All the waffles I've made with this have turned out crispy and delicious. The heart pattern that you get with this make is unique and cute. They waffles are smaller, thinner and crispier than those made by the waffle maker I got in college, but that's okay because you won't hear a complaint about these. You can control how dark your waffles get with the dial on the very top. The waffle maker only takes three minutes to warm up and three minutes to cook the waffle which is great as you can use this even when in a rush.

The outside is stainless steel and the inside is nonstick aluminum. Clean up is a snap and just as quick as making the waffles. I was extremely impressed with this machine and it doesn't cost an arm and a leg either. The only downside is that he cord seems way too short and it makes plugging in the maker a bit of a chore depending on where the outlets are in your kitchen. All in all though, this is a great buy and a happy addition to my family of kitchen gadgets.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I've never owned a waffle maker before, so my previous experiences in waffle-making happened mostly at hotels, with their more heavy-duty machines. I immediately noticed one major difference: every waffle maker I've used before had a timer, so you could just pour the batter in and then basically stop paying attention. There's no timer here, and the way to tell whether the waffle is done is that the steam decreases significantly. Functionally, this works out fine; all our waffles turned out okay, and only one was a teeny tiny bit darker than I might have liked. It does make the process a bit more stressful and attention-consuming, though. It's not a huge deal, but there is obviously a difference between putting batter in and waiting for a beep, versus actually paying attention to the machine more or less continuously. But this seems to be normal for personal waffle makers, and as I said, it isn't really a big deal, just something to be aware of.

What did make it slightly more of a big deal was the fact that the cord is really, really short. We wanted to cook the waffles right at the table, so that we could eat them as they became ready while sitting around chatting all together. The outlet is really not far away, but it just wasn't happening with such a short cord, and we didn't have an extension cord on hand. So one person ended up off in the corner by themselves, supervising the waffles, which wasn't an ideal situation. Either a beep to indicate when they were done, or a longer cord, would have resolved this issue.

These are still pretty minor things, though. When it comes to what really matters, we were happy: the machine makes tasty waffles. I'm not sure how other personal waffle makers compare, but this one certainly gets the job done.

One final note about something that we found a bit confusing: the red light goes on when the waffle maker is plugged in, and the green light goes on when it's hot enough to start using. But the red light doesn't go off when the green light goes on. So both lights will be on together, indicating that the waffle maker is both plugged in and hot enough, when it's ready to go.

IT makes heart shaped, or triangle waffles. The waffles come out thinner, crispier, than those made by our giant square waffle maker. This waffle maker stores easily, and the waffles are big enough to divide three ways, so that everyone can get started. We ran a short extension cord, and plugged this in at the table, so that we could start on waffles, and keep making them as we go.

Easy to use, easy to clean, easy to understand, and stores easily. Will still keep the large square waffle maker, but this is a great adjunct, and for large breakfast gatherings, we will have two in service.

Good buy, and maybe a perfect apartment waffle maker.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program Back in my divorce many moons ago, one of the material things I lost was the waffle maker. I never realized how much until I got this Nesco waffle iron and re-discovered the joy of homemade waffles.

One feature that is an upgrade from my old Oster is the setting dial. I made about a dozen this morning and tried various settings. Medium is about as low as I'd want it, otherwise, you're going to get a fairly limp and possibly undercooked goody. Just a few notches above dead center medium makes a nice crispy but still light and perfect waffle. There's a lot of room for different degrees, so those who prefer a crispier one have nothing to worry about.

Straight out of the box set-up was all it took (I wiped it off with a damp cloth before pouring the first batter in there were no discernible taste effects) and I was making waffles within minutes of plugging it in. Likewise, clean-up was a breeze with a simple damp cloth wipe, and if you use about 2/3 of a cup of batter, you should get a perfect waffle. The six heart shapes are unique and a fun way to keep mouths full while you wait for the next one to cook. I plan to get plenty of weekend waffle use out of this lovely device.

