We bought this to heat our steel products up prior to painting them and this little guy did the trick. Heats things up in a hurry and saves us in dry time after painting. It really blast the heat out, but keeps the flames totally contained. Great design. Definitely would recommend this for heating a pretty good size area in a hurry.

I got the heater over 2 weeks ago. The heater itself I would give 5 stars. The heater works just as advertised. The variable btu control works good and the thermostat does a good job of controlling on / off to maintin a good working temperature in my garage. Now the bad part. The propane hose that is supplied with the unit is junk! It is like a recoil spring that will not straighten out even when warmed. So bad that I will be replacing it with a better quality hose. I wrote to Mr. Heater over a week ago giving them a chance to make it right. I asked them to send me a better quality hose. Not even an email reply, And of course, no hose. If I had to rate the hose separately it would not get any stars. If you want a good heater, by all means buy this one but be prepared to replace the hose.

This is a awesome heater for what I needed. I puts out ton of heat. You must be careful with it as you would any heater especially a forced air heater. The temp control is awesome and it ran for quite some time with a 20lb cylinder. I ran (seemingly) forever on a 100lb cylinder. Would certainly recommend this product for anyone needing a portable heat source.

It is nice and light, not too big and works great. The controls work good and are easy to use. It will go through a 20 lbs cylinder, on the lowest setting, in less than 8 hours. It works good and has a lot less stink than a kerosene unit.

Purchased this heater new and it will not stay lit after one minute. Would like to exchange or return. Manufacturer's phone has been disconnected. What does this mean? Will all purchased heaters not be warrantied?

I manage several buildings that feature these, They are very common in apartments and they work very well. Lots of heat, pretty low noise, and they take up very little wall space; just don't place furniture too close to them and vacuum the grill out once a year. These are often run by a wall thermostat; over-riding the built-in one.

I ordered this as a replacment for a failed unit. It was an exact match and installed easily in place of the old one within minutes. The prior unit failed after we had the house for four years. And I believe the original unit was installed a few years before we bought the house. So it lasted 4+? years.

Cadet #67507 2000W Wall Fan Heater Plenty of heat, wish the forced air fan was bigger. If I were to buy one again I think I would have gone with the next size bigger from Cadet. I have one in my family room and love it, this one just doesn't blow the hot air. I worry about it over-heating.

I have Cadet wall heaters in my apartment. One of these 2000 watt units in the living room, two 1000 watt units in the 2 bedrooms.

As far as I can tell, the thermostats are useless. Just as an example:

I have one of the 1000 watt units turned on in my bedroom right now. The room is 68-69 degrees. If you turn the thermostat all the way down to shut the heater off, and then turn it up until the heater turns on, it turns on at about 62 degrees. If you then turn it down until the heater goes off, it turns off at about 54 degrees.

That's an 8 degree swing. And the setpoints are WAY off from the actual temperature in the room.

I don't understand why I don't see a lot of complaints on the internet about this kind of heater. I don't think it's just Cadet, I think it's the particular type of thermostat, no matter who the manufacturer. I believe these are what are called "bimetallic" thermostats. As far as I can tell they are utterly useless. All they are good for is as an on off switch.

At least that is my opinion based on my own experience. If I'm missing something, someone please point it out to me.

Has anyone ever been actually able to control the temperature within a reasonable range with these? If so please speak up and explain how you were able to do so.

I got this to replace a 50a55-480 controller for my Trane furnace (TDE080).

I got it instead of the cheaper 50a55-843 for 2 reasons:

1) It drives newer Silcon Nitride ignitors which are supposed to be more reliable than the older silicon carbide ignitors. It will also drive your existing silicon carbide ignitor.

2) This kit also includes an ignitor, worth about $25. I keep it as a spare until my SiC ignitor fails.

Installation is easy using the supplied instructions, but there are a few things to note:

1) The unit mounts to the same clips as the 50a55-480, but is about 1/2 inch wider on the left side (with LED).

