Reviews of Kozy Word GSD4400 Lancaster Gas Stove, Dual Fuel
This stove burns cleanly with no propane smell residue. Relatively easy to assemble. I had to get some aftermarket screws to mount the fake logs correctly, but a minor issue for a stove that functions so well when assembled.

First of all, I am no home fixit guy. I did some Internet research and decided that the even though the Nest was much cooler looking it might (and I didn't test it of course) not learn as well as it advertised. So I decided to get a more conventional thermostat that had all the Internet bells and whistles. Long story short I installed it with absolutely no problems, including connecting it to my WI-FI. In less than an hour I had my Ecobee portal and was programmed. I love the remote acessability and reports. I can access it from a browser, iPhone and iPad. Lots of configurability and the daily schedule is easy to change. They can update the SW over the Net so I am pretty confident it will just get better. The display is simple and direct (not though as simple as the Nest). There are some menus but they are very well done and very easy to learn. Kudos to this well thought out product.
Alas, SmartSI won't won't work with my configuration. I have an AC unit and oil burner. The oil burner does not produce the required 24V signal, and the unit will not operate with just the 24V signal coming from the AC unit.
The support desk was responsive, but not all that helpful. They kept sending diagrams of configurations that didn't match what my AC service man was describing. After spending 2 hours and $200 trying to get it installed, I ended up returning the unit. We'll see if Alpine dings me 10% for opening the box and cracking the binding on the installation manual.

The feature set is perfect for what I need. Ecobee's Privacy Policy is first class, unlike their competitors. Venstar's policy is non-compliant with the law, cavalier with your data and they don't care. The Nest policy reads as if they're planning to renegue and turn YOU into the product when they build enough users.Alas, SmartSI won't won't work with my configuration. I installed the Ecobee in about 45 minutes, liked it so much I bought 2 more for rental properties. There is absolutely nothing not to like about this. These people who said it wasnt "compatible" with their system probably just dont know how to read the manual. You have to tell it what type of system you haveheat pump, gas furnace + AC etc.... This thing is so smart it knows ho wlong it takes yoru HVAC to heat or cool your house so if you program it to turn up the heat at say 7AM, it can be set up to make sure it's warmed up BY 7AM. I think the thig I love most about the Ecobee is the ability to wake up in the morning & turn up the heat without getting out of bed. By the way, Amazon has the best price anywhere on this.Honest reviews on ecobee EB-EMSSi-01 2 Heat 2 Cool Energy Management System
I already had installed an Ecobee Smart Thermostat on one of the HVAC systems in the house and was very pleased. The only negatives were the cost and the need to install the remote control board in the air handler. While I understand the significant advantages to this design, it makes the installation a bit more complicated and intimidating. The new Si model is affordable and very easy to install. In fact, I purchased 2 of them for the other zones in the house and had them both installed and running in about 30 minutes total. I'm very pleased with the Ecobee offering and would highly recommend it without hesitation.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for ecobee EB-EMSSi-01 2 Heat 2 Cool Energy Management System
Tired of physically programming multiple thermostats for shifting schedules, we decided to try two ecobee EB-EMSSi-01 units. We loved the way they worked and the ability to manage them remotely. We now have eight. The "Calendar" feature, enabling us to program for special events outside of our normal schedule, is especially helpful. With the control we now have we are experiencing a more comfortable building and expect cost savings, too.Monday, January 19, 2015