If I had to pick a complaint, it'd be that there is no recipe booklet inside, so I had to do a quick internet search for a waffle recipe. For those who have it down or have cook books, this shouldn't be an issue whatsoever. The cord is a bit short, but most kitchens have plenty of outlets, so again, no worries.

This is a great device and the price seems right to me for how much use you'd get and the savings off of store bought frozen waffles. Breakfast just stepped up in my life. Enjoy!

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I'd previously been using a sandwich maker with waffle-insert to make waffles, and it produced thick, Belgian-style ones but was a little bit messy.

This Nesco model produces six heart-shaped waffles, but they are rather slim (more like pancakes) than the chunky Belgian style that many people prefer. Still, it's very easy to use and I had no problems with it. The ability to control the crispness (whether you like your waffles light or dark) is nice, and cleaning it up was easy.

I did notice that you have to be careful not to use too much batter, or it will leak out the back, but that's probably the case for any machine. Also, the instructions recommend using cooking oil spray on the metal pads and I'd suggest respraying them before every cook. When I put blueberries in my waffle batter, they did stick to the heating elements, so this machine is probably better suited to keeping things plain.

Still, everything tasted good and was cooked evenly and properly, so it's hard to complain. Just don't expect chunky, thick Belgian-style waffles!

I've read the other reviews on this unit, and I still picked one up. This isn't a book/batteries/small retail, and when buying it from Amazon, you should really be present at delivery to insure no damage befell your unit in shipping. I was home when this came, and I looked over the box before I let the UPS driver go. It came double boxed with quite a bit of foam and cardboard protecting the fridge, then more cardboard protecting the tower/bottle/regulator/etc inside. After attaching the casters and fully assembling the unit, I waited the recommended 8 hours (really, I waited overnight) before plugging it in. I let it run for another night to be sure it was cooling properly, and then. after I decided everything was fine, I filled the CO2 bottle and purchased my keg. Don't omit this series of steps. If you want a working kegorator, pay attention to the instructions that come with it. It's pretty simple.

More than a year later, this kegorator is still going strong. I did have to replace the gas bottle it came with on the 2nd fill, which was pretty disappointing, but with that exception it's still working perfectly.

I was hesitant about purchasing this kegerator because of some of the reviews but decided to buy it anyway. The unit came in scratch and dent free which I was very pleased about. I spent the extra bucks and got the stainless model which looks nice in the man cave. I was a little surprised how small the unit was when I was unpacking it. In the pictures they all look the same but this is not a full size kegerator it is basically a mini-fridge with an over sized door to accomodate a full size keg. This was not an issue for me because I am limited on space and the overall cosmetic appearance of the unit is very nice. I installed the casters to give it more height. The kegerator assembled easily and came with alot of spare gaskets, parts and wrenches which I thought was cool. Do pay attention to the gasket that belongs beneath the tower like the other reviews say because it is not mentioned in the instructions. It comes with a 2.5 pound Co2 tank which is adequate but I will probaly upgrade to a 5 pound. It also came with a nice dual gauge Co2 regulator unlike some reviews said. Some of the reviews said the unit would not get cold enough. Mine seems to stay around 34-36 degrees on the max setting. That seems perfect to me! Some of the reviews talk about the noise. I can say it is a little noisy but just a little more than a regular refrigerator. You get what you pay for in life and this unit has some cheaply made parts here and there but at the end of the day what do you expect from a kegerator? Cold draft beer when you want it and this unit will deliver! Why pay hundreds more? I am very pleased so far. I've only had it for three days and am half way through my first keg of blue moon but no issues so far. I will update if any issues arrive!

Only negetive it is a bit loud for its size, sounds like any other fridge. Like any keg it takes a bit of adjusting with the co2 (which gauges work very well)

I bought this product hoping all the negative reviews were wrong...but they werent. The kegerator came dented right out of the box, and no matter what i did, the temperature would not get below 45 degrees! Looks like it could be a nice fridge if they could fix the cooling problem...but buyer beware...this fridge will not deliver cold enough beer! Im now stuck with half a keg of beer thats ruined. The only bright spot is the amazon customer service. They agreed to ship the fridge back no problem and credit my account quickly. Thanks amazon.

