I needed a heater fan in a hurry due to an acting up regulator on a radiator. Much to my surprise when I went to the store there was a Vornado. Vornados the best out there. it was listed at $55.00 but was sold out.

So I see this Sunbeam for $24.00 for some comfort until I fix the radiator I figure it's worth it.

BOY WAS I SURPRISED. This baby heat up my bedroom pronto. Granted its not for 2 bedrooms but boy for the size of it did it do the job. Heres some specs.

Pros.

1st. It has a high and low button setting.

2nd. You can adjust the desired temperature with the push of a button.

3rd. The fan Oscillates. This product also works as a fan.

4th. The face plate or covering does not get hot.

5th. The fan shuts off once the temperature is attained. It's safe.

6th. In a 30 by 30 foot closed bedroom this appliance will heat it fast.

7th. Price

Cons.

1st. Build quality after throwing it around a bit the Oscillator needs to be moved by hand in order for it to work correctly. My fault.

2nd. The fan itself for cooling yourself off in the summer not good but this is a heating fan.

The Sunbeam works super for the price I paid for it. 2yrs have gone by and the regulator on my radiator remains the same as the day I bought the Sunbeam. Get it.

This heater did wonders out on a camping trip with my wife. it got into the 40's and with the oscillation feature my 16x11 two room tent stayed nice and cozy at night. even after running for hours i could still touch the front or back of it so it is great for people with children.

I had already bought two of these elsewhere for six dollars more than here, and when I saw them here at this price I bought a third and am already using it. These are simply fantastic heaters. They are quiet, oscillate if you want them to, allow you to specify the exact temperature you want, and do not use much electricity. I went the entire winter without turning the heat up over 60 degrees because I had two of these in the two rooms I live in most. My electric bill was hundreds of dollars lower, and I was just as comfortable as when I used the furnace, except I was able to get much more precise temperature control with these. I've been looking everywhere so I could buy a third heater and was delighted to find it here at a lower price and for free shipping. My sister had bought a different and much more expensive type of heater, but after seeing how mine work she took hers back and bought one of these from Amazon. She is very impressed with how quickly it heats up her large bedroom and simply loves it.

You just plug this heater in, press the round button in the middle, and press either the left or right button to make the temperature go higher or lower. When you're done using it, you press the button to turn it off and it will count down 10 seconds and turn off the fan. To get the red light to go out, you unplug it.

I did notice that this one has a "new" smell when you plug it in, and you have to run it for awhile to get rid of that.

I purchased this shortly before Christmas and it is now not powering on. Was nice while it worked but a one month lifespan tells me that Sunbeam isn't really concerned about quality control.

Purchased one for our popup camper about two months ago. We've been winter camping down here in Texas 5 times since I purchased this unit. With only one unit in our 14ft popup, i can easily keep the interior temperature at 75deg even through nights near at or below freezing. This unit is very quiet and being able to set the thermostat to the temperature you want is fantastic. We liked it so much we've purchased two more for around the house use.

The nicest thing about it is that you can put your hand on the front and back grill while it's running and not burn yourself....even after it's been running for an hour or more.

I highly recommend this product.

This heater operates as advertised if the thermocouple-secured shutoff valve allows the flame to turn on. It takes a lot of fiddling with the shutoff valve to turn to the two 'on' positions even after the pilot has been lit for 15 min. The pilot alignment appears to be as shown on the instruction manual. I find this difficult lighting to be a nuisance.

If you buy this part, make sure you give it 24 hours to work. I was expecting it to start working right away as soon as I installed it. I was very frustrated when I didn't see the dial start to spin when installed. I actually took the part out and sent it back thinking it was defective. Well it turns out the part has an internal thermostat that has to get cold to the right temperature in order to kick the icemaker on. They failed to leave out this very important bit of information. The common lay person would never know this. So don't send it back, give it 24hrs to work!

When installing this replacement icemaker be sure to use a small level. If the icemaker is not level the water will overflow and make a mess. Yes I made the mistake so you wont!! The on/off arm is smaller and shaped differently than shown in the picture so I used the old on/off arm. The kit came with several different wire harnesses(4)and two tubes. I didn't need to replace the water tube. All in all this was easy to install and the best price that I found. The manufacture name on the box is Supco (Sealed Unit Parts Co. Inc.). Part name on box is RIM500 Modular icemaker service kit. Replaces: Whirpool 4317943, 978556, Maytag and subzero.

