After receiving my refrigerator, I found that the only thing that worked was the light came on when you opened the door. The cooling system did not work from either power source. Called Koolatron about warranty and was told to contact vendor. Guess defective merchandise doesn't concern them. Vendor had me return unit at my own expense ($78.84) for them to verify the problem. They confirmed the unit was bad and shipped a replacement but refused to reimburse the cost of sending the defective unit back. Contacted Koolatron again and was once again told that it was my problem and not their's. Was really concerned that if the second fridge didn't work, would I have to again pay another shipping charge? The replacement does work but feel I had to unfairly pay an additional $78.84 for that privledge. Will never do business again with a company that has such a cavalier attitude about customer satisfaction.

The fridge works well (items remained quite cold inc. meat) but it deadened our battery after we switched the car off for 10hrs. We ended up unplugging it o/night which sort of defeated the purpose of having the fridge vs. an esky. Would work best with a 2nd battery.

I've had this unit for 6+ years and it's worked great. I don't have A/C, just heat. the sensor has varried by only about 1 degree the entire time. unlike another reviewerI replace the batteries (2 AAA) maybe every 2-3 years. programming is pretty straight forward.

What a joke! This thermostat was installed by the furnace company who were installing a new multi-stage furnace. It eats batteries and when you go to replace them, you have to completely open the entire unit, where upon the batteries pop out into your face! There is no backup retention of your programmed settings, so you have to reprogram this unit every time you replace the batteries, which is often. So I don't even bother programming it any more, I just leave it on "Hold" to maintain my preset temp. I could spend $35 for a non-programmable unit and have the added advantage of not having to deal with the constant battery changes!!!

I had this thermostat in my home for 3 years. It mysteriously failed for 3 days last year (no AC) and then suddenly worked right before the AC repair man could arrive. It worked another year and experienced same issue but never regained consciousness. It would not keep the numerically selected setting. I could actually stand there and watch it climb or drop over 10 degrees in a matter of seconds, which in turn would immediately shut off either my heat or AC, whichever. Backup batteries were not related to this issue. Owners manual had no customer service hot line number for me to call (another nice touch, very professional). It now adorns the local landfill. Try a Rite Temp touch-pad at half the price.

To select heat, a/c or fan you have to swing down the plastic cover that makes up the lower third of the faceplate. This cover is flimsy and feels like it won't stay on there long (this unit was installed when I had a new furnace installed a month ago.)

Also the up/down pushbuttons are very hard to use you have to push them dead on-center to register. After a month, I still get it right only 50% of the time.

Operating instructions are not easy to read.

I picked up two of these last winter for my kids rooms. We live in very northern Minnesota, where sub-zero winter temperatures are very common. When it gets that cold outside, keeping rooms in the house that are on the outer edges warm can be tricky, without overheating the center of the house. So for years we've used oil heaters, which require little to no babysitting. We have two very large electric fireplaces in our home already, and my kids have always wanted little ones for their rooms for cold days. They especially wanted them for when they get home from school and would like to warm their bedrooms up quickly. They've only just now gotten old enough (pre-teens) where I feel confident they could easily manage one of these small heaters themselves without me worrying.

So last Christmas they each got one for their bedrooms as a gift. They are very small, so they don't take up much room. No more than a tiny nightstand would. The blower in the heater is at the bottom, so the top and the front stays completely cool. So there's no worrying that anyone might burn themselves on it. The door on the fireplace does open up, which gives you access to buttons that control the temperature and brightness of the fires light. There is also a small remote control that comes with it so you can adjust the settings or turn it on/off remotely. These heaters did a wonderful job of warming up chilly bedrooms all last winter.

Two things I wanted to mention, so if anyone else runs into the same things they know about them ahead of time. The first, one of the two heaters I ordered arrived without the light inside working. At first I was stumped as to what to do, then I realized it was just a replaceable light bulb inside, and all I had to do was open up the back (or underside, I can't remember which) and check it. Turns out in shipping the bulb had just came a little loose. A little twist and it was tightened and working perfectly again.

The second thing I wanted to mention is when you first get these and turn the heater on, there is a smell that seems to need to burn off the first time you use it. I'm not sure if it's a cleaner or what, but the smell will actually set off any nearby smoke detectors, even though there's no smoke. So it's best to run them for a little while first, before you need them at a later time, so you can open a window or something to get the smell out. However once the smell has burned off, it never comes back.

