Figured if I was going to replace the Defrost heater, why not replace this as well. Simple fast and easy. No problems with shipping, got parts fast and therefore no complaints. Oh and you couldn't beat the price because believe me, I shopped around!

Sunpentown Portable Air Conditioner/Heater W/ Remote Reviews
I really didn't know what to expect from this portable unit but I was excited to try it out. I have to honestly say that I'm very happy with it's performance. Easy to set up and easy to use. I must warn you not to use the machine in an areas that you can not section off and you must follow the manufactures recommendations because like any other a/c system (central or window)it will not work optimally if it's not used correctly. Enjoy the cool air! Every funtion was so good. cooler & heater is very strong. but the leaking water from compressure is big problem.

I've had this kettle for about 8 years and it works just fine. I use it on average 2 to 5 times a day. The whistle isn't quite as loud as it was in it's younger days, hence I've boiled it dry quite a few times, with no ill effects. The only drawbacks are the one quart capacity and dragging the cord around when I fill it. So, if you want an electric kettle for under $20, this is a good buy.
Highly recommended!
Unfortunately, the cleaning lady at mom's facility melted the cord somehow, so we got mom another. She likes it as much as before. We were impressed enough that we ditched our own more vertical model and got ourselves one of these.
Very handy for tea water, a cup of instant hot cider or cocoa on a cold evening, or some boullion. Or to just have some hot, hot water handy on the counter for recipe purposes.
We recommend it!

I bought this teakettle online after searching the stores for something similar. I drink tea several times a day, and my office is a ten minute walk from the cafeteria. This way, I drink tea whenever I want at a fraction of the cost. The water heats up very quickly, and the teakettle never seems too hot to hold. Everyone who sees it wants one of her own.Highly recommended!

I actually own two of these kettles for several years now. One at home, and one to make a quick tea/coffee at work. They make a quick job of boiling water, have a very loud whistle and just excellent overal. One thing to notice though it will only hold three to four cups of water. Perfect for a small family, but not enough if you have more than 2 tea drinkers at home. I have not seen rust on either pot I own, so it's possible that the other reviewer had a bad unit.Honest reviews on Presto 02703 Electric Tea Kettle
I got one of these for my 80-something mother a few years ago. She desperately wanted an electric kettle that reminded her of an old stovetop version yet was simple and safe, since her eyesight was failing. The Ptresto fit the bill and she loved it.Unfortunately, the cleaning lady at mom's facility melted the cord somehow, so we got mom another. She likes it as much as before. My mother in law turned us on to this kettle so quick and easy to use. Cord is short, and don't over-fill because it will bubble out the spout, but other than that, it works great, quickly and holds enough for several cups of coffee / tea. Have purchased more than one of these, and they seem to last quite a while. We use ours several times a day so it gets a good work out.Tuesday, September 16, 2014
Best Comfort Zone® Compact Heater/Fan CZ35 Deals
this little thing works great for my room and the best part is the auto shut off when it gets to hot, plus theres a safety button on the bottom so if you pick it up or it falls over it will shut off automatically.
It is a light unit made of all cheap looking plastic. It has a anti-tilt feature which is nice. As a heat unit, this is probably good for supplement heat for a room at is already warm but wouldn't help much if it was a cold room.

The fan shot craps within the first ten minutes of operation. The heating element stayed on, even though fan wasn't running. Blew breaker. For the ten minutes it worked, the fan buzzed and rattled. Very cheaply constructed. This is not a quality product.Honest reviews on Comfort Zone® Compact Heater/Fan CZ35

It is a decent heater. It is not the best heater nor the worst. The controls settings are a bit vague. There are two one for the fan and the other for the temp control. The fan as two modes really. A fan without the heat and low or high. I found the heat even set on the highest setting really never was 'hot' it was tepid warm.It is a light unit made of all cheap looking plastic. We already had the 30,000 BTU heater and it works great. This 20,000 works just as well. The thermostat keeps the temp pretty even....no constant adjusting or getting to hot or too cold. We don't have electric for the blower yet but the blower on the 30,000 works very well. The pilot ignition is much better than our older heaters...just a gentle press of the button.
Customer service is also great, mine came with some shipping damage and the parts were not available to fix it. I waited a few weeks during which time I was contacted by customer support a few times keeping me updated as to when the parts would arrive. After about 3 weeks the weather started to get cold and the parts still had not arrived so I contacted Mr. Heater support again and they replaced the entire unit leaving me with the old unit for spare parts. So while it wasn't the ideal situation, and though wasn't their fault (UPS breaks many things), they made it right and were very pleasant doing so.
The only con, and a very small one at that, would be that I would like a bit more control of the temperature. At least in the garage setting the lowest temperature it keeps it at is 62, which I really only need maybe 45-50, just to keep the cars from freezing ect. Other than that, its perfect!