I purchased this based on reviews and a few referrals from friends. It's inexpensive, but it's really poorly built.

You can purchase this item and it will fit a full-size ked (barely), but setting it up is pretty tricky if you have never worked with kegs before, and the parts/instructions are not documented well.

DO NOT PUT THE CASTERS ON THE BOTTOM! If you place the casters (wheels) ont he bottom of this unit and then place a full-size keg inside it, The front wheels will buckle. The metal used on the underside of the fridge unit is too thin to support the weight of a full keg. Both my front wheels immediately bent under and buckled toe moment I placed the keg inside the unit.

It does keep stuff cold. Asa a small fridge, this is an OK unit. As a kegerator, it is extremely lacking in quality and workmanship. You get what you pay for.

I'm sure the manufacturer never DREAMED of this use, but I'm really hoping our solution can help others in our position, as this solution is the best we've found yet in over twenty plus years of being cat guardians!

So, we have multiple cats, and that means multiple litter boxes. As always, the trick is where to put them without them being ugly or stinky. This is particularly tricky in a one bedroom of under 800 square feet.

We solved the "ugly" problem by using Ikea kitchen cabinets along a wall, spaced apart, topped with countertop. By spacing the cabinets apart, it creates a sort of tunnel for the cats to walk down (it's only 24" deep) to where the cabinets meet the wall. We cut holes in the sides of the cabinets so the cats can enter into the actual cabinet. Metal mesh grating on little "blocking" strips attached to all the cabinet sides makes a sort of "raised floor" above the actual bottom floor of the cabinets this helps to control litter tracking from paws. We are able to fit two large size litter boxes in each cabinet (in an "L" configuration) remember, the mantra is one box for each cat PLUS one more!

For the doors, we just stuck carpet tiles onto the Ikea cabinet door fronts voila, an added bonus of kitty scratching posts! When the cats get the carpet tiles sufficiently shredded that they start to look grungy, it's easy to pull off the "dead" tile and stick a new one on.

And since the doors open in front, cleaning the boxes is very easy, too (we did have to add velcro strips along the edges of the doors to keep the cat from popping them open while trying to cover their "output" for some reason, our cats seem to believe that they can pull the sides of the cabinets down to bury their "treasure" :-)

All of this has led to people entering our home and NOT EVEN BEING ABLE TO FIGURE OUT WHERE OUR LITTER BOXES ARE until we tell them how sweet is that?!

However, there are still the times when high humidity (esp. in summer) causes our clumping litter to overclump....or the times when a cat will just really "light up" the boxes with some of the most incredibly-smelling "outputs" one could imagine. This would send us running for the room scent sprays, but that stuff isn't cheap, and there were days when we were going through a LOT of it pretty quickly.

We realized that the true problem was there was NO air circulation inside the cabinets. So we bought this fan (and another one by a different company), cut holes in the sides of the Ikea cabinets, and installed these (higher up, right under the level of the countertop). We were lucky that we put the cabinets against the wall, so we had an outlet to plug this (and the other one) into.

IT"S WORKING GREAT!

The clumping litter doesn't clump nearly as much as it used to (when it does, it's more because it's doing what it's supposed to, and not in reaction to high humidity so much), so we're spending less on litter. And the air circulation makes opening the cabinet doors to do the (multiple) daily litter sifting a FAR less offensive olfactory experience (and yes, while the fans do circulate the air from the inside of the litter cabinets out into the room, NO, the smell is NOT really noticeable in the room...but we also have bamboo charcoal AND stick-on air freshener discs inside the cabinets as well).

These little fans work so well that we just ordered another one, to increase the air circulation even more.