I was hesitant to purchase this unit because of the lack of reviews, but based on the positive reviews of the company's other units on amazon I went ahead and purchased it on Saturday. The unit arrived on Monday with two day shipping and it took about an hour and a half to install. Be warned that installation is a two person job. The unit easily exceeds a hundred pounds and installation is not as straightforward as a smaller window unit.
Installation instructions are a bit confusing. It seems that whoever wrote them wanted to include all the details, but this is done at the expense of clarity. For example, the manual says to attach the side panels to the cabinet, but doesn't specify in which direction to place the screws. It becomes obvious once you think about it, but this is one of the details they fumbled. Otherwise, pictures are included and the parts were all labeled. FYI for anyone worried about minimum window height (which is advertised as being 18.5"), my window vertical opening was exactly 18.5" and I had no problems with installation. I wouldn't advise anyone with a smaller opening to purchase this unit, however.
During installation you can see and feel the quality of the parts. You don't get the feeling that they skimped on anything to save money, and the unit just feels very sturdy overall.
As soon as the unit was powered on, I was surprised with its overall strength. This is supposed to cool a living/dining area and kitchen (total about 750sq ft) in a very sunny part of the house, and it had no problem cooling to 74 on a 100 degree day with the low fan setting. Fairly quiet for its size, too. There is a very faint rattling noise once in a while, but nothing too bothersome.
I only took off one star for the installation instructions, but I am very happy with the unit itself, and wouldn't hesitate to purchase it again, especially considering the price compared to other brands.
AC unit has been installed now for 1 month and we are impressed. At 90F no issues with cooling our entire downstairs and keeping it at 70F. Only reason I gave 4 stars is due to shipping damage or else would have given a 5.
Would recommend.

This air conditioner works fantastic and is quiet. I would highly recommend this air conditioner to anyone who would like a great bargain for this price. 18,500 btu's is pretty powerful, but you do have to have 220 outlet. I could be jinxing myself by writing this review, but this is the first space heater I've owned that hasn't flaked out on me after a few months I've had this one for about two years and I use it virtually every weekday at work since my office is like a meat locker. It's small, puts out a good amount of heat and it's fairly quiet though just loud enough that I think of it as doubling as a white noise machine, which for my work setting is very useful. It has a thermostat and two heat settings (though frankly I can't feel the difference between them so I just keep it on "1"). Probably not good for use around children/pets; aside from the obvious dangers, this unit is also very small and lightweight and could be easily tipped over.

As another reveiwer noted, this is not a safety heater. If you have small children or pets, you will want larger sized heater that is designed to not get too hot to the touch. This is very powerful heater, and due to its small compact size the heat is concentrated all in one small area, which understandably gets very hot. I like this heater a lot, and I previously purchased 3 of them. The controls are straighforward and functional, the size is small, and it looks sharp. Unfortunately one of the 3 stopped working after 1.5 years, thus my 4 star rating instead of 5.Best Deals on Holmes HCH4062B-UM Small Ceramic Heater with Manual Control
This heater is perfect for my office, which is always ridiculously cold. It's fairly quiet and does a nice job keeping me warm all day. My only complaint is that it smelled sort of funny for awhile when I first got it, but that's mostly gone away now, and I think that's common among space heaters.Honest reviews on Holmes HCH4062B-UM Small Ceramic Heater with Manual Control
I was without furnace heat for a week and my neighbors loaned me two Holmes Dual Ceramic heaters to use and they were wonderful. When I searched for these, I found that they were no longer made and that the company was now selling these. They are cheap looking and not at all what I expected after having used their previously sold dual heaters. I have run it for several hours and the intense smell of chemicals is still present. I've had many a headache from this heater even though I have opened the windows and run the air purifier. I'm throwing it away. It is without a doubt, the most useless thing I have ever bought on Amazon.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Holmes HCH4062B-UM Small Ceramic Heater with Manual Control

This is a better fire place than most but as a TV stand it is pretty average. The construction is good and it is very well made, but the drawers are painfully small and basically pointless. I do have to say though, it doesn't cost very much to operate. Even with the flames going and the unit running pretty much steadily throughout the day and the evening, this is costing only around thirty dollars per month according to what I can figure out on my power bill. I love the realistic look of the flames and that you can set the different settings individually to make just the right fire look. The cord is nice and long and the cabinets are nice. I would recommend it.

