I purchased this unit for the convenience of dispensed hot & cold water. I based my decision on researching reviews both here and on other sites.
The product was purchased almost a month ago, I did not get around to installing it until recently as I was waiting for the bottle on the old cooler to empty. But people kept installing new bottles and I didn't get the chance until a couple of days ago.
The item was received undamaged and in factory packaging. What I did not like was the absence of factory manuals. No problem, I downloaded the appropriate one from the factory website.
So far the product has given good service. The hot water dispensed is adequately hot and the cold water adequately cold. There is no sign of plastic tasting water, unlike other company's coolers in investigated reviews.
There is no sign of leakage but the installed bottle does have a consistent habit of constantly bubbling as if the water has not settled. The amount of water dispensed from each spigot is a little weak. Not quite the dispensing strength of the older unit.
A side effect of this new dispenser is that everyone is now using it much more often than the old one. After two days the bottle is already more than half drained. This is going to impact future bottle deliveries. Maybe the usage will go down once the novelty has worn off.
The unit is also Energy Star rated, I do not purchase appliances unless they have this rating.
For anyone in the market for an economical hot/cold water dispenser I would recommend this model.
UPDATE (05/04/12)
Was in contact with the manufacturer regarding an item not specified in detail in the service manual.
My question to the company was "Is there an approved cleaning technique for this unit?"
I know how to clean water coolers but the service manual specifically warned against using other liquids other than bottled water. This would inhibit the standard cleaning techniques I know/use.
The prompt answer back from the company:
This is what we recommend:
1. 1 cap of bleach to ½ gal of warm water.
2. Pour a little in the tank and wipe down.
3. Soak the faucets and baffle in the solution.
4. Run a little of the solution through the entire system
5. Rinse thoroughly with clean water, 2 gal at least.
I was relieved to see that the recommended technique is in line with known cleaning procedures for water coolers. But this is straight from the horse's mouth.
Health protocol advises that this should be done approximately every two months.
I just thought that current and potential owners would like to know.
The unit itself is a standard water dispenser, with one hot and one cold spigot. Setup was easy: just clean the exterior, plug it in, and insert a bottle. (I've read that some other brands require more extensive cleaning, so the fast setup was nice.) One small negative is that the bottles seem to require a little more effort to insert onto the inner post than my previous units but that's not a deal breaker. Water flow is very good for the cold side, faster than my previous units. The hot side seems about the same as previous units. One feature that this doesn't have is an adjustable temperature feature, so if you want that, this isn't the unit for you.
So far, so good. We'll see if this outlasts the 3-5 years that previous units lasted.
UPDATE:
Have had the unit for about 8 months now. Still working well, although the flow from the hot water dispenser has slowed down. I suspect that it's due to scale build-up in the unit. So, I went back to the (rather sparse) manual to find instructions on how to descale the unit...and all it says is to descale the unit (no actual instructions). I went to the company's web site...and nothing. I emailed the company and was told to "follow the instructions for the descaling liquid." Huh??? After emailing them back, I got a response to "use any descaling product for coffee makers." When I asked for more explicit instructions (since a water dispenser is NOT a coffee maker), I got nothing. I've had other water dispensers, and they each had their own particular descaling instructions. As far as I'm concerned, that's pretty poor customer service. So I'm reducing my rating to 3 stars.

I needed a dispenser to replace my 4 year old GE unit. These Big Box units, which sell for a little over a hundred bucks, seem to last about 3-5 years with constant use. When I did my research of the current brands sold by the Big Box stores, I wasn't thrilled with the reviews. None of them seemed to be particularly positive. So I continued to look for other alternatives, willing to pay a little more if I could find a unit that got better ratings. That's when I found the Clover dispenser. The ratings were good and I was willing to spend a little more for it.The unit itself is a standard water dispenser, with one hot and one cold spigot. Well, the product is exactly as advertised! Boiling temperature water from a child-safe spout, and refrigerated water from the other one! Fits our multitude of differently shaped water tanks, very simple, easy to use, works great! We had bought a few different water coolers from other sellers and brands, but had to return all of them because they arrived broken or didn't work as advertised, but this one had absolutely no disappointments :-) Pretty good deal for the money.Honest reviews on Clover B7A Hot and Cold Water Dispenser With Adjustable Cold Water