Cheap Waterbed Heater-Hardside
I have the Thermal Guardian Touch Temp Digital Waterbed Heater. The Product Details for this product don't tell you which model this is and there isn't a close-up for the heater control so you can see what the model is or how you will control the temperature. My heater works well, except for one thing. My house is old and has very little insulation, so it tends to be chilly in the winter. The Thermal Guardian heaters profess to keeping the temperature to within 1/8 of a degree of the set temperature. That's fine if your house isn't chilly, but when it is the heater warms to the set temperature and then turns off. The chilliness of the room cools the water enough for the heater to come back on and thus the heater continues to turn off and on several times per second indefinitely. The only way to stop it is to turn the heater off or change the desired temperature a couple degrees and once it reaches the new setting you have to change it again. I can't help but think, if you let it turn off and on all the time it will wear out and anyone who has a waterbed knows it's a pain to drain the bed and put in a new heater any more often than necessary. On days when the sun warms the house, this does not happen. I don't plan on changing heaters, just know this can be a problem.
This heater was much better at regulating the temperature than the old one. It keeps the bed the same temperature.
That is, until it failed. I bought it less than 8 months ago, and it can no longer heat the bed over 80 degrees.
Having the heater for your waterbed fail is a huge inconvenience. I'd rather have a heater which causes the bed to have wider temperature swings, but is reliable vs a heater with tighter temp control which needs to be replaced more often.

I ordered this heater with the fastest shipping option there was (2-6 days). The next day my shipping confirmation email estimated that the soonest heater would come would be in 7 days. If you have a waterbed then you understand the need to get a heater quick so you aren't sleeping on a frozen mattress. After 3 weeks my package never came. I wrote a poor review and the seller very quickly sent me an email insulting me and demanding I take down my review. I told him I wouldn't take it down because it was all true. He then tried to rectify the situation by refunding me for the product and shipping and repeatedly offering to send me the heater regardless. I told him I appreciated that and eagerly awaited a warm bed. Over the next few days I got many emails saying I should take down my review because the situation was fixed. Really, it wasn't because I'd been sleeping on a cold mattress for nearly a month. I did take the review down thinking that everything would be fixed. I never did get that heater, and I know it's silly to complain about not getting something you didn't pay for, so instead I'll complain that I would have gone somewhere else to buy one had a known it wasn't coming. This is easily the worst shopping experience I've had on Amazon. This heater is readily available from other sellers on this site, I would recommend them.Best Deals on Waterbed Heater-Hardside
Our old heater quit on us in the coldest part of the winter. Those of you who are waterbed owners know that a cold waterbed in the winter months is not a good thing. We were glad to find a merchant on Amazon with the product we needed. It shipped within a week and we were able to quickly and easily replace the old heater unit with this one. Then we were back to comfortable nights once again.Honest reviews on Waterbed Heater-Hardside

Cheap Sunbeam BW1240-030-757 Royal Nights Heated Blanket
We've used this blanket less than a week, and I'm mostly happy with it. It gives off a lot of heat, even at the lowest setting. The controls are easy to use and read, and the auto-off feature works as advertised. My only issue is that the material is so thin that you can really feel the wires. (We have the blanket between the sheet and duvet.) They don't create hot spots; it's just an odd feeling. For the price, though, it was a great purchase.
The blanket is not thick so you will likely want to put something on top of it. You can feel the resistance wire through the blanket, although I don't find this to be much of a problem. I generally use one of the lowest settings on the blanket, so I have lots of power to spare if things got really cold. The controls work fine, although I find the LED to be a bit bright, and the controls should be weighted; The weight of the wires running off each control is often too much and it pulls the control right off my nightstand.