I have had one of these for several years now and I really like it. It fairly easy to program and once you are done and close the flip up door its very easy to use day-to-day.
I am back to buy one for my 85 year old mother and the key was to keep it simple. There are only three buttons on the outside. Override up and down and the light button. The override lasts only until the next program starts so it perfect. The light really helps since it's in a hallway and its nice not to have to turn the lights on.
The display includes the time, target temp and current temp. It only shows two of the three values at one time so it has to flip back and forth between two of them every couple of seconds but that is the only thing that is less than perfect.
It does have a "hold" button which is good for when you are away and want to keep the temp set at one point.
I really like that its not cluttered with fancy buttons, a touchscreen or so many features that it takes away from its simplicity.
Programming is mostly intuitive, however, some miscellaneous settings are not. (Like the filter change notification, which is reset using the "Up" button) The default program is set for the Energy Star recommended temperatures. Although the Energy Star settings are a bit unrealistic, (such as sleeping with the AC set to 82 degrees during the summer) it gives something to base your program on. Another plus is the indiglo type light button that lets you see the screen in the dark.
There are a couple of minor negatives. First, a larger screen would be nice you can't see the current and set temps from more than a few feet away. Also, this may not bother some people, but I don't like the fact that the set temperature and time aren't shown on the screen at the same time I find the blinking back and forth between the two values annoying. Despite this, I still rate this unit at 5 stars since the core functionality is top notch.
Very easy to install and program user friendly.
Works like a champ and is already saving me money on my heating bill.
Wish I would have purchased it years ago as it definitely is a money saver.
I choose this one based on Consumer Reports recommending it as a best buy and user friendly programming capability.

I purchased 2 TX1500s to replace the Carrier digital thermostats that came with my house. The old ones were very inaccurate, sometimes as much as 6 degrees off the true temperature. I purchased these mostly based on the positive Consumer Reports review, and I'm happy to say that this model keeps extremely accurate temperature never off by more than 1 degree from true temperature. My house is much more comfortable during winter and summer now. This unit does all the basics right, is well worth the price, and I would buy it again. Besides the accuracy, the programming is relatively flexible while there is only 1 weekday setting, Saturday and Sunday are separate settings.Programming is mostly intuitive, however, some miscellaneous settings are not. Kalorik WM 30821 Rotate S.S Waffle Maker Review
I purchased this waffle maker because I used one similar at a hotel. This model is terrible. It is really hard to get the handle lined up to shut it tight, difficult to swivel, & cooks unevenly. It's almost all plastic & the metal is cheap cheap cheap! My waffles were unevenly cooked & even after I greased the surface like mad, the waffles STILL stuck. I will be returning this product & you will too if you buy it.