I just had an impulsive earge to buy a water cooler and i couldnt be happier with this one. No leaks. absolutly no bad taste at first. The water is so beautifly cold, and you sit there and chug like 4 or five tall glasses and still have some cold water in the reservior. I dont know much about other coolers, but i decided to hike out a lil extra cash for this awsome one and i recomend you do the same. just buy a waterjug literaly just throughw it on the top, wait for to get cold, once and only once.Thursday, November 13, 2014
Best Comfort Zone® Personal Ceramic Heater/Fan CZ441 Deals
This is such a great little heater!
It really pushes out lots of heat for such a little thing, likely because it's ceramic.
It is tip-proof and cold-bodied -exactly what I need in a space heater.
My bedroom is 15' x 11' and it heats the whole thing in no time flat, never getting hot on the bottom or sides.
I plain love it!
I have reduced my rating from three to two stars. I cannot recommend that anyone buy this this heater.
Original review ---
My new CZ441 heater was delivered about a week ago. It has been uncommonly cold in the Northeast recently, so I wsa glad to see it and put it to use.
Set up was simple. Out of the box, 5 minutes to read the instructions, and plug it in. I live in an old house (1890) so I was a bit worried about blowing fuses. No problem though. The low setting uses about 1100 watts (10 amps).
The unit was purchased for use in my study, a small room about 10' x 12' in size. The two windows provide nice light, but they leak air, and the room is always cold in the winter (which is about 6 months long here). An adjacent room is the laundry, with an outside door, and it is always cool in there. So a small forced draft electric heater was just what I needed.
It is quite small and light, a bit larger than a loaf of bread. It sits unobtrusively on the floor, pointed slightly upward. The tip over protection switch works very well. The cord is about 6' long. None of the exterior surfaces or the handle get warm, let alone hot, even after hours of continuous use. My dog likes to lay right in front of it, a couple of feet away.
I have found that it is most effective when it is placed about 5' away from where I'm sitting, pointed directly at me. The fan is a bit noisier than I would like, but it is "white" noise, so I don't notice it unless someone in another part of the house is trying to talk to me. Voices are somewhat difficult to hear over the noise. Without the fan running, hearing would be no problem.
We have a dog that sheds hair (don't they all?), so the idea of a cleanable filter was a plus. However, the "filter" is not very durable, and it will die or be lost long before the heater is used up. When it fails I will use the heater without a filter. Pity.
The description of the unit says it has a "thermostat." This is the reason why I give it 3 stars rather than more. The thermostat is such poor quality that it severely limits the usefulness of the heater. Simply put, the deadband is far too narrow to control the room temperature. The slightest turn on the knob goes from always off to always on.
The heater has two power settings, low and high. On the high setting the heater will run for perhaps 30 seconds, then shut off for a long time. On the low setting the heater either runs continuously, or not at all.
I consider the too sensitive thermostat to be a major flaw. The heater is essentially unusable on the high power setting. So I cannot recommend that you buy one of these units. I'm not so dissatified that I will return it, but I am diappointed in the poor quality.

Update one year later. Heater is still "working," but my complaint about the thermostat is even stronger. The "thermostat" has evolved into an on-off switch. The heater is either always running, or not running at all. It is not possible to find the middle of the deadband, becasue it does not have one. So my room swings between too warm and too cold, as I have to control the heater manually. Fan is still what I would call too noisy.I have reduced my rating from three to two stars. Great little heater. Dose a great job on heating up a room. And takes up little space. I highly recommend itHonest reviews on Comfort Zone® Personal Ceramic Heater/Fan CZ441
Maybe this item got bounced around one too many times in shipping because it was always loud. The previous model I had (same look and abilities but white) was not particularly loud, lasted over four years, and was used a lot more than this model was. This one barely lasted through one cold season in the southern US and was only used about 1 or 2 hours a day. It stopped working a week after we got it out for the next winter so I couldn't return it. Because I was very pleased with the first one of these I got and because I don't know what type of treatment this one went through during shipping I can't give it a totally bad review. It is a real powerhouse for a tiny heater and I really like that about it.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Comfort Zone® Personal Ceramic Heater/Fan CZ441