After having read the other product reviews, I decided to buy this icemaker. It was delivered 3 days after the order was placed. It fit the freezer just like the old one and made ice within 4 hours. There are instructions on youtube to assist you with this installation. I used the instructions provided given by W. Stohler in his review. They are as follows:

1. Unplug the refrigerator, or turn off the circuit breaker.

2. Loosen the top two screws, and remove the lower screw.

3. Lift the old icemaker off the two loosened screws.

4. Unplug the electrical connector (push in on the white clip, or it won't release).

5. Remove the wiring harness from the old icemaker (you have to remove the front cover to access the white clip first).

6. Move the steel clip for the wire harness on the new icemaker to the same position as on the old icemaker.

7. Install the appropriate wiring harness on the new icemaker.

8. Carefully cut out the 'cut-away' hole for the water trough (see old icemaker so you know which one to cut out).

9. Install the bottom bracket on the new icemaker.

10. Remove the level bar from the old icemaker and install it on the new one. It is longer and will work better.

11. Attach the new icemaker wiring harness to the freezer wiring harness.

12. Hang the new icemaker on the loosened screws.

13. Level icemaker then tighten loosened screws and install bottom screw on newly installed bracket.

14. Insert on-off arm in correct slot, and swing down.

15. Restore power to refrigerator.

16. Wait. My unit took 90 minutes to create the first batch of ice, and made one batch every 60-90 minutes for 36 hours until the tray was full. Success!

Good Luck

DO NOT buy this item, as the unit you will recieve is not the same as the one pictured, or described. Unit came without shutoff arm, wiring harnesses, installation hardware or instrcutions. Called seller to inquire and was told amazon made a mistake and has the wrong picture displayed. According to the CSR, this has happened to several other people as well. But guess what, for a mere extra $20 they offered to sell me one that looks just like the picture. This is an absolute bait and switch, false advertising, etc...Seller also would not authorize a return or refund. Buy at your own risk! Part number that arrived is W10190965, mfr is FSP. Again, not what was listed in the description....

This is my third tankless hot water heater. Absolutely loved the first two. This one, however, has limitations I've never seen: maximum hot water temperature setting is 120 degrees. Living in SE Alaska, I need really hot water. I was pleased with the shower temperature, but for washing dishes, the water is just not hot enough. It never gets hot enough that you can't stick your hands in it. Put it into a dish basin/sink, however, and it's rapidly tepid. I never expected to have to heat hot water on the stove to wash my dishes having spent over $1000 (with required piping/plumbing) on this. I'd need at least another 20-30 degrees in temperature for adequately hot water for dish washing. My previous 2 tankless systems had plenty of hot water, and the ability to set the temperatures appropriately; the limitation on this one makes it sub-par, to say the least. If you live in a cold winter climate, such as the northern US, I'd try to find a different system if I were you.

The water heater stopped working on a Saturday after 7 months.

Called customer service, was told the replacement parts will be sent out the next Monday, and arrive on early Tuesday morning. Well, once the package arrived Tuesday afternoon, it turned out Rheem sent out only 1 part, missing the other part that was promised to be sent out in the beginning! I was told to wait for two more days for the other part to arrive, and the contractor will come to fix the problem only after the parts have arrived. Horrible customer service, can't believe they messed up such an easy task, and keep my family suffering from no hot water in the house.

The reason I give 2 star instead of 1 star is that when it works, the water heater works great.

Here in MI things get cold quick and living in a cold finished basement makes things tough. My computer room is a tiny 6x10 and doesn't have vents for heat. The hallway near the doorway lacks them as well so it gets very cold. When I saw this heater for i figured to give it a try for that room.

The heat is just about instant. No waiting for it to warm up. The thermostat works nice to keep the room at a very comfortable level. Nice to have so you don't have to keep adjusting and turning on and off. Sound is very quiet. Much more quiet than my normal desk fan, but it sits on the floor under the desk. I just realized its sitting right on the carpet and I wouldn't worry about it falling over or anything. It is very sturdy and kicking it somewhat gently doesn't knock it over. The unit is very cool to the touch even while running. I actually picked it up while running and was examining the bottom.

I was kinda disappointed about one thing. From the picture on the box I assumed it would oscillate which would be a cool feature, but since its only its not a big deal at all. It does have a swivel base that turns about 45 degrees either way, but with it being so light I don't see a point.

This unit is 1500 watts ... um or amps ... whichever the case, my computer is a gamer computer and it draws ... a lot. So the point is that when I am gaming, I have noticed that every time the heater kicks on the lights dim a little bit just for a split second since I have them both running off the same circuit. I don't know if I would put them in the same outlet ... but then again nothing goes into the same outlet as the PC anyways.