Customer Ratings:
List Price: $1,200.00
Sale Price: $699.99

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I just received this Krups Espresseria automatic machine. I have a Jura ENA 4 at my work so I will try to make some comparisons to them. The Jura is about the same price and they both have very similar features. I was so excited when I found out I would be receiving this Krups machine so that I can make my cappuccino at home too! I am a coffee fool so I make alot. With winter coming up this will be well used. Ok I have been using the Jura for some time at my work and it has been a very nice machine and is easy to setup, clean, and use. The Krups is no exception here as it is very easy to setup. Just fill the water container, bean hopper, set language, ML or OZ for liquid measurement, water hardness and ready to go. I use beans I buy here on Amazon. They are eight Oclock brand 50 % decaf. I chose the fine grind setting and brewed my first Cappuccio in less than a minute and the froth was superb. The coffee taste and strength is every bit as good as the Jura maybe alittle stronger with the Krups. I like that the machine is fully programable for different fill levels of coffee. You can fill one or two cups at a time. The nozzle height can be adjusted for taller cups but will not accommodate tall cups without sliding the drip tray out. The Jura can accommodate tall glasses no problem. The steam wand worked very well with no mess and produced a very nice froth and is fully adjustable for many positions. I really liked the spill tray as it has a float in it that rises to let you know when it is full. The Jura does not have this. Both machines come with a water filter to help reduce the bad flavors and reduce machine descaling frequency. The both come with a starter pack of cleaning tablets. As with any coffee espresso machine it will need cleaning to keep the flavor and machine working properly. It looks like the Krups requires less frequent cleaning. Both the frothing nozzles need cleaning frequently. All in all this is a very nice machine that will see alot of use. Oh yeah I was kind of surprised when I opened the box and noticed a small amount of coffee grinds in the machine. I called Krups customer service and was promptly advised that the machines grinders are tested during the assembly. I found no mention of this in the owners info so I was surprised but it is very nice to know that the machines are quality tested before shipping them out. Oh I should note that Jura does mention in there instructions that small traces of coffee grinds may be found in there machines for the same reason. Well I will try to make some comparisons now.
The Krups you can only use whole beans and no preground coffee.
The Jura has a bypass doser that allows you to use preground coffee.
The Jura does not come with a milk container and must be bought separately for about 80-100 dollars.
The Krups does come with its own stainless steel milk container even though it is not mentioned or shown in any of the pictures. I was really hoping it did come with it. Yeah!!
The Krups is made in France and not Mexico or China.
The Jura has a removable bean container.
The Krups does not have a removable bean container so no quick swapout of beans. Must run them all trough machine.
They both hold about the same amount of old grind cakes at 14.
The Jura needs to be cleaned every 180 cycles.
The Krups needs to be cleaned every 360 cycles. Big plus here!
The Jura takes about 44 minutes on the cleaning cycle.
The Krups take about 22 minutes on the cleaning cycle.
Both have an energy saving mode that is programable.
Both can be changed from ML to Oz for fluid measurement.
Both Krups and Jura come with a 2 year or 6000 cup warranty.
My likes about the Krups are slightly stronger coffee than the Jura.
Less frequent cleaning demands with the Krups.
Krups comes with its own Stainless milk container so you can fill it and put back in fridge when not using. The Jura you must purchase the milk container for 8-100 dollars.
Krups has a drip tray float to remind you when it needs cleaning out.
The Krups costumer service department was very quick and responsive when I called them. Oh yeah and they were all American so I could understand them.
The Krups has a better look for a home than does the Jura in my opinion.
I like being able to see how full the bean container is on the Krups without looking down in it unlike the Jura.
My dislikes abouth the Krups are no removable bean container. So when you want to change coffee beans to another brand you must cycle them through where as the Jura you can remove the bean container and empty it out.
Cannot use preground coffee as an option where as you can on the Jura.
The Krups nozzle does not raise as high as I would like to accommodate taller cups but can if you slide the drip tray out first.
So bottom line would I recommend the Krups Espresseria machine??? Yes I defiantly would!!!
UPDATE:
Ok so I have been using it for some time now and love it more than ever!! My wife too!! When just making a good old fashioned coffee the creama is so rich and yummy. I love it. I am still experimenting with all the minor adjustments you can make to custom tailor it but so far I like the grind set on very fine for a very robust flavor but not bitter at all. I am also loving the included milk container for the milk froth. It is very nice to be able to just fill it, use it, then put back in the fridge when done. Jura makes you pay extra for there milk container so nice job Krups!! Well just wanted to give an update as to how things are going here. Thanks
Pros
+ All in one unit. Stores, grinds, brews and disposes of your coffee. No outside water lines needed.
+ Stainless Steel milk frothing bottle provided. Very nice!
