Great investment. We were skeptical but this was the best and juiciest turkey we have ever had. We fixed an 11 lb test turkey and it was gone in 2 days (just two of us, and I usually don't like turkey). Then we fixed an 18 lb for Thanksgiving with this and fixed another 12 lb in the oven the usual way and we ended up with just about the whole oven turkey only for leftovers (10 people).

I selected the Masterbuilt/Butterball Oil-Free Electric Turkey Fryer for three primary reasons. First, since my granddaughter is allergic to peanuts, I could not fry a turkey in peanut oil. Second, I wanted a way to capture drippings to make traditional-style turkey gravy, and third, I liked the idea of being able to roast a turkey at the rate of 10 minutes per pound. I started with a 10-lb. Butterball test turkey and vacillated as to whether to inject it with a butter-flavored marinade or leave it unflavored. I did not want Creole flavoring, and I'd read that if the turkey isn't injected with the proper quantities of marinade in the proper places, the marinade can pool and cause intense flavor in some areas of the meat. I decided to try roasting it without any seasoning at all and see what happened. I did nothing to the turkey except dry it thoroughly with paper towels and bind the wings next to the breast with a silicone band. We were very pleased with the outcome. The turkey cooked in exactly 100 minutes, and it was moist, juicy and delicious. On Thanksgiving, I roasted a 12-lb. Butterball turkey and everyone raved. Once again, it cooked in exactly 120 minutes. This time I oiled the turkey inside and out with corn oil mixed with minced fresh rosemary. I also applied a small amount of poultry rub to the skin.

For others who buy this product--which really isn't a fryer but a roaster--I can offer a couple of pointers. The instructions call for preheating the fryer, but it doesn't mention that preheating to the "high" setting takes a long time. On Thanksgiving, I preheated the unit for a full hour before putting in the turkey. Also, the turkey "basket" that fits into the unit is a cone shape with hole in the bottom for the drippings to drain into the cup. The instructions don't mention that when the user transports the cooked turkey in the basket from outdoors to indoors, it will leave a trail of drippings. On Thanksgiving, we solved the problem by placing the turkey basket into a cardboard box. Afterward we removed the turkey from the basket with silicone oven mitts.

Today I intend to order two Masterbuilt/Butterball Oil-Free Electric Turkey Fryers as gifts for dear friends, one who can never seem to get her turkey done and another who has only one oven. For both of them, preparation of Christmas dinner will be much easier and stress-free.

The electric turkey fryer is a good choice if you don't want the mess or hazards of using oil for deep frying. For the money it does an okay job of doing nothing more than cooking your turkey and collecting the drippings. All in all, only buy this product if you want to make room in your oven or grill to cook somthing else at the same time. One good thing about this fryer though is the wood chip tray for smoking. It seems to impart good smoke into the meat. Perhaps this fryer will work better as a low temp smoker. Will try that next. So, in short, if you are looking for that deep fried crispiness and look...this won't give you that.

My bad that I got this the day BEFORE Thanksgiving so I had no chance to test before BOY, did I get lucky!! I made the best turkey in the history of man!! It was so great, in fact; we did a "do-over" two weeks later to prove it wasn't a fluke ... Nope! Was again perfect juicy & AMAZING!!

Brined the turkey the night before, put outside on my patio & just kept an eye on it. I cooked a 12.5 lbs turkey in 1.75 hours! Bottom has a cup to catch drippings so made perfect gravy. Crispy skin as if it had been fried but none of the oil mess to clean up. Clean up was super easy just washed the bucket & stand the turkey was in.

I highly recommend this product. Only thing to be aware of is that you will have NO LEFTOVERS because the turkey is so fabulous everybody takes it home with them!

Brined my 16 pound turkey and also injected it with butter and chicken broth. Was the most evenly cooked and juiciest turkey I ever prepared. However, it takes a very long time to heat up and did not ever reach "HI" and turn off. Tried to heat it up to do another and after an hour, gave up. It was very cold outside, so will try again when not so cold, as really like the way the first turkey came out. I think the name "turkey fryer" is a misnomer, since there is no frying associated with it. Outdoor roaster would be more appropriate, in my humble opinion.

We had removed an old trash compactor from the original owner of our house and needed to fill this odd 12" opening in our cabinet. This wine cooler was perfect. Brainless to install, and runs great. Only complaint is that it's a bit noisy...