I was shopping around for electric blankets and finally decided to buy a few of these throws. I saw these in the stores and felt compelled to write a review since I've been using them since November. First of all, the reason I bought these throws was because my apt is never warm enough at night during winter. Electric heaters aren't allowed in my building so I wanted to try these heated throw blankets.
After using them for a while, I must say that I understimated these blankets. I figured since I only paid $30 for them at walgreens, that they wouldn't be that great. They output a good amount of heat and have kept me and my family warm during the cold winter. It comes with 3 heat settings and they have been doing their job well so far. They do tend to shed after some use, but I decided to just stick them under our bed sheets and handwash them a few times to get rid of the lint. There are other types of blankets that don't shed, but I've always preferred this type of soft material. Just don't put any sweaters of black clothing on it! The blankets I have do come with an auto shut-off and I don't mind it. Usually by the time it shuts off I'm already asleep. The heat is also not meant to be really hot, but its warm enough to keep you toasty.
For the price, this blanket is a great deal. The material isn't of the greatest quality, but its still very soft and does its job. Everybody has their own preferences, I just prefer fleece. I also like the fact that the heat goes to certain parts of your body while your sleeping. For example, if your feet are cold, you feel more heat go towards that area. Basically, if you want something cheap and usefull that will keep you warm at night, then this is the blanket.
You can try to find another brand like I did, but you might be turned off that they are double the price. I don't want to get caught paying a lot of money for a blanket and then it stops working after a few years. I figure I can probably squeeze out a couple of years from these blankets before I buy new ones. When you put them under your sheets or use them to curl up on your couch, they do the trick!

I've owned this heated throw for about a year now. It works alright, and does a good job of keeping me toasty. However, the material is thin and flimsy, and after washing it one time, my dryer lint collector was full of fibers that came out, and the throw now has little bare patches throughout. I also wished I had just bought a regular heated blanket instead of a throw, because it's too short to cover me at 5'2". It's uncomfortable to lay on top of, because you can feel the wires, and the controller is easily adjusted/turned off accidentally.Best Deals on Sunbeam Fleece Throw Electric Heated Warming Heating Blanket Home
This blanket is very thin and small. May be suitable for a child but will not cover an adult. It is also very thin and does not hold the heat in very much. It is not what I expected at all. Even with several blankets on top, it doesn't really stay warm. Either your feet or shoulders have to go uncovered. I'm only 5' 4" so it's not like it doesn't cover me because I'm too tall. As I said previously, it would be good for a child because of it's size and the fact that it doesn't get too hot.Honest reviews on Sunbeam Fleece Throw Electric Heated Warming Heating Blanket Home

Oster 6232 6-Slice Toaster Oven, Black with Chrome Accents Review
This is the largest capacity toaster oven I've seen in this price range, which greatly increases its versatility; it also has two shelves that can be arranged in different ways. So far, the one thing I do not like about it is that "on" and "off" are controlled through the timer. Not only is this a somewhat confusing extra step, but timers are notorious for being the first thing to wear out. Whether this is a problem or not remains (at least a decade, I hope) to be seen. Another reviewer lacked an instruction book and asked for the directions for toasting. For most toasting, use the bottom rack in the "up" position. Turn the temperature control knob to "Max." Turn the function selector knob to "Toast." (Both the top and bottom heater elements will operate.) Turn the timer knob past 15 minutes and return it to the desired setting (for bread, I'd recommend starting with no more than 2-4 minutes and taking it from there).
doneness. I also don't like the fact that the outside gets very very hot.

I find that this toaster oven is to complicated. You have to leave it on max and work everything through the timer. Then to toast you have to turn past 15 minutes, and back to the desireddoneness. I also don't like the fact that the outside gets very very hot.