Pros: light, quiet, instant heat, doubles as a fan, PRICE!

Cons: not really any unless you need one that oscillates or you are going to land an airplane with your Christmas lights this year.

I used this both for cooling (in fan-only mode) and heating. The heat works great, and it warms up almost instantly. The cooling side is good, but it doesn't push as much air as some regular fans, so I need it a 2-3 feet away to feel enough breeze to cool me.

The plastic grill does rapidly change color to show it's hot, but I found that unneeded because the grill itself never gets hot. At times, I've had it accidently fall over or get covered, and it's never overheated or made something crispy. :-)

The thermostat also works well, and is easy and user-friendly to adjust. The fan is very quiet; sometimes I don't notice it's on. It's very lightweight and is easily swiveled to fine-tune the direction.

Mine finally died after frequent use for 8-10 months, but I feel I got my money's worth, and I'm buying another to replace it.

Bought this to warm a cold study but it started sparking on the 3rd use ( and past time I could return it). Completely defective I can hear loose wire when I pick it up. The sparks were frightening if I hadn't been in the room I don't know what might have happened but now I understand how space heaters burn houses down.

Honest reviews on Holmes HFH421-U Heater Fan with Adjustable Thermostat

I bought this in the winter of 2007 to heat a cold office. It worked well and I used it for a few hours each weekday for two winters. Toward the end of the third winter (last year), it started turning off after a few minutes of use. Now it stays on for about two minutes and then shuts off for 5-10 minutes. It's not being used in an enclosed space or with anything close to it; it seems to be sensing overheating without actually overheating. Maybe I'm expecting too much by thinking this should have lasted longer, but two and a half winters of use just doesn't seem like enough. I wouldn't recommend this heater.

Great deal! Gets cold very fast and has a lot of room!

I would definitely recommend this freezer to anyone.

Best Deals on Danby DUF408WE 4.2 cu.ft. Upright Freezer - White

The perfect half freezer for my needs. I like the energy saving aspect in that the motor shuts down when the door has been closed for an extensive period of time and the inner temp maintains itself. It holds the perfect amount of overflow meats and frozen foods for my large family. I had a larger freezer that held twice as much but a lot of the food gets lost and ignored! Smaller is better for usage and consumption.

*The door has trouble closing as it sort of bounces when slammed shut and pops open. Therefore, frost results and makes it worse. I have defrosted it a few times but the problem persists and I am going to secure it with a Velcro strap. I still feel it is very functional.

Honest reviews on Danby DUF408WE 4.2 cu.ft. Upright Freezer - White

this little thing is great and it even gets below 0 F!!! Plop a small fan or 2 in there and I've got a flash freezer! Really impressed with this freezer. It says to keep it away from the wall around 6 or 8 inches, but it barely produces any heat (unless I leave the door open :-/)

Purchased in 8/7/2012

This little freezer is still going strong. I've had to defrost it twice and I live in a high humidity area, which is actually a really good record, even thought I only open it one or twice a week. I've had it backed against a wall for a couple of months off and on and had no problem. After almost a year it was a good price.

This portable space heater by Lasko helps to cut my electric bill. At first I wasn't sure if should get this or a space heater that works with oil inside of it; but I'm glad I got this one instead. It couldn't be easier to set up--just take it out of the box and plug it in! Although you should read the four pages of instructions in order to be familiar with general precautions and to know how to use the timer feature and a couple other extra features, it amazed me just how intuitive it is to get this thing up and running.

In addition, it's easy to lift--it's very lightweight, especially after you remove it from the box; and there's a neat timer function so that you can "program" this to turn off at a set time up to 8 hours in advance. Great! The machine also turns on or off automatically depending on how close it is to making your room the exact temperature you specify by pressing the plus and minus buttons to set temperature.

After you turn it on, be aware that within 20 to 30 seconds you're going to feel the heat begin to blast upward from this unit, so don't get too close to the top of it after you turn it on. Another cautionary note, at least according to the instructions, is that the device can possibly leave a permanent stain on hardwood or similar floors. If this is a concern for you, keep looking for another portable space heater. My carpeting is practically industrial strength and I have plenty of extra pieces of the carpeting in one of my closets so I personally am not too concerned about any staining that may or may not result from my using this heater.