BTW, the fans are VERY quiet our cat water fountain is louder than these fans (our fountain is actually the size sold for ultra large dogs, so we only have to refill once a day, and that's mostly to ensure our kitties always have super-fresh water).

Right after we installed the fans, we were concerned that our cats might not like the low hum (we have two real prima donnas who object to nearly ANYTHING that isn't already part of their normal routine or world-view). Pfft....they all acted as usual, not a single problem or objection of any kind. We suspect that all of our furry family members are rather more pleased, too, given that it's FAR less stinky now in their toilet area.

So this is a super little fan, and again, while I'm sure the maker never thought in their wildest imaginings that it would be put to THIS use, it's a GREAT solution for those of us facing the ages-old conundrum of how to deal with the litterbox issue.

I hope this review (and description of how we solved that ages-old conundrum) can help others looking for a reasonably cheap solution the Ikea cabinets with metal mesh squares to make the raised flooring AND the carpet tiles (bought on closeout sale) cost us less than $200 total.

Bought this from an Amazon competitor on sale very cheap...think it was a $7.99 deal. Heats very well as good as the popular Lasko which I usually buy. The problem with the Duraflame is that it is VERY NOISY. A quality issue as I think the fan hits an edge, unbearable noise, tilting the fan with a shim under the unit sometimes takes the noise away.

Anyone wondering about the performance of these units should not be worried. Used in a 24 x 32 garage in Virginia, the garage is well insulated but has two 10 x 16 overhead drive through doors, two large windows and a pedestrian door...so..there is more than enough air-infiltration. Does not matter, set at 50 degrees all winter and burned a nominal 88 gallons of propane. If you need to warm the space up quick, just turn it up and it makes it toasty in 20 minutes. Good luck....

This Lasko model 2155A window fan also sold as the Air King model 9155 is a real blessing for me. I live in the deep South (Georgia) where the oppressive summer heat index (high heat + near-100%-humidity) often reaches into the 130s and above and I don't have air conditioning. For me, a large whole-house window fan like this one makes all the difference between comfort and living hell when July and August roll around (it's July 27th as I write this, and I'm sitting right next to the window with the fan in it).

This is truly a WHOLE-HOUSE window fan, and it costs so much less to operate than an air conditioner. Compared with central A/C, I'm saving over a hundred dollars a month, which is over $600 a year EVERY YEAR. That's money better spent elsewhere! With this high-volume fan, I get my whole house cooled, without the $150+ monthly electricity usage of central A/C. This fan paid for itself in the first month.

Also, I've found that as I've gotten used to not having A/C, I enjoy the summers more and I'm not nearly as lethargic and short-tempered when I'm in a place without air conditioning, anywhere from the supermarket parking lot to a cookout. It all makes me wonder, WHY would I pay $150+ per month and end up so dependent on air conditioning that I can't be happy enjoying the great outdoors in the summer?! It's all a question of what your body gets acclimated to.

For the hottest summer nights, you can run a little window A/C unit in your bedroom, and still save a bundle because you can use this fan for the rest of the house instead of having to pay the skyrocketing electrical cost of central A/C.

PROS:

* Cost-efficient to operate this fan moves 2470 CFM (cubic feet of air per minute) on only 90 watts compare that with the larger 20" model (Air King model #9166) which moves 3560 CFM on 170 watts an 89% power increase for just a 44% airflow increase...makes sense to just buy two of these 16" Lasko 2155A/Air King 9155 units instead...you get twice the airflow, not 44% more and you get it for only ten watts more

* Moves a LOT of air more than a 20" box fan, more than anything sold at Wal-Mart, Target, Home Depot, Lowe's, Ace Hardware, True Value, the drugstore, or anywhere else I looked

* Fused 3-prong grounded safety plug

* Versatile installation options

* 3 speeds instead of 2 or just on/off

* Electrically reversible for intake and exhaust a big plus, since I want to be able to exhaust hot air during the day and then reverse it to bring in cool air at night...without having to de-install it and manually flip the whole unit around like you do with some other' brands fans (AHEM!)