+ Auto clean/rinse cycle. Only needs complete cleaning once every 360 cycles!
+ Modern and sleek black look. Also, very compact in size for an espresso machine.
+ Easy to use digital interface and quick set up.
+ Water proof service guide stored inside a side slot of the machine.
+ Steamer nozzle also dispenses hot water for tea/hot chocolate drinkers.
+ Extremely quick brew time. Less than 2 minutes.
+ Energy efficient and has an auto-off timer.
+ Made in France (not Taiwan or China like many products today).
+ 2 year or 6,000 cup warrantee.
+ Machine alerts you on all cleaning/replacement functions.
+ Tool provided for easy installation of the unit's water filter. Especially useful if you have larger hands.
Cons
Incredibly expensive.
Milk frothing bottle and attachments are a bit cumbersome to use and clean.
Water filters are $18-20 each and need to be replaced every two months.
Unable to use flavored or pre-ground coffee. There's no bypass chamber to change beans. Once your coffee is in the machine it's in there until you use it.
Frother is rather rigid and has limited flexibility. It's also difficult to use on a countertop, especially with larger mugs. You need to have it on the counter edge to even get a larger cup out.
Can be rather noisey, especially early in the morning. Water tank can rattle quite a bit when brewing the coffee.
Clock display doesn't stay on when you're not using the machine.
Water dispenser tray platform is a bit small and while the coffee nozzles do raise, it's not really enough for larger coffee mugs.
Some crucial pieces of the machine are plastic (coffee nozzles, parts of the frother etc.). I would prefer them to be metal as the plastic feels like it could crack from the heat.
The Krups EA8250001 Espresseria Full Automatic Espresso and coffee Machine is something most people would never buy but would love to receive it as a gift. I'm sure there are many of these machines on wedding registries from couples with crossed fingers. For the price this machine should definitely be considered an investment. Spending this much on an espresso machine is difficult to justify. However, if you can afford the purchase price it definitely does what it's supposed to. I can absolutely say that I'm the envy of all my coffee drinking coworkers and friends. I know our household will get many years of use out of it.
We bought this assuming that it would not replace our regular drip coffee maker. But we completely stopped using the coffee maker and instead have cappuccino or cafe creme every day. The automatic cappuccino foamer is really quite clever and easy to clean. We have found that you need milk fat to make a decent foam so use whole milk or add a little 1/2 n 1/2 to whatever reduced fat milk you use and it will make a good foam. It takes a few experiments to see how long you need to let the steam run to get the right amount of milk foam to mix with the strong espresso. We have finally landed on 15 seconds. The machine always comes back to whatever setting you used last, so once you get a setting you like you can pretty much just push a few buttons and your coffee is ready in less than 2 minutes from the time you power up the machine.
It pays to experiment with beans also. We use a mix of 1/2 decaf cafe Britt which is nice and dark and adds an earthy flavor, and 1/2 regular caf Lavazza Super Crema because that seemed to be a consensus good espresso bean. The Lavazza is a medium roast. So now we have the coffee we like, and cappuccinos better than any we can get in a restaurant or coffee shop (always way way too much milk). I am confident we would never use a manual machine. My hats off to people who do. If you are like me and want a great espresso, cappuccino or cafe noisette every day, you will love this machine
The advantages of this Krups machine are that: 1) it's the most compact machine, 2) it's very simple to operate 3) it has the lowest cost of the different super automatic brands (as of 10-26-2011), 4) and it can use oily beans unlike the other different brands of machines. 5) Also, it runs the longest between cleaning cycles (360 cycles) compared to the other brands. The resulting coffee is, of course, rich and smooth and full of flavor. That being said, it is important to note that coffee flavor seems to be more related to the quality/freshness of coffee beans used rather than the machine itself.
The disadvantages of this Krups machine are its high cost (relative to my cheap coffee machines before) and no bypass doser. But both of these disadvantages are minimal especially when you compare the Krups cost to the other super automatic espresso machines. On the other hand, a bypass doser is important for that quick decaf, one would want to make for late night after dinner.
Bottom line is: I'd give this device 4.5 stars since it does not have the bypass doser. But if you want an easy to use, minimal maintenance, one-touch espresso machine, that is compact and costs the least of the super automatics then I think this Krups is the machine you want to invest in.
The one "complaint" that I had about the machine was that the auto milk attachment didn't get hot enough (i.e. it got up to around 110 degrees F), so I started nuking my coffee to get it to a good "americanized" coffee temperature. But, I found a solution: when you hit the steam button and the milks starts pouring into your cup, pinch the plastic tube so that it sputters--this will allow more steam to get into the mix, thereby heating up the milk more. The result? Milk that gets to about 140 degrees F!! Perfect stuff. Also, BTW--I've successfully used almond milk from the start, so if you want to go healthy and tasty, then you have a good non-dairy, non-soy option. Cheers and enjoy!