Buy LG Electronics LW1512ERS 15,000 BTU 115-Volt Window-Mounted Air
I must admit this air conditioner is HEAVY!!!! But boy does it do it's job!! It can cool a room in minutes! So well I have to keep it at 75 because my entire living room and kitchen is freezing! I have a 1 bedroom and this massive machine cools up my living room, kitchen and bathroom! It's amazing and very easy to use once installed.
I installed this unit by myself but I do not recommend it. I am a huge strong guy and have above average knowledge of installing window air conditioners. This unit is huge and heavy and cools my entire house. I live in a small 3 bedroom one story house and with the aid from a few fans every room stays nice and cool even on the hottest humid days. I have the unit in my living room I position a fan pointed down the hall from my living room to funnel cold air to the bedrooms and bathroom and have a fan in two of the bedrooms which works great! It is 102 degrees right now as I am writing this review I have the unit set on 67 energy saver and its frosty in every room. It gets downright freezing at night in all the rooms after the sun has set for a while. No complaints so far about the performance but I do have a small issue of the front panel cover. The front panel cover is slighly bulky and feels pretty cheap. I would expect a more sleek design from LG and I do not lik it does not have an option on the display for me to see what the temperature is in the room it only allows you to see the temp you have the ac set for.
I'm giving this another chance. I tried this last year, but the Fedex guy dropped it while unloading it from the truck. The G-force bent the mount that holds the motor and fan creating a grinding sound. Amazon had it picked up for free and refunded all of my money with no problems. This year I purchased it from a local electronics store. Two skinny little guys delivered it to my apartment, which made me nervous. I did notice that there is a slight wobble to the fan as it turns, but I'm hoping this won't be a problem. Not sure if they dropped it during loading/unloading.
So far I'm trying different locations for installation and it is putting out a lot of cold air. Once it is fully installed and running, I'll update my review.
Bottom-line; Make sure you know who is delivering this to you and how. This thing is heavy and hard to get a grip on, make sure there are two guys.
Update:
I finally got it installed in my one bedroom apartment and it produced really cold air! I'm using it on the lowest setting so I don't disturb my neighbors in nearby apartment units. It was 88 degrees outside and my place was cooled down to 74 very quickly. I'm sure I could have gotten it much colder if needed. I don't detect any problems from the fan, as mentioned above. Timer shuts it off several hours later as needed and the energy features shut off both the compressor and the fan until cooling is need again.
Giving it 4 stars of now, because getting to your house without some kind of damage makes me wonder about the long term quality. Maybe it needs a real shipping container instead of a cardboard box with 1" to 2" of styrofoam!
Once the outside temp gets into the 90's and 100's, I'll give another update.
Update 2:
I have operated the unit with outside temps around 97 degrees now. I had no problem keeping the apartment around 72 degrees with the fan set at the lowest setting.
Note that if you have this AC unit set on timer mode it will auto increase the temp by 2 degrees after about 2 hours, then stop increasing. They do this because they think your body is getting colder by 2 degrees while you sleep. I found this out the hard way. I couldn't understand why the unit was changing my temp settings. Now if I use the timer, I just set it 2 degrees colder than normal.
Then it started working again normally on it's own after about a month. It was short lived though because the remote stopped working(changing the batteries did not help). Then shortly after that, all of buttons on the unit failed except the power button. In order for it to work, the power button had to be held down for about 3 seconds..... but the mode/fan speed/ temp etc did not respond to touch. Then the unit started working once again on it's own. The last issue is, the AC will automatically change it's temperature. Lowering, or raising the temperature on it's own, usually in the middle of the night. Not only did I get a piece of junk, but I got a possessed piece of junk starts to beep when one try's to sleep.
LG's site support was difficult to navigate, and the AC is too heavy for one to carry to a repair shop. I'm done with LG's AC line.

