particular griddle at this particular price allows me to do that.

We used this trim on top of a GROHE rough-in valve. The trim has an expensive look and has a 100F temperate stop with 110F max temperature setting. But when water drips on the trim from the shower head it does stain the trim with salt. We have to scrub more frequently than I expected.

Also, the installation is not as easy since the instructions are not as clear. So make sure you get a knowledgeable person to help with the installation. GROHE is an excellent company to get customer support. They respond to email requests for information promptly.

I never owned an indoor grill made by Ronco or George F so I won't be comparing the Waring to anything else. This review is based upon an inspection of the parts and the cooking of several foods.

Waring makes professional products so they know what quality is. Don't let the word "Pro" fool you into thinking this is a restaurant-quality commercial product -It isn't but the quality is very good. My initial observations:

* The grill is heavy-duty enough for home kitchen use. The body is metal, the controls have a quality feel, the heating elements are thick and the grilling surfaces seem pretty good.

* It takes a while to heat-up but once it does it cooks at a consistent rate.

* The free-floating top grill doesn't really float so you have to free-it-up manually. Keep in mind that the grill plates are really hot and extend outside of the body so a pot holder is in order.

* There are two sets of grill plates: one set with ridges and one set that is flat. The upper and lower plates are not interchangeable. The non-stick coating isn't the hardest I've even seen. There is a cheap platic tool included that you can use to clean the ridged grill plates but it didn't do a satisfactory job even on a brand new grill.

Cooking results were good in both the closed and open positions. The upper grill is not quite level when the grill is laid flat so the drippings may or may not flow in the right direction. I mades some burgers, turkey burgers, fried eggs and bacon all with good results. The cooking surfaces cooked thoroughly, evenly and quickly.

Overall, I'm satisfied and feel that I got a good grill for what it costs. I know I'm dreaming but I would preferred to have cast-iron grill plates over the nonstick aluminum. I would also prefer it if the grill plates were reversable as opossed to interchangeable. As long as it's not made by Cuisinart, I'm happy.

This is the first counter-top indoor grill I have owned. My husband purchased a Geo. Foreman for Christmas but this one seemed to have better ratings and was priced $20 cheaper with Free Shipping so we decided to try. I don't have much to compare to since it's the first one I've owned. Seems fairly easy to use. Grids are easy to take out to clean. One drawback is that since the top lid rests on top of the meat if you are cooking meat that is more than 1/4" thick the grease splatters out around the edges and leaves a mess all over the countertop. The little plastic cups that are provided to catch the grease are cheesy. I don't see myself using this on a regular basis. Using as a griddle it's OK but a little small even for 2 people.

Best Deals on Waring Contact Grill and Griddle WGG500SSQ

I paid $79.99 in 12/09 and have been very pleased so far. The grill heats quickly and when ready provides even heat distribution. The food cooks and looks great. I especially like the burgers that are crusty on the outside and juicy inside. I scrape the plates, while still warm, with the plastic scraper that comes with the grill and when cool put them in the dishwasher and they clean up well. The plates are very easy to take off and put on.

Ordered it and it arrived early. Makes great sandwiches and grills meat perfectly and quickly. My only dislike of the product is that it takes elbow grease to clean it. I was hoping that the "non stick" surface was truly non stick, but it's not. Overall, a good product.

This product is a bummer. I've had two of them die in 6 months. I suggest the slightly more expensive, Activeair fan controller.

Click Here For Most Helpful Customer Reviews >>

I ordered 3 Speedster Fan controllers.

They worked fine for the first month....

now my variable speed does not work unless i turn it all the way to high... it just stalls out otherwise and moves very very slow(still moves though)

So 3/3 do not work after 1 month, (probably only 3weeks).

Very disappointed.

Best Deals on SE - Step Less Speed Controller - Electronic, 15 Amps

Product is actually for motors with brushes. I bought to use with inline fan. It will function to adjust RPM, however the dial at 1 point is go go and beyond that it fails to be consistent. At a certain point on the dial it is not effective at maintaining the RPM. I think it will work great with router and similar tools but not ideal for fan motors.

Honest reviews on SE - Step Less Speed Controller - Electronic, 15 Amps

I bought this product and plugged it in and it worked as stated. But it slows the engine speed by changing the sine wave of your Alternating Current (A/C) current into a Square Wave. Why is this bad? A/C appliances are made to run with a smooth ramp up and a smooth ramp down. By changing this into a square wave, it's 100% plus, then zero, then 100% minus, without a ramp. This produced an immediate hum in my fan as soon as I slowed the engine with this device. It will also reduce the efficiency and shorten the bearing life of your fan. Electronic equipment nearby may suffer from electrical noise such as lines on your TV or hum in your sound system.

I suggest this product as an alternative: Variac Variable Transformer

3 Amp Variac Variable Transformer, 300va Max, 0-130 Volt Output

It costs more, but it will last much longer. And it can be used on many other things in your house. You can actually dim Compact Fluorescent Light Bulbs (CFLs) with this product. I have one of these that was made in the 1970s and it still works today. It slows your fan by reducing the voltage. A Variac does not change the A/C sine wave.

I use this with my cheap 4 1/2 inch angle grinders which have only two speeds,

1. Zero R.P.M. or

2. 11000 R.P.M. which is a bit much especially when using a wire brush wheel.

I usually set this at "Medium" and have much better control of the tool attached.

I've used it for several hours at a stretch and haven't had any problems.

This part tested bad in my freezer. I looked up the part on whirlpool's part site and found the part number. It was about $30 there. Much cheaper here.

I don't know that this is the exact replacement part for my whirlpool refrigerator, since the leads were rather short. I had to cut the old leads and splice the new ones in. Maybe this is normal, it is my first time doing this. I bought some heat shrink butt splices at a hardware store to make this work.

My freezer now defrosts regularly as it is supposed to.

Product is satisfactory.