* Quieter compared to the old metal-bladed fans from years past, which sounded like airplane propellers

* Made in the USA by our friends and neighbors and fellow countrymen, not in some Chinese sweatshop

NEUTRALS:

* Construction feels a bit flimsy...everything is plastic, except the interior side's safety grille BUT, this is basically irrelevant, because after it's in the window, it just sits there, and plastic does just as good a job of sitting in a window as metal. And, on the bright side, it's more lightweight than a metal fan would be, making it easier to install and to store in the attic or basement at the end of the season

* Don't expect it to be silent on the highest speed, there is some wind noise...but that's not the fault of the fan, and there's nothing anyone can do about it...moving large volumes of air at a high rate of speed DOES entail noise, no matter what, so you can't fault the fan or the manufacturer for that

* Pricey for nearly-all-plastic construction, and only a 50% (maximum) airflow improvement over an $18 Wal-Mart box fan, I felt that the cost of $50-$100 was a bit high...would rather see it around $35-$40 BUT, in the end, it DOES move more air than the $18 box fan, and has some features that make it worth the cost (electrically reversible intake/exhaust, less noise, expanding side panels to give it a perfect fit with any size window, fused safety plug, Storm Guard feature, etc.) and given that there's basically no competition in the field any more due to the prevalence of air conditioning, I can't expect pricing to be at super-low highly-competitive rates

CONS:

* Switch knob kept popping off...had to tighten up the screws under it and then put a dab of Krazy Glue on it (but that solved it)

* Not widely available in stores because air conditioners' prices have come down so much in the last 15-20 years, the demand for genuine whole-house window fans has gone way down, meaning that this fan is usually a special-order or online-only item, either of which generally entail waiting times and shipping costs (though your local Grainger branch may have one of the ones relabeled Air King in stock)

All in all, I am being really unfairly picky here, and I think this is a fabulous product that I sincerely hope doesn't get discontinued. It's the right unit for the job, it looks good, and it does a better (and quieter) job that the all-metal models from years past. It's also very energy-efficient. Of what's available on the market in 2009, it is the best of the best, hands down, nothing else even comes close. I have ZERO "buyer's remorse" about this purchase, and would champion its virtues to anyone considering buying one. A great product!

I've had a lot of window fans before but none have cooled nearly as well as the Lasko 16" window fan. The fan is solidly constructed with sturdy plastic side panels and a easy to turn on/off speed selection knob.Particularly nice is the exhaust feature on this fan,which cleared a smokey kitchen in mere seconds.

I've had two of these fans for 4 years now. One upstairs, one downstairs, both set to exhaust. I'd have more of these if I had another window in the house small enough to accept the fan.

Just in case you haven't thought about this subject before, it's a lot easier to suck hot air out of a room with an exhaust fan than it is to push cool air in to the room. Using an exhaust fan works much better than just opening a window wide and hoping cool air will blow in eventually.

For summer evenings, as soon as it's cooler outside than inside, exhaust fans are the bomb.

Place this fan properly in a window, so that the fan and its casing cover the entire open window area. Then open another nearby window just a few inches, and feel the cool breeeze blowing in. When I have both fans going and the patio sliding door open 6 inches you can feel the breeze 6 feet inside. It takes only about 2 hours from jump to cool my 2500 sq ft house to outside levels with both fans going. I've had to put them on timers to stop at 2am or it gets too cold.

So why is this a great exhaust fan?

It's not the Rolls Royce of fans. It's a good fan at a great price. You can pay 3x what this one usually costs ($50 to $80) for only marginal improvements in performance. True, it's not built like a Sherman tank but it's built plenty well enough to do its job. (I like that--you know what they say, An engineer is someone who knows how to build a bridge that barely stands, but it does stand.)