I bought this air conditioner off amazon because during the heat wave here all of the stores locally had sold out. I was concerend about such a large delicate item being shipped to me but UPS must have done their job correctly because it arrived to me safely. I bought this unit after my Soleus Air Conditioner broke down on me during a 105 degree day. I got online and found this air conditioner the very next day. I had this installed in a matter of minutes after receiving it. It comes pre-programed but the times and temps were not to my liking so I programed it and had it drop the two middle times so mine just has wake and sleep. Programing literally could not be easier. I don't know why there are so many reviewers having trouble with the light-up display, mine is very bright. Simply press the temp up or down button momentarily and the backlight comes on and this does not raise or lower the temp, you would have to touch the temp button again to make a change. The unit looks good too, much better than the Robertshaw from 1988 that it replaced. The unit really does keep the temperature right where you set it too but this may not be such a good thing. The Robertshaw unit was set for 77 degrees and would not come on until the temp reached 78. It would lower the temp to 76 then shut the A/C off. The Honeywell unit is also set for 77 degrees but instead of a 2 degree spread it has a +/1 degree accuracy which means you never see it move off of 77 degrees. The problem is that while it keeps the temp right where you want it, it makes your equipment work twice as hard to maintain this kind of accuracy. I've been working in my office right next to the A/C closet ever since I installed it several hours ago and have been keeping a log of start/stop times just to see how it's doing and on average the A/C has been running 8 minutes and resting for 12 minutes all day. This is much more than the Robertshaw unit that had less accuracy and I really don't notice the difference. The problem is that all this extra stopping and starting can't be good for the equipment and I would imagine that it will use more electricity, once the blower motor is up to speed it doesn't take much to keep it going but you can see the lights dim when it starts so you know all those extra starts are using more "juice". I still like this thermostat though, and have given it 5 stars. I just wish Honeywell would have put one more code entry screen in the programing of this unit that would allow the user to put more of a spread between the on and off temps to save wear and tear on the equipment.
I've been using battery powered thermostats for over 15 years and my experience has been that the batteries will last for years. This is my first Honeywell so I can't comment on the exact amount of time the battery will last, but if you change the battery once every year as suggested in the instructions, you will never have a problem. Also, two months prior to battery depletion, this unit will flash a warning to replace the battery. However, I agree with Dave that a hard wired (power) system is better from a safety perspective. Honeywell sells models that do that too. Still, there is also the possibility that the furnace could fail while you're away and there are (freeze alarm dialers)devices that can call you in your winter home and inform you about that condition.
I also agree with Dave about the length of time the back light stays lit.
Other than that, I really like the unit. It's simple to program and use, and the display is very easy to see. Also, it doesn't overshoot the temperature like some other units I have used.
I highly recommend this thermostat.
There is a way to turn off this feature but you won't find instructions about this in the Operating Manual. Quite oddl;y the advanced instructions are in the "Quick Installation Guide"! User friendly? I guess that is a matter of personal opinion.

The packaging and website both claim that the 6350D has auto changeover from heating to cooling. However, that is NOT the case. If you need this feature, buy the 6450 instead. On my second call to their support 800 number the representative informed me of this and offered a trade in by mail. My other little gripe which required my first call to them, is that although installation was quick, their diagrams did not include one that matched my wiring. The good thing is that they were knowledgeable and quick, and their phone menu system didn't take all day to navigate through.Best Deals on Honeywell RTH6350 5-2 Programmable Thermostat

Honest reviews on Honeywell RTH6350 5-2 Programmable Thermostat
This programmable thermostat is generally a good one -does what you need it to do. But there will come a day that you see an "In Recovery" message and wonder if it has robbed the liquor cabinet! This model has "Smart Response" setting that I found to be quite annoying. What happens is the thermostat attempts to calculate the amount of time it will take to reach the temperature at the next time setting. So if you want 69 degrees at 7:00 and your room is 61 degrees, the heating system will turn on long before 7:00 such that the room reaches 69 at that time. Well, seems interesting -but you might find your furnace on full blast at 5:45 instead of 7:00. The mode will read: "In Recovery"There is a way to turn off this feature but you won't find instructions about this in the Operating Manual. The box clearly states that the product will auto change from heat to cool. It does not. Honeywell needs to change their packaging.Thursday, January 2, 2014

The product is exactly as described ... but be mindful of length. Although the cable is indeed 3', remember that you have to wrap it around the pipe being protected. So the 3' pipe cable works well for a 2' pipe. My sense is that this heating cable is better quality than the others commonly available.

This is exactly what we needed for our outdoor instant hot water heater which has all the water pipes leading to the outdoors. Since it hasn't gotten cold enough this winter (so far) we will not know the results but it looks like it will keep our water from freezing in the -10 degree weather. Thanks for having the 3-foot cable instead of those huge long ones that are too long for our project.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for M-D Building Products 4309 3-Foot Pipe Heating Cable with Thermostat
I like the light that lets you know the unit is receiving power...that's a cool feature. It has kept my house water pipe from freezing for many years now. Nice product!