it's a wonderful product. my family and i use it all the time. for baking and broiling , we use it more than our regular oven. only one problem that we haven't been able to work through, how to toast anything, cause we don't have an instruction booklet. if we can get one cause we try everything to get it to toast with no luck. then we would rate this a 10 not a 5. can u help us? the model # is6232.Honest reviews on Oster 6232 6-Slice Toaster Oven, Black with Chrome Accents
My biggest beef with this oven is that it is advertised as a SIX SLICE toaster. There is no way you can fit 6 slices of bread in this over at once. It's a roomy 4 slice at best. 2nd biggest beef is this thing gets REAL HOT on top when you are using it. Hot enough for 2nd degree burns if you aren't careful. Don't leave anything sit on top of it or it will get melted. Finally, the toaster function is not real great. You adjust darkness via the same timer control for timing say a 30 min pot pie. Problem is in the 1-2 min range, it's hard to reproduce consistant results. You really have to watch your toast. The pros? Well, it's very pretty sitting there and it is BLACK with CHROME which is what I needed to match my kitchen and the only reasonable priced one in those colors. So I guess you get what you pay for but I am still disappointed with the fact that you can't really toast 6 slices at once... with 4 kids that's a problem for me.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Oster 6232 6-Slice Toaster Oven, Black with Chrome Accents
This has got to be the worst toaster oven ever made! I have not had a decent piece of toast since I purchased this toaster oven. It either does not toast evenly or burns my toast. The controls are annoying and my first toaster oven broke after four months. Oster did send me a replacement, which I have had for about a year now, but this one is breaking also (just stops toasting halfway through, so you have to jiggle the controls to get it to work again). It's just awful! I would not recommend this product to anyone.Thursday, August 28, 2014

Researched everything I could find (including the reviews here on Amazon.) It seemed the most consistent complaints were about the over-flowing water pan and the noise. Kinda like a baby: it pees and it howls. So I knew what I was in for.
On the water: I'm not gonna criticize the machine for working so effectively on dehumidifying that it overflows quickly (although the manual does mention once that it has a "small" back-up tank to handle the water that isn't evaporated out the exhaust hose.) My solution was this: first, I placed an old metal t.v. tray with a lip all the way around it (to catch minor leaks at the base, though there haven't been any), on top of a simple step-stool (with a broad base.) The unit sits on the t.v. tray. That elevates the base 12 inches off the ground. This gives enough height to simply plop the drain-hose into the top of a one-gallon jug (I'm using an Arizona green tea jug 'cause it's a thicker plastic and unlikely to deteriorate. Bad for landfills, great for my application.)
Almost good enough, but it easily fills two gallons a day (if I run it constantly), here in Alabama. It only took one overflow when I forgot to check it, & I picked up a 4-gallon clear plastic 16" X 11" X 7"-high Sterilite pan for three bucks. With the gallon jug placed inside the pan (since that's easier to empty when I remember it), I have a couple days of 24-hour running without emptying, before an overflow makes it to my carpet. And I placed a regular school-type ruler between the t.v. tray & the step-stool to provide just enough backward tilt to ensure that the water would flow properly to the rear. Not too much: those wheels roll really well. In my placement, the exhaust hose (nearly at its shortest) stabilizes the unit.
Now, I know all this bucket-and-pan stuff ain't purty. But geez, there's this big ol' humongous exhaust hose right above it, so what's a little bucket or two? And it's clear plastic: if it really bothers me I can put some decals on it, right?
BTW, the hose drains MUCH better when you remember to remove the plug.
For the noise: yup, kinda noisy. But I sit about three feet in front of it while I do online videoconference-tutoring, and I usually can get away with using the speaker on my phone, except for my quieter students. And they don't seem to hear the noise. And it's no louder than my window unit. "Quiet" and "Noisy" are subjective in practice, so that's the most I can say.
About the exhaust hose: First, I really don't see how people can easily move the unit around, because if you're not careful, the hose can pop out of its window connector. That might have happened to me, though, because I was torquing it at awkward angles to try to fit it into my space. The hose is very stiff (a.k.a. seems well made.) Fortunately, nothing broke. I'm a cheapskate and read that the longer the hose, the more electricity portables will use, so I do wish I had a SHORTER hose. And although I'm sure there's more efficient wraps out there, I used what I had on hand, bubble wrap, to thoroughly wrap the hose (since air is a great insulator). It does put out quite a bit of heat along its entire length, so wrapping it well sends all the heat to the outdoors where you want it. I also placed a chunk of rubber insulation between the bottom of the duct where it attaches to the window panel, and my window sill. The exhaust hose puts out so much heat I wasn't sure what it would do over time to the cheap faux-wood on my mobilehome's window sill.