My daughter just moved from South Florida to the panhandle, where the nights are quite chilly. I bought this for her as an early Christmas gift. She loves it. The seller is reliable, and the heater was delivered to her door within four days. No assembly is required, and it is ready to use right out of the box. It arrived with no damage, and was well packaged. The unit is quiet and heats her small home very well. She also loves watching just the flames without using the heater...it adds a lovely warm glow to any room. While this seller has the heater priced a little higher than other vendors, the shipping is free, so it's an excellent buy. Admittedly, the flame effect is not the most realistic thing in the world. In fact, it's a little cheesy. For best effect, turn it all the way down to the lowest brightness. I might even swap out the bulb for a lower wattage. However, the ambiance is still really nice, even though it is clearly not a real fire, and I like the option of having the flame effect on while the heat is off. This unit is in the bedroom. It heats the area nicely and fairly quietly, and with my glasses off in bed, watching the fake fire is very soothing. A click of the remote to turn it off as I am ready to fall asleepreally a nice feature. Ready to use, straight out of the box. The first time it's on, it does give off a bit of a "hot pan with oil" smell, but that fades quickly. Overall, I'm very happy with the purchase and recommend the unit.

Purchased this to fit in the space formerly used by a huge big screen tv. The new flat screen tv above the fireplace makes a cozy area! Haven't used the heater yet, but expect it to be just as good! The ambiance is so much fun! Looks more real than any electric I have seen. I did not get the optional glass front because I didn't want the glare. The wire mesh screen looks great! My son's 6th floor dorm room in San Diego was 80 degrees with no air conditioning. This fan was perfect for two reasons. First, it does not require installation in the window because it has feet and he can place it on the window sill, so he can leave the screen on and not worry about bugs. Secondly the fan exchanges the room air with an intake fan and exhaust fan. His room is running 8 degrees cooler and he is sleeping much better. He already had a free standing fan and wanted a second fan. I am so glad we purchased this Optimus window fan.

This fan is easy to handle, very light and quiet. All the controls are clearly marked and there is no need to remove the fan from the window to use on the exhaust setting. The thermostat control is not numerical but variable which gives more options than low, med, high. The low and medium fan settings are very quiet. The high fan setting is a little louder but not disturbing. This fan comes with removal feet so it can be used outside of the window. I checked many fans and this one is priced fairly so with no tax and free shipping, it is a good value.

When I ordered the Electric Blanket I received it without the electric chords or controls. It took me several emails to find a solution. I first contacted Amazon and was told they could not send me just the controls. They said I would have to contact Sunbeam to ask them to send me the controls. I received 2 emails from Sunbeam asking me to send back the blanket and controls for a replacement. Duh!!! I didn't get the controls that was the problem so I couldn't very well send them back. Then finally after a couple more emails they agreed to let me send back the blanket. It would take me two weeks to get a shipping label and another 6-8 weeks for Sunbeam to send back a replacement blanket if they found I was not at fault.

In the meantime, Amazon went ahead and sent me a replacement blanket within 2 days and I sent back the 1st blanket that I received without the chords/controls and that was that. Amazon was much easier to deal with than the manufacturer that's for sure. So.........Thanks Amazon you guys are terrific!

The blanket is larger than I expected, so it even fits over a double bed, with an inch or so past each edge. The controller shuts off after 10 hours--a good safety feature. The material is very soft and thick. A great blanket!

My poor kid has gone through 3-4 electric blankets in the last few yrs. Most last about a year before dying. This latest one lasted about 3 months. The blanket either stops heating up altogether or the control box goes into errors and flashing lights. It's not him. He had an older Fieldcrest hand me down which was over 20 yrs when he got it. Then it lasted him 5 more years. It's the cheap made in china junk. All the American manufacturers sold out to the Chinese, Pure, cheap junk. People who liked Wally World so much...you reap what you sow. Too bad the rest of us get to suffer as well. I won't be buying another electric blanket. No way.

I have owned 2 Biddeford electric blankets and a Sunbeam, so that is what I am comparing this blanket against. The biddeford blankets were always quick to heat up and the Sunbeam not so much, so I expected this blanket to take some time in heating up. It does, but does not get as hot as my Biddeford throw. That's alright, but the real problem is when I dial it down to low, I don't really notice a difference. Even with my other sunbeam, there was a clear difference between the different levels. There may be a slight difference, but low is WAY too hot for me. Off is too cold, so I am stuck all night turning it on, waking up in a sweat to turn it off, then repeating the cycle.

The control knob seems stiff. This could be good because it will never get accidentally changed during the night, as the biddeford analog controls do. However, it does take me two hands one to hold the unit, and the other to twist.