2) The indicator LED is in a different place, so I had to drill a new 1/4" hole in the furnace to be able to see the light from the outside.

3) The harness adapter (F) works fine and provides a spade clip for the Flame Sensor. Also be sure to install the rollout jumper between pins 5 and 11. Trane furnaces don't have rollout sensors. I preferred to skip the adapter and do a little minor surgery to attach a spade clip directly to the flame sensor wire. The gas valve connection is OK as long as the controller is configured for a single-stage furnace.

4) When the thermostat's Fan-ON switch is set, most controllers enable the cool-H fan terminal. However, this controller enables the Heat-L terminal. You should connect a "parked" (red, blue, yellow) fan lead to Heat-L, or if you don't have air conditioning, connect the black cool-H lead to the Heat-L terminal instead.

5) As mentioned in a previous review, all of the 6 neutral spades are connected together, so it doesn't matter which ones you use. To be extra nerdy, put the incoming line-N on a center terminal and Fan-N and Xfrmr-N on the adjacent terminals.

This was to replace a obsoleat one, the wireing instruction could have been more expliced to the one it is to replace.

I wouldn't have had to call in the HVAC guy, to be sure I had it right. It works the air, now if it works the heat and the humidifier in the heating season, the I'll upgrade my rateing to "Love IT", cause I sure saved a lota money.

Very easy installation, if you are a DIY type of person then replacing this control module will be a piece of cake. The instructions are clear. Came with a large selection of adapter connections for many different type of applications. The seller shipped out the product the same day it was ordered and was delivered a day early! Which was good because it was getting chilly in my house.

LuxPro PSPU732T 7 Day Programmable Touch Screen Thermostat - 3 Heat/2 Cool

The LuxPro PSPU732T is the only accurate thermostat with a built in humidistat that I could find on the market that has an option to control the temperature and humidity independently. I could not find this feature on any Honeywell, White-Roger or any other digital thermostat with built in humidistat. This feature is especially useful for minimizing energy consumption in vacant summer homes in humid climates. It is an established fact that high humidity causes mold and mildew to form and that as long as the humidity is controlled the temperature can be allowed to get much higher in a vacant home than when it is occupied. Other manufacturers that make thermostats with built in humidistats turn off the AC if the conditioned air temperature falls 3 degrees below the thermostat's setting, even if the humidity is higher than set by the humidistat. I believe that this is done to prevent the AC to run continuously if the humidistat is set too low, a valid issue. However, with such products, if the thermostat is not set low enough the humidity can exceed the desired levels in periods when the temperature is moderate but the humidity is above the level where mold/mildew can form, a condition that can occur many times. In fact, if the temperature is set too low it can cause mold/mildew to form at outside wall sheet rocks where the humid outside air and the cold inside air meet. The LuxPro's humidistat is accurate to +-4 percent. It would be better if it would be tighter but this is the most accurate humidistat that I found, most manufacturers don't even state the humidistat accuracy and the one thermostat with similar features that I bought had a humidistat that was off by at least 20% making it useless for controlling humidity.

The LuxPo is a full featured programmable thermostat with a well designed human interface and an excellent display that has a back light which can be set to be on permanently or turn off a few seconds after the display is touched. It has many options that need to be set up properly, however, once it is set up it is easy to use. It has non-volatile memory and does not need batteries. There is an optional outdoor wireless temperature sensor for automatically controlling the humidity in cold climates which I didn't test.

If there is anything negative, it is the Instruction Manual that is missing the calibration information for the humidistat (probably very rarely needed) and could elaborate on the de-humidification and other options.

After researching all the digital thermostats with humidistats on the market I can say that the LuxPro is the best product for controlling the temperature and humidity in homes in warm climates that are vacant for extended periods.