Thanks

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program We're a 2-3 cup a day coffee household. This doesn't include all of the weekly trips to the coffee shop while at work for more specialized drinks. Prior to getting this espresso maker we simply brewed flavored coffee at home with cheap and disposable coffee makers. We were of course overjoyed to welcome the Krups EA8250001 Espresseria Full Automatic Espresso and coffee Machine into our kitchen. Here are my thoughts;Pros

This could seriously be the best thing I have ever purchased. It is expensive, but man, it is great to wake up and push 3 different buttons a total of 5 different times and have an excellent cup of cappuccino. It could not be easier. Set up is a breeze. The machine tells you when you need water or a new filter. You can see the coffee beans. There is no mess to clean up. When it is time to empty the spent grounds (about every 10-15 cups) a message comes on, you pull out a side drawer, dump it in the trash, empty and rinse the water tray and ... voila.
Honest reviews on KRUPS EA8250001 Espresseria Full Automatic Espresso Machine
This is the best super automatic espresso machine out there based on my own, super-nerdy formula: "(rich flavor * ease of use) / cost." Dorky, yes, but you're talking to someone who came up with decisionking.com and previously has used a one-touch Tassimo machine in USA, one-touch Philips machine in Spain, and a few other cheap espresso machines including the manual kind. I am a resident of Spain and a US citizen, so I appreciate a good european style "cafe con leche."The advantages of this Krups machine are that: 1) it's the most compact machine, 2) it's very simple to operate 3) it has the lowest cost of the different super automatic brands (as of 10-26-2011), 4) and it can use oily beans unlike the other different brands of machines. 5) Also, it runs the longest between cleaning cycles (360 cycles) compared to the other brands. So, I've had this machine for about a month now, and I'll echo much of what others have said: it makes an awesome cup of espresso (especially if you've got good quality espresso roasted beans, but that goes without saying). The fully automatic nature of the machine makes it a dream to easily get a good cup of coffee, and I'm fiendishly excited that I can reduce my outlays to Starbucks. The one "complaint" that I had about the machine was that the auto milk attachment didn't get hot enough (i.e. it got up to around 110 degrees F), so I started nuking my coffee to get it to a good "americanized" coffee temperature. Best EdgeStar Server Cool 14,000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner Deals
Installed this unit in my server room and the exhaust blower fan broke in 5 months. The company sent a replacement unit and this unit lasted 2 years then the cooler blower fan broke. It worked well while it was working but considering I have a "As seen on TV" portable air conditioner" in my other server room thats been running for 8 years without failure and cost half as much I wouldn't recommend this product.
Now lets see how they stand up to the warranty,
It seems with this brand if you make it past the 2 year mark, they keep going. I'd highly recommend some type of extended warranty.
-----------------------------
This unit was a good unit for us. We were really happy with it. It seem to work good, cool good, have all the parts we need, etc. We bought it in 9/2011 and it helped lower the heat in the server room we have.
We purchased it because we have a room with a few servers and wanted to cool it down. We had to put it on its own breaker because with the servers and hardware sometime it would trip the switch which was fine.
So as good as it seem to be we never thought we would be writting this review. DO NOT BUY THIS UNIT!!!!
WHY YOU ASK, after their one year service agreement expired, our unit started to act up. Not blowing out cold air. Well they would not help because it was out of warranty, ok I understand that. They said just contact your local AC repair company and have them come fix it. No problem, just like if we need our house unit repaired. Then as we call around we find that NO ONE SEEMS to repair these units. This company does not have any agreements with anyone to repair them. You can not find anyone who is willing to come repair them. At almost $1000, i figured someone out there must repair these things. My team has been calling and searching for a few days and when I ask the company again here is their reply:

SO imagine how this will work, your server room or what ever you are keeping cool, you now have to send your AC unit back to them. Pack it up, ship it off and hope you get it back in a few weeks. OH and pay for the cost, which who knows what that might be. It might be the price of a NEW unit.
DO NOT DO NOT BUY THIS!!!!! I understand warranties but how do they sell something that can not be repaired when THEY say have your local repair person repair it.
-----------------------------------------
UPDATE!!!!!!!!
Got the unit back after a couple of weeks from EdgeStar. Had it less then one month and it BROKE AGAIN, not a different problem but the same problem. You would think paying $300+ for the repair, and over $70 for shipping and handling (almost HALF the price of a new unit) you would get something back that worked.
SO How did this go, well called them and they were so SHOCKED it broke again. They wanted us to ship it back to them again!. This time they would pick up the shipping and repair and not cost anything. Of course, they never fixed it right the first time. They made it sound like they were doing ME a favor. I paid to get it repaired, I shipped it to them, I waited for them to get it done and they could not GET IT right. Just tells you how bad this company is.
SO I go to send it and they ONLY use fedX, and FEDX does not ship these from all their location and THEY WILL NOT BOX IT UP. UPS, they take care of you, boxing, shipping, handling everything. But FEDX, (The walmart of LOW COST shipping), wants you to do it all. You think the company cares NO! That is your issue and your cost and THEY DO NOT SUPPORT ANYONE other then FEDX. As the manager put it to me "We are looking for the lowest cost to use and FEDX has the lowest cost for us" EXACTLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You don't care about your customers! CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP, BAD customer support, LOW COST SHIPPING, BAD PRODUCT, and a "WE DON'T CARE AOUT YOU" attitude. This all from the Managment Level of this company.
What is wrong with us American, we should NEVER buy from companies like this! Companies like this should go away!

First of all, it does work quite well for a portable unit. None of these will work as good as a window unit, but we need to cool an internal office with no windows. We have bought smaller of the same brand before and had mixed luck, so this time we luckily bought an extended warranty. Like other people mentioned, they cost more to repair than replace. The extended warranty company is just going to send us a new one.It seems with this brand if you make it past the 2 year mark, they keep going. I'd highly recommend some type of extended warranty.

We measured out our room, took into account how many servers we had, and figured we needed about 12000 btu of cooling. Surely, a 14000 BTU unit would work. Well, it does work to a degree. I guess it is keeping the temperature from skyrocketing, but it runs all the time, never turns off, and temp climbs during the day. I am not sure this unit puts our as much cooling as it claims too. We are purchasing a 9000 BUT unit to help supplement the cooling in our server room.Tuesday, January 28, 2014

I have owned this heater for at least 4 years now and I love it! The heater adjusts so you can blow the air toward your feet, your head, wherever you wish. I have taken this one camping with me and used it in the tent to make fall camping more comfortable. The size is nice and compact so it doesn't take much space.
Then, when I was recently using it, the black plastic swivel mount housing fractured in half, which completely separated the heater unit from its base, which rendered the heater non-operational. I wrote to TPI to see if I could purchase a replacement plastic swivel mount, but as I surmised before hand, they essentially had no parts for the heater as it was imported with no parts support. After some back and forth, I am pleased to report that TPI stood behind the heater (which was LONG out of warranty), and they shipped me a completely new heater at no charge (even for the shipping). I have to say that I was very impressed with TPI for doing this in an era where customer service can be rather poor and companies' standing behind their products has become something of the exception rather than the rule.
As a bonus, the new TPI 178 TMC heater put out far more heat and fan power than the old one ever did. Based on this, I can in fact recommend this little heater and especially TPI as a company.