As others have noted, there is a full foot of unheated space on both sides (widthwise) of the blanket. This is not a problem for me, but could nudge a queen blanket towards needing a king in some situations.

If you live in an especially cold environment (read: your room gets down to 40F or less), this blanket may work well for you. I am not sure what to do with it as it is not defective, nor is it working well for me. Perhaps I will trade it with someone who has an old blanket that is more responsive.

I bought this to make rotis and am very happy with the purchase. The rotis come out great, and they puff up really well. The first few weeks the rotis used to dry up fast, but after using the roti maker for a couple of weeks, the quality of rotis improved. I usually keep the temperature control in the high position. Probably the lower positions would be useful only to reheat.

Update: I would like to change my rating to 1 star. After less than a year o using it, the roti maker just stopped working. It didn't heat up at all. I tried calling their warranty service and they kept hanging up on me. Bad customer service. Even when I asked to speak to the manager, they didn't respond at all. Then the place I bought it from offered to replace it if I bore the shipping cost. I used the new one for another 7-8 months and that one suddenly stopped heating up too. Don't buy this product. It doesn't work or more than 7-8 months and although it has a one year warranty, they will not replace it.

Additional Update: March 2010. I got another one of these because the retailer said they have fixed the issue with the heating element. But all they did was reduce the maximum temperature it heats up to, and now it may not fail, but the Rotis now don't get cooked well at all. It feels uncooked and tastes awful.

I read the review for this product on Amazon. Lindsey who is one of the 2 reviewers of this product actually had posted a video of the product usage and I was very much convinced by that. I thought the product is good and ordered it immediately. The product arrived in 4-5 days and was in good condition.

The most important problem with the roti maker is

1. the roti/tortilla is not cooked properly. It remains very much uncooked. Even though you see it puff and everything from the inside it remains uncooked which actually causes a lot of acidity problems.

2. Also such an uncooked tortilla when left for a few minutes becomes very dry and difficult to eat. You have to eat the tortilla immediately within 10-15 minutes of the making.

Just imagine if you are making 5-7 tortillas the first one will be come dry and difficult to chew.

3. The product works as described but the tortillas are not at all good for health since they remain uncooked in the inside.

I bought a Saachi SA-1650 roti/tortilla maker one month back. I hardly used it 6-7 times only. It was working so well and the roti's came up so good. I was really impressed with it. Suddenly, it stopped working and not getting heated. The thermostat broke down within one month of usage. That's insane. I don't find any customer service numbers on the warranty card or the manual book. I don't know where to contact the company to get a replacement for my defective piece. Could someone please give me the customer service numbers of the company. Looks like many have encountered similar kind of problem with this roti maker.

This roti maker is definitely a good one to buy in the first place with a solid built but guess what, its performance is very short living (ephemeral) and unless the company backs it with a good customer service and warranty replacements, this roti maker can not mark up a good impression on the customers.

Comes complete with CO2 gauge, hoses, tap, empty CO2 bottleall you need is to fill the CO2 bottle (or swap it for a full one at your liquor store) and buy a keg. Carefully double boxed so shipping damage is unlikely, mine arrived in pristine condition. Slightly misaligned screw holes made installing the tap tower and guard rail difficult. Comes with two wire shelves if you go on the wagon and want to turn it into a refrigerator. Great, sturdy looking unit all around and the motor runs very quiet. The label on the rear panel displays "Assembled in USA" but take that panel off and the inside label says Made in China. I feel like a fossil that I can remember when stuff was made in the US.

I've been using it for 6 months and the only problem I've had is the frost buildup around the thermostat sensor. The ice buildup seems to throw off the thermostat and my beer was pouring in the low 40's. A ten minute defrosting with a hair dryer brought my beer back down around 35F but still a bit of a hassle. Despite what the product description might say this unit does not have an auto defrost so when you're looking at other kegerators make sure it has an active heating defrost element. To be fair, I use a swamp cooler and the extra humidity could be to blame for the excessive frost and this might not be an issue for you.

I originally bought a single-stage Honeywell Digital Thermostat, but it was the wrong one. Apparently I needed a two-stage thermostat for a heat pump. This thermostat did the trick and was easy to install. It has a number of enhanced features that allow you put it in an automatic setting so you don't have to switch between heat and cool. I had this thermostat for about a month on a new furnace before replacing it with a TH7500D so I could have 7 day program-ability. It kept very even temps and is fairly easy to operate.