Overall, this is a great little heater that pleasantly surprised me when I realized just how powerful it really is. Although it's not for everybody (i.e., people with hardwood floors may want to stay away) it suits me fine and I recommend it for heating rooms up to roughly 300 square feet especially when the floors are not hardwood.

Nice floor level space heater that literally makes no noise. It does take a little bit to warm up a decent sized room, but what I like is there is no noise. Convenient remote control, digital temperature read out, takes up very little space. Would recommend to assist central heat. I would not count on this unit to heat a home. Would purchase again, acutally I did. I bought a second one for grandma's kitchen...

After trying a stand up convection heater which took 7-9 hours to heat up our living, dining and kitchen rooms (about 400 sq feet of a 900 sq. ft apt.), we decided to try another type of heater. This heater is the best for this purpose. We do close off the bedrooms and bathrooms but this heater only takes two to three hours to heat up our living room, dining room and kitchen areas. We live in san diego and it is usually about 62 degrees in the mornings here. We warm the apt to about 71-72 degrees. I think that it would warm faster if we had decent insulation in the building and better insulated windows (Including a sliding glass door) but it is an apt so we cant change that. The apt was built in the 60's and management won't go for upgrading anything. What I am saying is if you have a better insulated house or apt you prob don't need to section off rooms by closing doors and it will prob even heat up faster. I would def. recommend this heater for heating a apt. I love it. It does have a countdown timer built into itself that will turn it off after 1-8 hours, but not one that will turn it on at a certain hour of the early morning. It also won't work with a timer plug to turn it on at early hours of the morning either because of the built in timer interferes with this function. Buy it. You will be happy if you have been trying to find some alternative to decently heat your apt.

After almost 15 years of using my old sandwich grill, decided to buy a new one. Expected thenproduct would be moving up in quality and better performance but sadly was disappointed in both aspects. The sandwiches are not browned or crispy, come out rather flat. The metal in the grill and the clasp to bring in the grill together are both of poor quality and feel flimsy.

Lastly, the product looked used when delivered and not sure if it was a returned item that was shipped again. Not a good buy!

I've had a Sunpentown 1200H portable air conditioner for over 10 years and it is still going strong! Needless to say, when I decided to upgrade, become more "green," and save on electricity, I chose the WA1300 with its energy efficience rating being over 12. I learned anything above 10 is good, so 12 must be very good, wouldn't know until I get my electric bill. Unfortunately, the first item delivered was not working well, the compressor was damaged during delivery. Called Sunpentown and the problem identified. With little hessitation, an exchange was quickly arranged. In less than a week, I have my new portable, just in time for the hot, humid weather. Easily set it up last night, plugged it in and it works like a charm, no surprises from having used one of these before, for over 10 years! All night, a comfortable sleep. Would I recommend this product? If experience is a deciding factor, from my experience dealing with Sunpentown, you bet I would. This is the 2nd electric throw I've bought. The first one is easily snagged. This one does not snag when the kitty sleeps on my lap. My only issue is that "high" is too high. It would be nice to have a sliding heat scale, rather than three fixed settings.

I bought this heated throw, because I can stay cold all day long. Love it!!! Minor complaint is that the control cord is rather short I am a short person 5'4", with the control plugged in at my feet, the hand switch still only reaches mid-thigh level. This might be problematic for a taller person. Really loved the color and it is quite warm even when turned off.

Mr. Coffee MWBLK Mug Warmer Reviews

Mr. Coffee MWBLK Mug Warmer
Customer Ratings: 4 stars

As with everything, I went on a search of all mug warmers in the universe before buying this one. I found a universal complaint of ALL mug warmer reviewers (of any brand) was "doesn't get hot enough" (especially the USB models). I think the manufacturers walk a thin line between "doesn't get hot enough" and setting the house on fire.

Initially, I tried putting a cold cup of coffee upon my new Mr. Coffee and was disappointed in the warmer's ability to heat up an already cold cup of coffee. (tried both metal and ceramic mug)

The good news is that if you put a fresh hot cup of coffee right from the coffee maker onto the "burner" that it does a pretty good job in keeping it hot from that point. I review this as satisfactory performance and give extra credit for its slim and sleek design.

Click Here For Most Helpful Customer Reviews >>

I bought my Mr. Coffee mug warmer locally at a store. I wasn't expecting much out of it because of the reviews about it here on Amazon, but hey it was really cheap, under ten bucks. I was pleasantly surprised at how it kept my cup of tea consistently very warm throughout the day while I'm at work. This is how hot the heating plate can get: put a drop or two of water on it, and the drops will sizzle and evaporate quickly. The key to getting the best experience out of using the Mr. Coffee mug warmer is to use with a cup of HOT tea/coffee/soup/whatever. It won't make your cold beverage hot again (use a microwave for that).