This product seems to work fine and looks good. It just seems very expensive considering other models I have considered. The biggest selling point for me was the size. It was the only one that fit the undercounter space I had. So, for that, I am grateful.

We moved/downsized to a smaller home and were forced to sell our much larger U-Line wine refrigerator. Space limitations required that we buy two narrow (12" wide) Danby wine cellars, one for whites and the other for reds. I don't have them under-counter installed, I have them situated back to back at the end of a double width kitchen island. The exterior is black so you hardly notice they are there with our dark coutertops & dark wood cabinetry. I reversed the door on one unit so now they both open away from the island You must open the door wide to slide out shelves. The height is about 1.5" below the 36" height of the island so my carpenter son is going to build a butcher block walnut cover to extend across the tops of the two units. The shelves have stainless fronts which blend well with our modern kitchen design. The shelves slide out a little balky when loaded but I've gotten used to it. The storage configuration of each shelf is economical and 4 "normal" height & shape wine bottles will fit on each shelf including fatter Pinot Noir bottles. Taller shouldered bottles and sparkling wine bottles make the fit a little less efficient as you can only get 2-3 non-standard shapes on each shelf. So... I only get about 21 bottles in each unit, instead of the specified 27, with my typical mix of bottle types. These two units have maintained very stable temperature thus far, even through a recent heat wave. The operating noise level, which seems to come mostly from the fan inside, isn't any louder than our new GE refrigerator, we hardly notice it. I haven't identified any particular noise from the compressor operation. Visually, I like the small door handle at the top of the door, no knee-knockers in the kitchen! The blue interior lighting is subtle and you can turn it off if desired. With the interior lighting off, you can only see the blue digital temp reading. I cannot comment yet on long term reliability as I've only had the two Danbys for a couple of weeks. However, they do have a 2 year manufacturer's warranty, twice as long as other comparable 12" wide models like Whynter and Edgestar.

Good little fridge. The disco-blue hued cabinet light is unfortunate, but better than no light at all. It is a decent buy.

Manufacturer's packing leaves a lot to be desired. After 4 delivery attempts, I finally received an undamaged cooler. It fit perfectly where the old trash compactor had been. Looks great and so far it is working great.

I have no way of recording how many times this circuit has activated but since installing it there have been numerous power interruptions(10-20 maybe more). Salt accumulating on powerline insulators and such are being blamed for this activity due to the severe drought along the coastal areas of Texas.

I guess I got a jump on the situation by recognizing that my new higher efficient A/C wasn't delaying after these glitches earlier in the season. I think the thermostat is supposed to delay a restart after a dropout but evidently is not fast enough. Also there could be some erratic or undetermined interruptions. The ICM491 kills the relay @ .05+ sec. I think that is faster than two complete cycles. My older A/C had a circuit for this and it lasted 32+ years without losing a compressor. I needed a delay ckt. that was powered by the feeding 240v. I had to do some searching to find this unit and finally found it described ,I think at ICM's site. Found the best price at Amazon and soon had it in my hands.

All I needed to install it in about an hour was four female 1/4in. quick disconnect terminal connectors because the unit had only male 1/4in. spade connectors, 4 different colored 12in. wires, a small twist on connector and a roll of black electrical tape to wrap all twistons to secure them and protect from the enviornment.

To install I waited till A/C finished its cycle and turned the thermostat off-then killed the ckt. breaker in main box and at outside condenser unit. Checked to make sure voltages were off and hooked up the wires marked for 240v of the ICM941 one each to the red and black feed wires from ckt. breaker (polarity didn't matter). Broke one of the twiston connectors from the thermostat, connected one wire from the ICM941 n/c (normally closed) terminal and the other wire from ICM941 n/c(normally closed) terminal to the other wire that was separated by the break. Set the voltage for 120/240 and the delay time to 2min. Turned thermostat on and main ckt. breaker handed my timer stopwatch and energized the local sw/ckt breaker and timer. Got 2mins. 17sec. delay before compressor started. Reasoning for using normally closed contacts on the ICM941 is that is the position provided when the unit is energized. When voltage drops out .05sec. this ckt is opened and will not close to start the compressor again until 2-3mins. appx. (compressor unload time).

This is the 2nd one I have bought the 1st from amazon. I have it installed on my A/C compressor to protect from power surges. It has saved my compressor 2 times that I know of. Previously I had lost 4 compressors to power surges.