Be forewarned however that the ease or difficulty of the installation has almost nothing to do with the thermostat itself. It is determined by the equipment you have installed and the manner in which they were installed. Have a simple furnace wired using the standard scheme and it will be 15min easy. Have a heat pump with a two-stage fossil fuel backup,two stage AC that was installed by a non-conformist plumber and it may take a while to sort out. Use the labels include to label the wires as they are removed from the old. If your equipment or wire combo isn't in the install instructions call tech support.

You must use the manual to program it the first time because the screen just shows you a code that means nothing without the manual.

This model is normally not available to homeowners....only contractors...It is FAR superior to the same Focus Pro 6000 available to homeowners at your local hardware store. I highly recommend this model even though they say homeowners should only allow a licensed contractor install this unit. It has MANY awesome features that do need to be set properly, but I disagree with other reviewers who said the instructions are hard to follow and engineers and contractors could not understand the directions. I am not in the heating and air biz...I am not exactly Mr. Know it all...if I could figure this out so easily, anybody should be able to...The set-up and wiring was very easy.....It took me about 3 5 minutes to remove my old thermostat and wire this one up....very easy..(I have a 2/1 stage unit with emergency and aux heat, cool and etc..)....I was really sorta shocked it was so easy to wire up and the instructions were very clear, although not really needed..this is like the thermostat for dummies.....awesome features, but very, very easy for anybody to install, set up, program and etc.....After wiring the unit I went in to set-up....It was a breeze...lots of features...very easy to figure out how to set up all features, activate them, deactivate them and etc.....Only had it for 3 days now but so far I absolutely love it and would highly recommend this model. Do not be swayed by the talk of it being too hard to figure out and buy the homeowner model instead. There is no comparrison between the two...They are similarily priced, but this model has so many more features and is very easy to use.....And the features on this not available on the homeowner model will seriously save you some money and works very well to "work with your unit to ensure optimal efficiency as well as 'protecting' your system". I got mine for $50 which was actually cheaper then the Focus Pro 6000 'homeowner model' sold at Home Depot. And again, there is no comparrison...This model is so much better and is very easy for anybody to figure out...If I could do it so easily, I find it hard to believe that engineers and so called experts could not figure this out.....I mean it is so easy I just cant believe the reviews that say experts could not figure it out....Buy this model....you will not regret it and if you got past the 3rd grade, you wont have any problems installing this unit and setting it up....If I could install it in about 3 5 minutes, anybody can....Setting it up took about 10 15 minutes (probably less, but I was double checking every setting) as it does have about 20 or 30 'features' that need to be set...but each setting was a breeze and easy to understand....Once done, you just need to play with your scheduling to find the right temps and right schedule for your lifestyle...Lastly, since installing this I am now wondering if my old thermostat (was not that old...was a very nice programmable Bryant that I had no complaints with) was not "In Sync" with my heating/cooling system or maybe it was, but this models features make everything work better...My system now heats faster and cools faster in far less time and the unit runs about half as much as before I installed this unit...I am thoroughly impressed after only 3 days..well today is actually day 4......Great unit!!!

I broke my Maple Chase thermostat trying to change the fuse and discovered this replacement by Robershaw. If you follow the installation instructions precisely, it works beautifully. I did not have one wire correctly placed at first because I am an idiot and did not move it to the other side of the board to match the color/description. Trouble shooting tips said to look at the wire placement and sure enough I discovered what I had done. As soon as I moved the wire connection, it took off and has worked precisely as described. I never programmed the Maple Chase for 40 years, so I got the the simple one from Robershaw and I am glad that I did. You will like how it lights up when you change the temperature. Neat replacement and priced right too!

I bought this product because it is one of the few thermostats that allow you to set a temperature differential, controlling when the furnace turns on and off. This is especially handy when you have a furnace that cycles frequently when there are small changes in temperature. I own a cabin that is not well insulated and heat loss in the winter occurs faster. My old thermostat would kick on the furnace when there is a slight change in temperature, less than 1 degree. Most common thermostats you buy at the hardware store, do not allow this function. With this thermostat, you can set the exact temperature difference. In my case, I have the difference set at 2 degrees. So if you have the thermostat set to 70, then it will not cycle until the temperature reaches 68. It will heat to 70 and repeat the cycle! This reduces the number to times the furnace has to cycle. It works with heat/air and was easy to install. Excellent product!

This is the 3rd winter I have had this stove, and my wife and I are very impressed as to how it has performed. Since I didn't have either natural gas or propane at my house, I researched everything carefully before my purchase. I ended up having my local propane company provide a 100 gallon tank (it usually lasts at least a full year), and I installed a flexible gas line to the new location. It was actually pretty simple for anyone who is handy with tools.