Just installed this fan and am very happy with it. Quiet, moves plenty of air and relatively easy to install. One comment is the instructions don't emphasize that both the fan and the diffuser are directional, that is, they each have an opening which must face the other. If this is not noticed, either unit's housing would block the air flow towards the other unitTjernlund AireShare Room-To-Room Ventilator Hardwired, Model# AS1. Another thing to note is the possibility of a 'block' in the wall cavity. If one unit is mounted high and the other low, one needs to probe the cavity to make sure there is not a 2x4 block midway. The hard part of this installation is accessing and wiring power to the fan, which can involve cutting access holes in the wall and possibly installing a junction box. Not for the casual do it yourself person.

In short, a professional product and far better than the usual cheap, noisy bathroom fan.

Click Here For Most Helpful Customer Reviews >>

The first thing I noticed out of the box was surprisingly high quality (heavy motor) for the price. Yes, you can hear it, but that is to be expected a fan has a motor and moves air, both of which create noise. Don't expect it to BLAST air into the other room; it will be close to a light breeze, yet quite effective.

Like some others, I needed to move air from a very hot wood-stove heated room. Much of the rest of the house becomes cold once the thermostat is satisfied by the stove. It was pretty easy to install, just be careful to cut the holes in your walls to the exact size of the template. Also, it is easy to verify if there is a fire block/stop in your wall, but it will require making some holes: Before installation, drop a small chain or string with a weight tied to the end in a small test hole at the location where you intend to install the upper part of the system and check to see if it drops as far as a hole that you will need to make in the adjcent wall at the installation location of the lower end of the system. Before making any holes, be certain to make sure you are in the same framing bay!

To move heat, you will install the fan unit as high as possible on the the wall of the warm room. (Not too high or right against the ceiling or else it will look terrible and you run the risk of a framing obstruction 4-6 inches from the ceiling is about right.) Conversely, you will install the exhaust vent low on the wall of the cool room. You do this for obvious reasons: heat rises, so drawing air from high in the warm room and exausting it low into the cool room gives the best results.

Overall: Highly recommended.

I'm actually using this to transfer from one floor to the floor above it in an attempt to get the nice cool air from our walk-out into the hot family room during the summer.

The unit is not inexpensive, but it is quality made and shipped in a sturdy box to protect it.

Honest reviews on Tjernlund AireShare Room-To-Room Ventilator - Hardwired, Model# AS1

I tried using this ventilator to move the hot air near the wood stove to the adjoining room. The web site and product info did not offer any guidelines on room dimensions that this fan is good for. My rooms are way too big so it was a complete wrong fit. I think it is a good product but it needs much better advice on how to use it. I think it would work well for small rooms.

It was easy to install, but like other reviews I was thinking it would move more air. But we are using it for moving air from one floor to the next like the directions say not to. So over all please with it.

I purchased this heater about a year ago for use on our patio and have been generally disappointed with it. For one, it doesn't really put out much heat if you're more than a few feet away. Also, the device is clearly made for outdoor use, but housing is already rusting badly from exposure to the elements (and I live in southern California).

When I received this heat gun I wasn't sure I liked it because I was use to a Leister commercial gun which I am now selling on eBay. The more I use this budget type heat gun the more I like it. I wish it had a cool down setting but I knew it didn't when I ordered it. I use a heat gun to form heavy plastic, heat shrink tubing, and remove large pressure sensitive labels. This gun does all of the above with ease. If you are looking for a low price heat gun with a case and attachments you can't go wrong with this gun.

I purchased this unit last month to make deep fried chicken wings, Hooter-style...I got a good recipe and fried them up per instructions and made the most outstanding hot wings in the world....the fryer worked very well....very easy to use once I figured out that my GFI outlet in kitchen had tripped...the unit brought the oil to temp fairly quickly and recovery time was out standing....liked the basket and the drain plug for oil....I highly recommend this unit...note....when frying put it on your oven under range hood to help eliminate the 'fry smell'....1st time I used I didn't and stunk up the house....after that I never had that problem.

I highly recommend the DeLonghi D14527DZ Dual Zone Deep Fryer.

With it's huge 3lb food capacity my family no longer has to wait for the "second round" of fries or tots or anything.