Some notes:

If your window opens side to side, the height of the window on the inside ledge should be at least 26.5 inches and less than 34 inches. You need to be able to open the window at least 18 inches wide, preferably 20. They say this is a 16 inch fan, but that's the blade width. The basket is a little over 18 inches. You can screw the fan into the window, if your wife will let you. For some reason wives seem to object more to screw heads sticking out in the horizontal plane of a window than the vertical. It will work just fine to wedge the fan by turning it 90 degrees and extending the side panels appropriately. The side panels can be precisely set--they have two screws on each side. You may want to put some foam rubber or other soft material along the edge of the panels to reduce vibration--I didn't find it necessary.

If your window opens top to bottom, then the width of the inside window ledge should be at least 26.5 inches and less than 34 inches, and you should be able to open the window in such a way that the height of the opening is no more than 21 inches, 22 at the most. You can wedge the fan in this kind of window too, if screws still don't pass the wife test.

If you use screws, use the template included with the fan, and try hard to be precise, leaving about 1/16 of an inch of space at the bottom when the fan is set in. The fan has a clever keyhole scheme for hanging it in the window, similar to the keyhole opening you use when hanging a picture on a single nail. Take the keyhole length into account when using the template or be ready to put paper towels or felt/foam rubber under the fan to stop rattle.

At highest speed the fan isn't annoying--you can sleep with it in the same room if you're not a person who's bugged by white noise. At low speed, it's very quiet.

It moves a lot of air. My biggest challenge is getting my wife to buy into the idea that opening one window 6 inches will cool the room faster than opening it all the way. The idea is to get a breeze sucked into the house, instead of having cool air just mill around at window boundaries.

My fans have been going now for 4 years with no signs of quitting. But I did just buy another one as a backup. No reflection on the fan, I'm just one of Those Guys.

Be careful with the wings that extend to fit the window. They're not unduly flimsy, but they are a little flimsy. I broke one already. Another commenter worried about getting out of a window in case of a fire if the fans were screwed in. My take is that an adrenaline-charged 6 year old would have no problem flinging this fan across the room when screwed in. If you're worried, wedge.

Despite what I've said about noise and vibration, the fan is nicely balanced and not prone to excess vibration. You have to do some work mounting it correctly, but it's simple work for anyone if you relax and do it right. Get a level and a glass of wine, and you'll be fine.

You will have to clean your window screens. Kind of like replacing your furnace filters. Depending on how dusty your area is, you may have to do it more than once a year.

It is nice to be able to shut the window without moving the fan. Ours stay in the windows year round.

Bottom line: if it gets cool enough at night in the summer where you live that you wish you could sleep outside because the house stays hot, this fan is for you, if you have windows that can fit it.

I thought I would try this fan as a replacement for my Lakewood 18-inch window fan, which looks almost exactly the same in the ads. I have gone through three of the Lakewood fans over the last 18 years, and they were great for drawing cool air through my entire house. Unfortunately, the Lasko fan is less than half as powerful (0.83 amps vs. 2.0 amps). The high speed on this fan produces about as much wind as the low speed on the Lakewood fan. I will be returning this fan.

I bought an Air King 20" (same manufacturer of the Lasko) whole house fan a couple of years ago and it proved to be too much fan for my < 2000 sq. ft. condo. I went for this 16" and it does the job just as quietly as the 20". Very easy to install within the window frame and no vibration. I only wish that the side extenders were metal like they are on the Air King. The grill on the front of the fan is metal. I am very happy with this purchase and that's why it gets FIVE STARS. These are both excellent, high quality fans and I would not hesitate to purchase again.

There is a major flaw in the design of the Honeywell Whole Room Heater HZ-725. The heater is triggered to shut down completely when it overheats and you cannot reset it yourself. Honeywell recommends you have an electrician check out your electrical system when this occurs. Your only option is to return the heater to Honeywell at your expense plus an additional fee. Honeywell will then reset/repair and return the heater to you.

This heater worked for me for less than one week before completely shutting down. There was nothing I could do to get it started again. My home's electrical system with 3-prong plug outlets was in perfect working order when this occurred.