I've had it for several months now, using it daily, and it's performed very well! Here is the deal with temperatures. If you place a hot cup of tea/coffee on it, it keeps it hot! Not the burn your tongue hot. As you drink, the cup becomes less full, and actually heats the contents more. Also, I've placed a half full cup of cold coffee on it, and it heated it up to a nice warm temperature within a few minutes. The heating plate will accommodate larger coffee mugs. The only disadvantage I've noticed with it is the counter gets rather warm were it is placed, so keep flammables and paper away to be safe. Also it does not have a auto shutoff that I'm aware of, however I have it plugged into a power box with motion control, so if I leave my desk for a long period it will shut off. I also try to make sure the bottom of my mug is dry before setting the cup down on it, to keep the heating plate clean. So if your like me and like sipping on tea or coffee at the office, with out going to refill for a hot cup every time your liquids get cold, then you'll be happy with this warmer.

Honest reviews on Mr. Coffee MWBLK Mug Warmer

A lot of reviewers have stated that this hot plate does not get warm enough to keep your coffee hot. I disagree, but also think I know why they are having that experience. How well this warmer works is extremely sensitive to the shape of your coffee mug, in particular the way that the bottom is. I did some controlled experiments to determine how much heat this warmer puts into a liquid in a cup and found as much as 30 degrees of variation between different mugs of the same or similar material.

The bottom line, is that any hotplate style coffee warmer depends on maximum surface area contact with the bottom of your mug. If you have a mug that is broad and flat at the bottom, filling the heating surface of the warmer, it will work great. If you mug is very narrow at the bottom or arches up so that only the edge is touching, the heater cannot be as effective.

You should either buy a different mug, or forego this energy wasting method altogether, in favor of a well insulated stainless steel vacuum mug like the ones from Contigo. Personally, I like the taste of coffee best out of a real mug, so I continue to use this warmer, just with a broad based mug.

I don't know why so many people have trouble with this item. My mother-in-law gave this to me well over a month ago and I think it's the greatest thing since TIVO. The key is to use a regular size cup with a flat bottom (not the ginormous ceramic cups that are more like SOUP bowls and only have a tiny bottom), and to put it on the warmer as soon as you pour the coffee into the cup. It WILL keep it not just warm, but HOT. It is 3:30 in the afternoon right now and I am still sipping on a HOT cup of coffee that I poured at 8:00 this morning. The lower the liquid gets, the hotter it gets, so be careful. I've also found that putting a piece of paper over the cup (like a piece of junk mail or an old CD case--without the CD inside, of course) will infinitely increase the heat factor, though it's not too safe and really isn't necessary (I've done it a few times when the dogs were shedding and my husband wanted the ceiling fans on didn't want dog hair in my cup, so I covered it...and it was so hot I burned my tongue.) Regardless, this item (the Mr. Coffee Mug *WARMER*) is not meant to heat up cold liquids; that's what microwaves were invented for. This is a great product when used properly and at the very least, it does what it was intended to do: keep beverages warm.

UPDATE 5/16/2011

It's been almost 5 years since I've purchased this pizzelle iron, and I'm happy to say that it's still functioning just as well as the first day I got it. We actually use this machine a lot more since we have kids now these little wafer cookies are still a breeze to make...best part is that it's so fast that the kids don't have time to start whining "are they done yet?" Quick tip use a mini cookie scoop to scoop out the batter. It's just the right amount to use, and you won't have to fiddle with two spoons when dropping the dough onto the griddle. The Norpro 25mm cookie scoop (a little over a teaspoon) is just the right size, so you don't have to worry about batter squeezing out through the sides.

I love this pizzelle iron it's fast, clean, and helps me make one mean pizzelle! I bought this for my husband for Valentine's Day (and yes, I did make the pizzelles for him his favorite dessert!) and he's been asking for more pizzelles ever since! Another plus the pizzelle sizes are big enough to make one scoop ice cream bowls perfect for people like me who don't like a huge serving of dessert all at once (but who won't turn down a second serving if it was around..!) I would definitely buy this again!

For my dollar, this pizzelle baker was definitely worth it. It bakes the pizzelles very evenly, does not require any non-stick spray or anything like that, and it cleans up in a snap!