The front drain has a huge advantage over picking up the old unit and trying to dump it into some container for disposal.

Very very happy with my purchase.

Best Deals on DeLonghi D14527DZ Dual Zone Deep Fryer

We purchased this because we had several DeLonghi products that have been reliable, and we needed a fryer larger than our DeLonghi Rotofryer. A Rotofryer is good for a couple of people, but its small capacity makes it hard to keep a number of guests supplied in munchies.

First of all, this model is wonderfully designed for safety and cleaning. The magnetically attached cord will pull out at a light tug, and the operating controls require you to set them fully before any heat is applied to the oil. Despite an hour of continuous use frying fresh onion rings and zuchini, there was absolutely no burned flour in the bottom (the cool zone) and the oil was easily filtered when we were done. Finally, it comes apart in five pieces, four of which can go right in the dishwasher, making cleanup easy and safe. All the metal seems to be entirely stainless steel.

The controls, because of the safety design, are not as intuitive as one would expect, but I think it's a good trade. However, you have to set them correctly to know when your oil has returned to the proper temperature.

In my opinion, it is superior to the built-in fryers some of my friends have in their commercial ranges in their kitchens -far easier to clean.

Honest reviews on DeLonghi D14527DZ Dual Zone Deep Fryer

Easy to set up and use. Thermostat heats oil to desired setting with numbers display. Easy to clean and drain used oil. This deep fryer has replaced 3 T-Fal and 1 Cooks Essentials fryer. A bit expensive for this deep fryer but worth every penny in the long run. I give it A+++++ in overall value.

Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for DeLonghi D14527DZ Dual Zone Deep Fryer

My De'Longhi fryer was purchased for me from Sam's Club. I had been frying with an old Fry Baby that my husband and I affectionately referred to as "Ol' Sparky" because of its tendency to spark where the plug attached to the fryer. The Fry Baby was so poorly designed that we made a list of what we wanted in an fryer and went looking for it.

1. Size. This fryer uses about 1 gallon of oil at a time, and in that oil can cook several cups of French fries (at a time). This means that we can have guests over and finish fries in two batches. The Fry Baby would take over and hour to make a comparable pile of fries.

2. Oil removal. We reuse our oil several times, and the Fry Baby required that we pour the oil over the top and through a funnel. The De'Longhi fryer has a spout neatly tucked behind the front door of the fryer so that once the oil is cool, you can simply open the valve and drain it into the container of your choosing. No more spilling, funnels, and mess.

3. Temperature control. Ol' Sparky had a dial marked "1-10" and we could choose our setting. This, of course, is meaningless and required us to rig a thermometer to the hot oil, and adjust manually. The De'Longhi has a thermocouple attached to the heating element that reports the temperature to a thermostat and automatically readjusts the temperature when you add food items to the oil.

Since we purchased our fryer, we noticed some other nice features.

4. The plug is magnetically attached. If you accidentally pull it, it comes away from the fryer rather than knocking the fryer and hot oil off the counter. (We operate ours further out on the counter than other appliances to allow the steam produced from frying food to escape.)

5. The loosely attached lid allows steam to escape (the Fry Baby had a nearly-sealing glass lid). Allowing steam to condense on the lid and the water to drop into the oil can cause it to boil violently.

6. This fryer comes in many parts. There is the outer housing (the silver base with blank handles and door), the heating element with electronics, the plug, the lid, the basket, and the inner container for the oil (with the spout). Initially, this seemed like a lot, however, because you can take it apart, it is very easy to clean. You can remove the heating element and clean it (it securely latches on). Once you've drained the oil through the spout, you can remove this part and clean it. And of course, the basket is removable. Usually, this is all that gets dirty when we fry.

I highly recommend this fryer. We have done lots of frozen French Fries (maybe 30 pounds worth) and other appetizers (such as jalepeno poppers) at room temperature. The De'Longhi responds well to the addition of frozen items by quickly readjusting the temperature.

Cheers!