I purchased one of these small TPI 178 TMC heaters a few years back and I was honestly never much impressed with it. While it was quiet, it hardly had any air or heat output even when run on max fan and max heating. However, I found a perfect application for it, and that was my above-ground well house. Since it is a small 8 ft x 10 ft well-insulated outbuilding, I actually couldn't have a larger output heater in it during the winter months without it putting too much heat out for the small space. Later, I installed a thermostatically-controlled small baseboard heater in my well house and the TPI heater didn't see a lot of regular use after that (as I had a number of other, better heaters). Then, when I was recently using it, the black plastic swivel mount housing fractured in half, which completely separated the heater unit from its base, which rendered the heater non-operational. I had this heater for several months under my desk now, and I love it. It is usually working on keeping my toes warm, but once its setting "fan only" saved my iPhone that was dropped into water (iPhone recovered after a day of drying and works fine). I don't keep it running all the time, but it heats up in a matter of seconds, so a couple of minutes is enough to get warm. I don't think I would like it on the entire day because I can still hear the fan even though it is not that loud as far as fan forced heaters go.Saturday, January 4, 2014

I like the all battery option. When you have a power cut, this still works fine as no 110v is required.
I would now probably go to a programmable remote, so that my room is nice and warm when I arrive in the morning.

Used this on a cruise. When remodeling, found it for cheaper, then a regular thermostatic (less then 100$). The mounting was different then my previous valve. It took me couple of trips to the local HD to find a proper adapters (two for each inlet). Then I figured out that my shower head has a different size of attachment and one more adapter needed. If something goes bad have no idea where to find spare parts. But the valve itself works as intended.

I have had chocolate fountains before and I thought that this one would be great, two in one!
I just got it and the first thing that I noticed was how loud it is! I brought it to work for a fun staff day and turned it on and it could be heard throughout the building. I cannot imagine what it would sound like at a party or a wedding reception.
Seems to work well so far but the noise is annoying. I do wish it was a bit warmer too. It heats up in one section and the chocolate is not circulating as well as I would like. The plastic "dippers" are about the size of toothpicks, a little hard to dip without getting it all over.
Lastly, the skewers that are provided in the package are like toothpicks. I bought kabob skewers from the grocery store to use instead. It is the only way to not wear chocolate fountain.
I have returned this item and would encourage you to save your money and not buy this product.

I was so excited to try a chocolate fountain for a party I was throwing. How cool would that be? I was wrong. I followed the instructions to a tee on melting the chocolate/oil mix before putting it into the fountain. I still could not get the fountain to flow. Numerous oil additions later and the fountain trickled. Not only did it trickle, but the chocolate now had a bad oil after taste.Lastly, the skewers that are provided in the package are like toothpicks. I purchased this fountain for a birthday party. Kids loved it. I have a little cleaning tip I would like to share with you. It is rather difficult to clean, but i found that using a baby bottle and nipple brush does the job well! I can't wait to use this fountain for our future parties! I bought chocleys "just melt it" chocolate and I found it to be great tasting and easy to melt! Thanks to the review I saw hereHonest reviews on Total Chef Double Chocolate Fountain
This was a good idea for a party, but I was not impressed at all by the quality of the product. We tried it out a few days before the party to make sure that it worked. It worked, but the motor was so loud. We added more chocolate to see if the sound was dependent on how full the basin was, but that didn't fix the issue. Also, when we put both white and dark chocolate in their separate basins, the white chocolate started turning tan -we found out that the divider separating the two basins was not completely welded/sealed down that the two different chocolates were mixing. One good note about this our guests still enjoyed the chocolate fountain (I think becasue of its novelty).Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Total Chef Double Chocolate Fountain