I got one of these as a present and have been very satisfied. Sandwiched between just one layer of sheets and a thin bedspread, this blanket puts out enough heat to keep me toasty even when my room gets down to 50 degrees! Setting it to just level 2 out of 10 about 20 minutes before bed is all I need to stay warm. I got curious as to the energy usage of this blanket and plugged it into a Kill-A-Watt electric meter. The blanket draws .5 watts when plugged in and off, and around 150 watts with both sides on. It appears to cycle between drawing power and not, probably drawing power more often at higher heat settings and less at lower settings. I left mine on at level 2 overnight and it drew .2 kWh overnight. Electricity where I am is $0.15/kWh (a bit high for the rest of the US) meaning that it'll cost me about 3 pennies a night or less than $10 a year to stay warm and cut my nightly gas bill to $0! Great investment, easily pays for itself in a year in a chilly area.

I bought this for my Mom to replace her old blanket. She says it works great. It is a lot warmer than her old blanket, so much so it is now her only blanket and she keeps it on low. Her old blanket took forever to warm up and she had to keep it near high to be warm enough.

We love the nice even heating of this blanket. Would highly recommend it. Keeps us very toasty warm during the cold wet winter.

Honest reviews on Sunbeam Royal Nights Heated Blanket, Queen, Navy

i love it, except for the color. they all seem to be crappy colors. didnt have light blue and i needed one and this was the only color in queen, i suppose it is supposed to be dark blue, but it is WAY darker than the picture. but it works great, so i could care less about the color, i give it five stars for functionality. i usually keep previous ones on 4 and lower, this was no exception, mississippi, not too cold, even when cold. lol. love the silk lining at top. blanket is comfortable even when not turned on. only had it on the one setting last night, i am loving it. i dont like the controllers. two seperate on off buttons, why not a rocker switch. also, the knobs are huge with divits cut around it, it turns way too easy with no clicks to tell when you get to the next setting. it does have a backlit led on controllers which arent too bad. i still rate it a five because it performs excellently.

I just moved from Houston to San Francisco during December. I was waking up cold at night in the new climate. I ordered this electric blanket and the first night under it was a dream. It has a very nice even heat distribution, and it's light and breathes well. I put it above the top sheet and covered it with another light fleece blanket and light comforter. It kept me nice and warm without ever feeling hot. I love using it to prewarm the bed before turning in for the night. I usually set it to med-hi to warm the bed, then turn it down to about 3-4 when I climb in it. The dual zones are great. I like medium warm and my partner likes really warm. It has a nice satin border at the top that is very comfortable to the touch. The plugin at the bottom is sturdy, and easy to connect, and a little built-in clip keeps it from detaching accidentally. The cord to the dual control units is long enough to allow sufficient length to comfortably set them on the bedside tables. A lighted LCD panel allows you to easily see what setting you're on if you wake and need to adjust the heat up or down. The automatic shut off is 11 hours; allowing for a convenient period of time to prewarm the bed, a full night's sleep, and then shuts off shortly afterward without leaving you laying in a cold bed.

I love this blanket and highly recommend it.

All Broan/Nutone heaters and exhaust blowers I purchased are noisy and vibrate excesivly. The positive is that one can hear if any fan is on,no matter where you are in the house.

This model was everything that it was advertised to be. However when buying any newer products in todays market one must keep in mind you CAN NOT make a direct compaireson to an older model that you are replaceing! In this case the newer model was more noticeable when operating(noise level) than the model of 25yrs that it replaced. I was extreamly pleased with this purchase and the ease of dealing with amazon. I HIGHLY RECOMEND This product and Amazon.com.

The diminsions were off a trifle but it seems to work fine. It heats the bathroom very well. The older heater was a higher

wattage unit but this is fine.

Honest reviews on Broan Model 9810WH High Capacity Wall Heater with 1000 Watt Fan

I installed this Broan heater for a failed (30+ years) Newtone heater. The Broan fit into the same wall space with only a small bit ot hole enlargement.

The 1000 watt heater is a good choice for the space. The thermostat is better than the one in the Newtone.

The fan (a squirrel-cage blower) in the Broan is NOISY. Although the blower fan is quieter, the motor mount is such that there is a lot of AC HUM vibration. So, the rating of 3 stars It's OK but NOISY!

I am using this for the bathroom at 220v. Starts to heat slowly and has a built in fan which will distribute heat but is a lot cooler compared to my old one which is just on and off. This has heat control setting too.