About the window-connector: pretty easy to connect. I only needed the main panel and one extender, which I simply scored at one end to break off the piece necessary to make it fit. (It took awhile to score it deeply enough, but I had a nice phone chat with my sister while I did it. Was too lazy to go fire up my saw.) The base happens to fit snugly down into my window track. I used an insulating wrap for a 1/2" pipe, cut open lengthwise, and fitted it over the top of the panel. This keeps out the water, wind and bugs (since my window doesn't close squarely across the panel, and I wouldn't trust it would be waterproof even if it closed evenly.) It also will still allow me to open the window, not needing to silicon nor tape the junction. The plastic of the window-connectors isn't as thick as a wall, but it's better-made than the cheap accordion gap-fillers I've seen for window air conditioners.
Remote control: works fine, though of course the batteries that come with it didn't work. Neither did the twoto three-year-old batteries I tried first. Fortunately I had a newer pack on hand, and those worked. Don't lose the remote: it provides a couple functions that aren't on top of the unit, such as varying fan speeds.
Modes: 3 basic ones: fan only, dehumidifier only, and "cool" i.e. the air conditioner. If you put it on Auto, it depends on the temperature: below 68 degrees it's fan only. 68-73 degrees, it's fan only IF you'd previously had it on fan only, otherwise it dehumidifies. The dehumidify mode also puts out surprisingly cool air, and makes it much less muggy inside (deep South, remember). 74-79 degrees, it dehumidifies regardless of prior settings. And above that, it goes to air conditioning (which of course also removes water from the air.)
So I can see how people would complain about the fan never shutting off. For THAT, you need to use the timer. You can set the timer to turn the unit on, or to turn it off.
And for the four-million-dollar question: does it work? My workroom is about 13' by 25', and is completely open to the similarly-sized kitchen AND my even bigger living room. I have a powerful computer that puts out a lot of heat and needs to stay cool, and I get hot flashes, myself (I know, TMI.) But I'd only been using a window air conditioner, which by itself helped but wasn't enough on the really hot, humid days here. It still got to 90-95 degrees inside if it went over 100 outside. I need my computer not to fry. So now, my computer and work table are right in front of both air conditioners, and together, they provide excellent cooling both for my computer (I have software that monitors the quad-core temps)and me. I don't use my ceiling fans, so when I stand (I'm 5'7") I can feel the warmer air just above my head. And it's warmer the farther away you get from the sweet spot. But when you walk inside from the 98-degree sunshine, that huge space is noticeably cooler about 85 degrees when farthest from the coolers. That's certainly livable. And sitting at my work table, with them blowing right on me and providing cool air for my computer...I'm in heaven.
UPDATE: 6/12/2012 Still happy with it, though I've discovered that true Alabama humidity (which hadn't yet set in when I wrote the first review) yields about a gallon of water from the hose every 4-5 hours. Have been grateful MANY times for the 4-gallon overflow container mentioned above. Much of the time only need to put the unit on dehumidify, as the air still is so cool from it that it's helpful simply to have all that sweat-inducing water removed from the air. Remote control seems to go through batteries rather quickly, but then, my pack of "new" batteries is nearly two years old.
UPDATE 7/18/12 Okay, I've been using it 12-16 hours or more daily, now. Hasn't failed yet. On truly humid days it pulls out a gallon of water every 3-4 hours. I really like the ease of adjusting the louvers: one set to direct up/down, the second for left-right. Lets me easily choose whether to cool my monitor or me. Still often just run the dehumidifier, but turn on the cooler when it really starts to heat up. I'll try to remember to put one more update in at the end of summer. Toodles, all, and thanks for the nice comments! And no, I don't work for the company! :))

I purchased 2 of these a couple weeks ago. They were shipped very quickly. They were easy to set up. The units are small but nicely built. They cool very well and are very quite. The remotes are great and the features are better than larger units. My only complaint is the evaporation system really can't handle humid conditions very well. I started it up and within 2 hours the bucket full system went off and I had to empty the unit. After it did it again in the same amount of time,I ended up elevating the unit and puting a bucket behind it so I don't have to empty it as often. This is the only drawback from a fine little unit.Best Deals on Soleus Air KY-80 Portable Air Conditioner/Dehumidifier/Fan

I was not overly happy when I first received our Ecobee Thermostat, and I learned that I was going to need this remote temperature sensor module. Once we received it, the company that handles our commercial air conditioning system came to install it, because I was not comfortable with installing it. He said that installing the module in the thermostat casing was easy, but the instructions to integrate the module in the actual thermostat system were vague. It took a lot of trial and error with both of us going through each menu trying different combinations until something worked.
But now that it is installed and working, it is great. This component needs to be used with the Ecobee smart thermostat. The Ecobee system is great and has much more capability than the Nest.