I would still like to know what I have to do to pour exactly the right amount of batter & where to place it to get a perfect pizzelle every time. It would also be nice if there were a signal to let you know when it's done.

Bottom line, if you don't want to spend a fortune, and you like pizzelles, I highly recommend the VillaWare V3600-NS PREGO Pizzelle Baker !

Sorry this is so long but a lot of people don't know what pizelle are so I'm being really detailed.

Pizelles are thin Italian cookies cooked 1or 2-at a time in a pizelle iron. A century ago cast iron pizelle irons were held over the stove, but my grandmother gave hers up as soon as the decent electric ones came out in the 1960s.

This pizelle baker is VERY nice. The non-stick coating is easy to clean and the pizelle don't stick (be sure to use wooden utensils and only wipe clean with a paper towel so you don't scratch the coating). The iron heats quickly (maybe 5 minutes) and keeps constant temperature (I've had it about 2 years and have made at least a dozen batches of pizelle and haven't had any problems). Like MANY kitchen appliances, however, the cord is too short, IMHO they do that so you don't accidentally pull the hot iron off the table, but you really shouldn't use an extension cord. For countertop use the cord length is fine. When I make pizelle, however, I like to sit (it takes about an hour to cook a 12-egg recipe), so I move my kitchen table near an outlet and put the iron on the table.

The baker comes with a recipe book. The first recipe is the traditional anise-flavored pizelle (anise tastes a lot like licorice, but don't let that discourage you if you've never tried it), and it's a good recipe. I skip the anise extract and add a slightly heaping teaspoon (for 6 eggs) of real anise seed that I crush in my palm before adding (anise seed is available in Hispanic markets). If you have an old recipe that calls for oil, you'll have to switch to butter to use the electric irons. Compare you old recipe to the modern ones and use a little experimentation and they'll taste just like your grandma's pizelle.

If you've never made pizelle, don't be afraid. Use a mixer to make the batter, which will be thick (again, if you remember your grandma making these, the old batters are thin and runny those don't work well in the electric irons). Preheat the iron until the light goes off. Use 1 Tablespoon of batter per pizelle (you cook 2 at a time in this iron). A small cookie scoop works brilliantly. Place the batter a little behind the center of each 'waffle' pattern and a little towards the center of the iron, because closing it spreads the batter forward and out a little. Let the iron close gently (don't push down), and then gently close it all the way you'll see steam come out and hear hissing. Latch the handle shut and cook the pizelles until the steam mostly stops open gently so if the pizelle isn't cooked enough you can close the iron again to continue cooking. The lights have nothing to do with the cooking they just let you know the iron is plugged in or heating. Some people prefer pizelle browned and others like them pale your choice. When it's cooked, use a wooden spoon or fork to gently move the pizelle to where you can grab it (watch for singed fingers you can use tongs) and put it on a rack to cool. It will crisp as it cools don't taste it until it gets a little crisp (so you know what it really tastes like). If you haven't used the iron in a while throw out the first batch. After you've cooked a few pizelle you'll be a pro.

The big problem is using too much batter or placing the batter in the wrong place. Put too little rather than too much. If you put too much some batter will ooze out the sides scrape it off with a wooden spoon after it cooks and don't worry about it, but be sure to clean the iron carefully (dry paper towel only!) after you've finished and cooled it off. Store it with a clean paper towel folded and placed in it. You don't really wash the iron and you don't have to oil or season it. Cooking the first 2 pizelle each time seasons the iron.

When you're done leave the iron open to cool. You should only have to wipe the cooled iron carefully with a paper towel.

If you want to make ice cream cones or dessert cups, you shape the hot pizelle right as it comes from the iron. Drape over a small Pyrex cup (or place inside) to make a dessert cup. Drape over a rolling pin to make a `dessert taco shell'.

The pizelles made with this iron usually don't `fill out' to the edges of the molds, so you get irregular-shaped edges, but they're still delicious. I think if you really wanted the molds to fill completely the batter would have to be a little thinner than called for in the first recipe in the cookbook (the only one I've tested). Pizelle keep for several days, if they last that long.

if you have a problem with your pizzelle sticking just add more butter or margerine. Also if you use one teaspoon full it will be perfect. I also just used a flast spatulla to take the pizzelles out. also if you have a digital timer it makes pizzelle making much easier. it would take me about 40-45 seconds for each pizzelle. depends on how brown you want them. the digital timer i used was bought at a dollar store. they are a wonderful gift. hope you enjoy making them as much as i do.