Since the installation, we have found we can decrease the thermostat setting for our house furnace a full 5 degrees and be perfectly comfortable in the family room. There was a noticeable drop in our overall heating costs the past 3 years. When you add that to the ambiance of having a fireplace, and the fact that there is no mess involved, this is one of my best purchases.

I live in the mountains of Colorado and needed a natural gas heater solution. After searching the internet, this stove seemed to meet my needs due to its high BTU rating, nice looks and some comments made by folks on various websites. However, once installed, it did not work. After several calls to customer service, it turned out that this stove does not work over 4,500 feet elevation (I am at 7,000 ft). Nowhere did it say this anywhere in all of the sales brochures published nor on anyone's website. Customer service did say it this information was posted on their website. However, I did not buy it from their website. Anyone who lives at higher altitude should avoid this product.

I was concerned if this would work at my home at 7,800 feet. It was very difficult to heat above 60 degrees with large windows in the front of the house. Another reviewer gave it a single star for not working at 7,000 ft. and mentioned he was using Natural Gas which may have been his problem. I have a 500 gallon LP tank and use it for central heat and the kitchen stove. Propane is under a higher pressure than Natural Gas. It worked so well I installed one heater in my bedroom. I have it at the lowest heat setting when it is 18 degrees outside at night. I no longer need my electric blanket and my dog loves sleeping in front of it.

One of these stoves is the Living Room under a large picture window. It works like a charm. I no longer close the blinds and have a great view of the snow capped mountains around the house. This raised my living room 15 degrees in a lttle over an hour. I did not purchase the blower for the unit since I have ceiling fans. I just turned them to rotate clockwise and the air is "sucked up" and distributed around the room. I no longer heat the whole house but just the rooms I use.

After getting out of the shower in the morning I can wear a towel while roaming around the house still dripping wet, make coffee and take my time getting dressed before going out into the snow to get my newspaper and clearing the driveway.

After all the work it is nice to have these "space" heaters keeping me warm in previously "cold" rooms.

I bought this two months ago and finally had it installed today. I cannot say enough how great this little stove is! We bought it for a renovated basement area for warmth and ambiance and it gives plenty of both. We did not purchase the blower because the room is only 400 sq ft, and I can say for sure now, it wasn't needed for us. The instant heat filters out at a pretty decent pace and the room is warm within minutes.

I put this together on my own with no problems, and the install went smoothly. I chose this based on the overwhelmingly positive reviews on other websites and also because of the price. Our installer was very impressed with it and plans to recommend it to others as well.

Best of all, it is very attractive. Before it was even installed we had it sitting out during a party and it became a topic of admiring conversation: our guests asked us to invite them back to enjoy the fireplace after the install.

I noticed an earlier reviewer that was angry mentioned receiving a different model, and I want to point out, we ordered from this seller but the fireplace is slightly different than the picture above. But fret not I think it's much nicer! There is no 'ProCom' logo on the front. I was happy about this because I thought it looked a little cheap with that. So I have to say I am 100% happy!

We've now had this in use every day for a few weeks. It is in our basement, and we have found that it is not 'overwhelmingly hot' in our space because much of the hot air rushes up the stairs and is also heating the first floor of our home, so we've hardly even had to run the home furnace at all. It makes all the rooms feel comfortable and cozy. WOW. I can't wait to see how much this lowers our winter gas bill!

I purchased an antique home in the summer and was told the floor furnace was great by the inspector. When winter came, after the house filled with gas TWICE had to disconnect. After a winter with no heat (and of course no water since pipes freeze), I was a VERY motivated buyer. This little stove (with the blower) sits in my living room. The 1100 sq. ft. house has no other heat system. Even when temperatures drop to below 0, my house is toasty warm. Because my house has doors and halls all over the place, I do place a floor fan in front of the hall from the living room towards the bedrooms. This helps move the warm air into the bedrooms and bathroom. Houses of similar size and from the same time period with central heat on my block run around 150 dollars a month to heat in the winter. My house runs between 20 and 35 dollars a month. The temperature is kept on 55 when I am gone during the day and 70 at night. However, it only takes a short time for the little stove to warm up the place. Also, I have hard wood floors. My stove doesn't sit on a platform of any kind. There has been no damage to the floor in the 6 years the vent free stove has been heating my home. A bonus is that the heat dries clothes on a little wood drying rack within hours. This saves money, is "green", and puts some humidity back into the house. Another added bonus is the flickering of the flames. They are just a delight to watch dancing after the lights are out on a cold winter's night.