The problem with returning the heater to Honeywell for repair when this problem occurs is when you get it back from Honeywell, won't the same thing just happen all over again?

It is not my fault the heater triggered overheat; it is the fault of the heater and Honeywell. It is not my fault I cannot reset the heater when it triggers overheat; it is the fault of the heater design and Honeywell.

Do not make the mistake of buying this heater. BEWARE!

The short review:

Worked great for a month, then it overheated and wouldn't turn on. Apparently, once it overheats, the on/off switch will melt shut, forcing you to either send it in or trash it for a new one. Quality of this heater is low.

The long(er) review:

I bought this heater at a local store, not on Amazon.com, but the review still stands. It worked great for the majority of the winter. Heats a small room fairly quickly on the highest heat setting, but it has no digital display to set an exact temperature setting. It also does not heat the floor, unlike cheaper, similar units. If you leave the heater on overnight, you run the risk of melting the on/off switch into the off position. This can be fixed, but you only have 2 choices if you want to fix it.

1) Send the heater in to Kaz/Honeywell, let them force you to pay $10 to fix the heater, along with postage paid by you and be out of heat for a few days/weeks OR

2) Open it up, voiding the warranty, and fix it yourself.

I chose option 2 and after cleaning off the melted plastic (!!) inside the switch (!!), the heater works once again. It's not easy, but who can complain about a working heater?

Update: 6/2/2011

We've had a few weird months of weather here and I had to use the heater a few times. On one of those days with abnormally cold weather, this heater decided to quit and wouldn't work, no matter how much poking and prodding I did to the switch. I finally bypassed the switch altogether and got the heater to work again.

Bad bad bad design.

The header works great... until it triggers its overheat flaw and never works again. I guess I triggered that overheat flaw mentioned a few times in other reviews (which doesn't make any sense since I had it on a fairly low heat setting at the time). And like everybody else, I can't fix the problem myself. All it does now is uselessly take up space in my room. So my options are now (1) spend money I don't have on a new heater in mid-March right before the weather starts to get warm again or (2) wait out the cold weather for a little bit longer and save my money. Either way, I'm not buying another Honeywell heater ever again. I bought this heater in January and now on March 14th it no longer works.

This heater might work well in a smaller, enclosed room, but it did absolutely nothing for my open dining room. One of its flaws is that the heat is emitted from the top, so if you're trying to get your feet warm (Important! helps your whole body warm up), you're out of luck, as the top of the heater is about two feet off the floor. Also, I don't know if it's just a personal preference of mine or if there really is a difference in efficacy, but heaters that BLOW as opposed to those that just RADIATE seem to warm me, and the room, more quickly and efficiently.

As for the other reviewers mentioning that theirs broke after a short period of time, I'm not even going to comment on that, as I've only had mine for a day. But between the shortcomings I've noticed myself and those I've read about, I'm not going to take any chances. This thing is getting returned as soon as I can get it back into the box. I only wish I'd read the reviews before I purchased.

I was looking for a double burner with the same wattage on both burners. This one really did not specify in the description that the one side was a warmer rather than a burner and it simply did not get hot enough. Returned it because it was also scratched and dented when I received it with no problems from the seller. I am an amateur sausage maker and like to finish cooking in water. Until now, I had to pay close attention to the stove top to make sure the temperature did not get too high. Since I already own a very precise and accurate temperature controller (made by Auber Instruments), it was a simple process to turn this food warmer into a sous vide or sausage cooking machine after placing a full size steam pan into this warmer. I can now set the Auber temp controller to whatever water temp I want and also set my target internal meat temperature and go do other things without worries. This SEJ80000C (which by the way is really a Thunder Group product) heats quickly and is capable of attaining at least 180 F (that's the highest I tested it, it may go hotter). It seems to be well made and durable. I like that it has an indicator light that lights up when the heating elements are on. I am glad that Amazon had this available for Prime members. I almost bought a similar food warmer from a local food service company for twice the price I paid here on Amazon.
